- Chapter 2 - Good Girl: Does Sister Have a Girlfriend? (2)
Lu Huan had never drunk alcohol before. As a child, she once took a tiny sip of baijiu from her father’s cup, and the burning sensation left a lasting impression that alcohol was unpleasant.
The drink in her hand looked beautiful, a shade of pink, one of her favorite colors. But because it was alcohol, she hesitated and didn’t take a sip.
This wasn’t the outcome An Ke wanted to see. She picked up her glass, took a sip, and glanced at Jiang Wenshu, who was whispering with a woman sporting shoulder-length hair. Smiling, she said, “Xiao Jiang, your girlfriend doesn’t seem to be giving me any face.”
Jiang Wenshu was someone who cared deeply about saving face so much so that she’d even found a same-sex partner she didn’t actually like just to maintain appearances. She had heard about An Ke’s reputation in their circle; many women were drawn to her cool, aloof demeanor.
Hearing An Ke’s remark, Jiang Wenshu immediately turned to Lu Huan, frowning slightly as she asked, “How did you upset Sister An?”
Lu Huan held out the cocktail in her hand, furrowing her brows as she replied, “Wenshu, I don’t drink.”
Jiang Wenshu hadn’t seen An Ke hand the drink to Lu Huan earlier, so she was momentarily taken aback when she saw the cocktail. Quickly recovering, she took the glass from Lu Huan and said to An Ke, “Sister An, how about I drink with you instead?”
An Ke’s expression turned cold, her displeasure evident. “I want her to drink.”
Jiang Wenshu hesitated, then shoved the glass back into Lu Huan’s hand. Gritting her teeth, she coaxed, “Huanhuan, just drink it. This cocktail isn’t strong, it won’t be a big deal.”
“But,” Lu Huan tried to protest, but Jiang Wenshu, worried about further upsetting An Ke, grew impatient and snapped, “No more ‘buts’! Just drink it. If you get drunk, I’ll take you home later.”
Jiang Wenshu assumed Lu Huan’s reluctance stemmed from a fear of getting drunk with no one to look after her. But in her mind, since she was there, along with so many friends, what did it matter who took her home? In Jiang Wenshu’s view, they were all women, what danger could there be in getting drunk? They could even sleep in the same bed without it being an issue.
She had no idea that many eyes in the room were fixed on Lu Huan like a piece of meat, and some even had intentions of taking advantage of her if she passed out.
Lu Huan felt like laughing in frustration, but she maintained her well-behaved, studious demeanor. Realizing that continuous refusal would be impolite, she clenched her teeth, raised the glass, and downed the cocktail in one go.
She drank too quickly and ended up choking, coughing for a while before she could catch her breath.
“You okay, little one?” The woman with long, wavy hair beside her patted her back, chuckling. “Why drink so fast? Just a sip or two would’ve been enough to show respect, no one would’ve been upset.”
If your hand wasn’t groping my back, I might have believed you.
Lu Huan’s face flushed, whether from the alcohol or the woman’s touch, and she shifted closer to Jiang Wenshu, trying to evade the woman’s hand.
Noticing her discomfort, the woman withdrew her hand, smiled, took a sip from her glass, and stood up. “Anyone want to go dance?”
A song was nearing its end, and the next segment was the liveliest part of the night, the main reason most of the lesbians had come.
“Come on, let’s go together.” Although Jiang Wenshu was a straight girl disguised as a lesbian, she was a social butterfly wherever there was excitement, she would be there.
“Huanhuan, you should come along too.” As she spoke, Jiang Wenshu reached out and grabbed her arm, giving her no chance to refuse.
Lu Huan’s resistance meant nothing to Jiang Wenshu. Unable to match her strength, Lu Huan was dragged into the dance floor.
The slow, elegant melody ended, replaced by a series of powerful, rhythmic beats. The entire dance floor erupted with excited shouts.
Lu Huan was jostled by the crowd, struggling to keep her footing. After pulling her into the dance floor, Jiang Wenshu released her hand and started dancing and shouting with her friends.
The booming bass waves swept across the dance floor, stirring Lu Huan’s blood with excitement. But she remembered she had to maintain her good-girl persona, so she stood stiffly in place.
Amid the entire dance floor, she was the only one awkwardly pushed around by the crowd.
In a corner booth sat a few people. Among them was a woman in a sleeveless T-shirt and leather pants who had noticed Lu Huan the moment she entered the bar. Watching the girl like a little lamb entering a pack of wolves, the woman couldn’t help but smirk around the cigarette in her mouth.
Now, seeing the girl being dragged into the dance floor by her companion only to be abandoned, Lou Qing stubbed out her cigarette in the ashtray, stood up, and headed toward the dance floor.
Her friends exchanged puzzled glances, wondering why she, who never danced, suddenly had the urge to join the dance floor.
Someone had pressed up against Lu Huan from behind, their hands wrapped around her waist for quite some time.
With people crowding her from all sides, Lu Huan hadn’t even noticed the hands on her waist until the person behind her blew a soft breath near her ear. Startled, her eyes widened, and she quickly covered her ears as she turned around.
