The Delicate Beauty Grabbed the Cannon Fodder Villain’s Script [Quick Transmigration] - Chapter 13
Jiang Shi’s medicine was truly effective. After one night, Jian Tao felt the swelling of the bumps on his body subside. By the following evening, only faint red marks remained.
After feeding his small fish, Jian Tao headed downstairs. Having been cooped up in his room for two days, he could no longer stand staying inside.
As soon as he stepped out of his room, he heard the sound of music. Reaching the ground floor, he saw Jiang Shi, Jiang Chengli, and the others sitting on a rug, playing instruments. Jiang Shi and Jiang Chengli each held a guitar, while the others played the bass and other instruments, with someone humming along intermittently.
This was the first time Jian Tao had heard their band play. Though casual, it sounded quite good. He had originally thought this was just a hobby for a group of wealthy second-generation heirs, but they were actually quite professional.
Jiang Shi was the first to notice Jian Tao coming down the stairs. His body, which had been leaning lazily against the sofa, instinctively straightened. He shed his nonchalant air and began to play the guitar in his hands with sudden focus.
“You guys play really well,” Jian Tao praised.
The corners of Jiang Shi’s mouth twitched upward in a faint smile, but it froze in the next heartbeat. Jiang Chengli, who had his back to Jiang Shi, waved at Jian Tao. “Tao Tao, come sit here. If you like it, I’ll teach you.”
Unaware of the cold gaze behind him, Jiang Chengli didn’t notice Jiang Shi’s expression darken completely once Jian Tao obediently sat down next to him. Jiang Shi abruptly tossed his guitar aside.
The two in front of him noticed nothing. Completely ignoring him, they sat close together with their backs turned to him. Jiang Chengli looked as if he were about to wrap his arms around Jian Tao; it looked incredibly clingy!
Jiang Shi stood up abruptly and strode to the table. He grabbed a bottle of mineral water and downed the entire thing in a series of aggressive gulps. He pulled out his phone and scrolled irritably, but he couldn’t process anything; his eyes kept darting back to the two sitting on the floor.
It would have been better if he hadn’t looked. One glance sent a surge of fury straight to his head. Jiang Chengli was teaching Jian Tao guitar hand-over-hand, and Jian Tao was clearly having a great time learning.
Jiang Shi walked up to them. The two, who were enjoying themselves, saw a pair of long legs and looked up to find Jiang Shi’s expressionless face staring down at them.
“Let’s play something,” Jiang Shi said coldly.
The suggestion was immediately met with enthusiasm from the others. “Yes, yes, let’s play a game! We’ve been here for several days and haven’t really played together yet.”
Jian Tao also stood up. Compared to learning the guitar, he was more interested in playing a game. He asked expectantly, “What are we playing?”
As soon as he spoke, Jiang Shi let out a cold snort. “Can’t you use your own brain to think of something?”
Jian Tao was momentarily choked up, his face flushing a faint, angry red. “If you have a brain, why can’t you think of something!”
The atmosphere turned incredibly awkward. Jiang Chengli timely patted the fuming Jian Tao on the shoulder to ease the tension. “Jiang Shi is just impatient. No rush, we can think of something slowly. Hmm, how about hide-and-seek?”
The others immediately agreed, all eager to escape the tense vibe. “I think that’s great! Let’s rule that we can only hide on the first floor.”
“I agree! It feels tense and exciting.”
Just then, Su Wen came downstairs. “What are we playing?”
“Hide-and-seek!”
The first person to be the “seeker” was determined by spinning a wine bottle. Everyone gathered in a circle, and the bottle spun in the center, gradually slowing down until it stopped.
Unluckily, the bottle pointed at Jiang Chengli. The crowd erupted in laughter, and Jiang Shi’s expression softened slightly. He then pulled out a scarf to blindfold Jiang Chengli.
“Take it easy, are you trying to murder me?” Jiang Chengli felt like his eyes were being squeezed out.
Ignoring him, Jiang Shi tied the knot and gave him a rough shove forward. Jiang Chengli stumbled, nearly falling. “Fuck your ancestors, Jiang Shi!”
No one responded. Jiang Chengli began his loud countdown from twenty.
Jian Tao had started looking for a spot the moment the scarf was brought out. It didn’t take long for him to find a hidden gem: a cabinet in the maid’s room on the first floor.
It was a multi-tiered storage cabinet, and the bottom tier was nearly a meter high; it was no problem for a person to sit inside. Since the cabinet was empty, Jian Tao crawled in. He soon realized the only downside: it was a bit narrow. He had to sit sideways, though at least he could stretch his legs.
The countdown outside had reached ten. Jian Tao stayed tucked away peacefully until, a second later, the cabinet door swung open, letting in the light.
Startled, Jian Tao looked up to see Su Wen. The man looked down at him with a smirk. “Young Master, you’ll have to make some room.”
Jian Tao wanted to argue that there was clearly room for another person further down, but fearing the time was almost up and not wanting to bicker, he reluctantly pulled his legs in and hugged them. Su Wen crouched down and entered, and the cabinet door shut again. In the pitch black, Jian Tao could smell the faint scent of sandalwood on Su Wen.
Silence filled the cabinet. Outside, the count had reached “one.” Jian Tao’s heart began to thud nervously. Then, the cabinet door was pulled open once more.
Jian Tao thought he had been caught already, but looking up, he saw a dark-faced Jiang Shi. He seemed to have searched many places, as the hair on his forehead was damp with sweat. His expression was cold, and his voice even colder as he said to Jian Tao, “Move over.”
Su Wen glanced at him. “There’s just enough room for one more person next to me.”
Jiang Shi pressed his lips thin, clearly dissatisfied. Jian Tao, meanwhile, was frantic. He wondered if these two were trying to make each other jealous, like some strange couple’s game. “Hurry up and get in, he’s already started looking!”
Jiang Shi’s chest heaved for a moment before he entered the cabinet. The door closed, plunging them into darkness again, leaving only the sound of their shared breathing.
With a third person, the cabinet became noticeably cramped and sweltering. Jian Tao was pressed tightly against Su Wen, his legs bent uncomfortably. After a moment, he felt Su Wen adjust his position. Su Wen tucked Jian Tao’s legs between his own and knelt down, giving Jian Tao space to move his legs.
Jian Tao immediately felt a bit more relaxed. However, before he could fully adjust, a warm, moist breath hit the sensitive skin behind his ear, making him shiver instantly.
Then, a pair of lips pressed against his earlobe. A magnetic voice whispered, “So tired, and so cramped.”
Jian Tao’s ears began to burn. Those lips continued to roam over his ear and earlobe; it was itchy and hot. His fingers, braced against the bottom of the cabinet, instinctively clawed at the wood.
He knew that for the tall Su Wen, this position was difficult. He had to stay hunched over, or he would hit the top of the cabinet. It was exhausting. Besides, it seemed like Jiang Shi was constantly pushing against him, which was why Su Wen was leaning so heavily onto him. He couldn’t really blame him.
“What are you two whispering about?” Jiang Shi’s voice rang out, not bothered to keep it low, questioning them ill-temperedly.
Jian Tao was suddenly annoyed. Did these two teammates not know that you aren’t supposed to talk during hide-and-seek? “Don’t talk, you’ll give away our position.”
A suppressed chuckle sounded in his ear, the vibration making Jian Tao’s ear go numb. Su Wen took a deep breath of the unique fragrance lingering on Jian Tao’s neck.
Su Wen thought back to when he first opened the cabinet; Jian Tao had looked up at him with such panicked, dazed eyes. In that moment, the fear of being caught was written all over his face; he was deathly cute.
Moreover, did this idiot not realize that the place he chose was the easiest to find? This room was very close to where Jiang Chengli had started his count, and in an enclosed space like this, it would definitely be checked first. Being caught was inevitable.
Just as Jian Tao finished speaking and was staring blankly into the darkness, he suddenly felt a softness on his lips. His brain went blank. Though he couldn’t see anything, he kept his head tilted up.
He felt like that sensation just now was a pair of lips pressing against his. Was it because Jiang Shi pushed him? Did they accidentally kiss?
At that moment, the voice of 250 rang out: “Tao Tao, Su Wen’s progress bar went up!”
Because Su Wen’s progress bar was only missing the last ten percent or so, the threshold had become very high, and there had been no movement for a while. But just now, when Jian Tao felt someone kiss him, the bar actually moved!
Jian Tao was certain now; Su Wen hadn’t done it on purpose. He must be very uncomfortable after kissing him, otherwise, the progress bar wouldn’t have increased.
However, Jian Tao felt a bit wronged. This was his first kiss. Although it was fleeting and he didn’t even know what it felt like, it felt like a loss. That big villain Su Wen got it for free.
While Jian Tao was thinking indignantly, his lips felt a sudden heat again. This time, he felt it clearly: Su Wen was definitely kissing him.
Just as he was completely stunned, Su Wen began to grind against his lips meticulously, even using his tongue to lick them until they were wet. The itchy, tingling sensation made Jian Tao’s heart race.
His fingers scraped wood shavings off the cabinet floor. It took a long time for him to react and try to push Su Wen away. Finally, Su Wen gave his lip a gentle bite before pulling back.
Their breaths mingled, wet and sticky. Jian Tao’s eyes were brimming with moisture, looking as if he were about to be bullied into tears. Just as he was about to scold the man, he heard Su Wen whisper “shhh” in his ear. The hot air sent another shiver through his body.
This snapped him back to reality. They were still playing a game, inside a cabinet, with an oblivious Jiang Shi right there. If Jiang Shi found out, his plot mission might end right then and there.
Tears actually began to fall. Su Wen was playing too dangerously! Was he doing this as revenge against Jiang Shi because of the medicine incident earlier, or because Jiang Shi was crowding him now? These two lunatics; whenever they got jealous, they took it out on him.
Su Wen felt the liquid dripping onto the back of his hand and realized Jian Tao was crying. This did not inspire any pity. Instead, he lifted the other’s chin, licked away the tears at the corner of his eyes, and accurately captured his lips again. These fleshy lips; it felt like he could never kiss them enough.
Jian Tao’s teeth were forced open, his tongue sucked. His body wouldn’t stop trembling, and his tears fell even faster.
Finally, he was kissed until he couldn’t breathe. “No, no more.”
On the other side, Jiang Shi frowned. “What?”
Jian Tao was instantly frightened into silence. His tongue was bitten lightly one last time before he finally escaped. He had to cover for what he just said, so he let his tears fall aggrievedly and whispered, “Stop pushing.”
Jian Tao felt his entire body burning with shame. He didn’t want Su Wen to kiss him anymore, so he buried his face in the crook of Su Wen’s neck to escape reality.
Until the cabinet door was flung open, and Jiang Chengli’s excited voice rang out: “Found you!”