“Heh.” The person behind her let out a pleased chuckle, her greedy gaze seeming to devour Lu Huan. “Little Huanhuan, are you scared?”
It was An Ke! Recognizing her, Lu Huan grew even more frightened and took a step back. Unaware of her surroundings, she accidentally stepped on the foot of someone behind her.
“Damn, you!” The person was about to curse but, upon seeing Lu Huan’s face, their angry expression instantly softened. Smiling, they said, “Hey, cutie, are you here alone? Want to dance with me?”
An Ke, seeing her prey being hit on by someone else, wasn’t angry at all. Instead, she watched Lu Huan’s reaction with amusement.
An Ke was a pervert, and Lu Huan knew it. Though calm inside, she feigned a tearful expression on the surface. “I, I’m with someone! Wenshu, Jiang Wenshu!” she shouted Jiang Wenshu’s name, but in the overpowering music, even talking to someone nearby required raising her voice. How could Jiang Wenshu, who was far away, possibly hear her?
Moreover, due to her upbringing, she couldn’t bring herself to shout too loudly.
This only made An Ke’s eyes gleam brighter. Smiling, she leaned closer and whispered in Lu Huan’s ear, “Are you feeling hot now?”
Lu Huan wanted to avoid her, but there was nowhere to go. Especially as An Ke’s words hung in the air, a wave of heat surged through her body. Her limbs grew weak, and the figures around her began to blur. She closed her eyes and shook her head, feeling dizzy.
Her mind flashed back to her high school homeroom teacher warning the class about the dangers of bars during a class meeting. Then she thought of the pink cocktail she had just drunk, wondering if she had been drugged.
She wanted to find Jiang Wenshu, but when she looked around, there was no sign of her anywhere.
In front of her stood one of Jiang Wenshu’s friends but this was the very person who had brought danger upon her.
She had to escape, to get as far away from this person as possible.
“Get away from me,” Lu Huan’s voice turned soft and pleading, though her face showed a fierce expression. Unbeknownst to her, her eyes were glistening, and her cheeks were flushed. She didn’t look fierce at all, in fact, she looked utterly adorable. An Ke felt a sudden thirst, her throat bobbing as she swallowed.
While she still had some awareness, Lu Huan tried to push her way out. But by now, she had completely lost her sense of direction. She picked a direction at random and shoved her way through the crowd. People squeezed by her turned around, ready to curse, but when they saw Lu Huan’s flushed face as she stumbled past, their anger melted away, captivated instead.
An Ke followed behind like a predator, calm and composed, watching her prey struggle in vain to escape her grasp. She licked her teeth, a smirk curling at the corner of her lips, her expression one of absolute confidence.
Finally breaking free from the dance floor, Lu Huan realized she hadn’t reached the exit but had instead ended up near the restrooms. Glancing back, she saw An Ke closing in. Without hesitation, she dashed toward the restroom.
Bursting inside, she intended to hide in a stall, but she was no match for the sober An Ke. The woman strode over, wrapped her arms around Lu Huan from behind, and whispered delightedly in her ear, “Where are you running off to, little cutie? Hiding in here are you trying to make me eat you up? Don’t worry, I’ll satisfy you.”
Satisfy my ass! Lu Huan cursed inwardly, while on the outside, she sobbed pitifully, “Please let me go, I’m begging you. I just want to go home.”
“Oh~ You want to go home?” An Ke deliberately drew out her words, her tone dripping with innuendo. “How about I let you go after we’re done here?”
Lu Huan struggled, crying and dodging, “Help! Someone, please help me!”
Watching her reaction, An Ke chuckled. “Little cutie, even if you scream your lungs out, no one’s coming to save you.”
With that, she began dragging Lu Huan toward a stall.
Though Lu Huan appeared panicked on the surface, her mind remained eerily calm as she planned how to deal with this woman once they were inside the stall.
In the original story, the protagonist had been dragged into a stall by this trash, An Ke, humiliated, and filmed as blackmail material.
But there was no way Lu Huan would let that happen. If she didn’t beat this woman to a pulp, it wouldn’t be enough to vent her disgust for such scum.
Just as she was being pulled into the stall, the restroom door which An Ke had shut, swung open from the outside, and a woman walked in.
For a split second, Lu Huan almost couldn’t resist whistling at the sight of her, but she remembered she couldn’t break character. Instead, she cried out, “Sister, please save me!”
An Ke hadn’t expected anyone to come in at this moment. When she saw the woman, a dangerous glint flashed in her eyes. She narrowed them warningly and said, “Sis, mind your own business.”
The woman glanced at An Ke, then at the girl sobbing like a helpless kitten, and asked calmly, “Does this need minding?”
Being good-looking with a pleasant voice, Lu Huan was mesmerized for a second before quickly slipping into character. She nodded fearfully and said, “Sister, I don’t know her. She drugged me. Please, save me.”
Upon hearing the word “drugged,” the woman’s expression turned cold, and her voice chilled along with it. She looked at An Ke and said, “If you can’t handle it, don’t go out to play.”
An Ke: “…”
Lu Huan: “…” Pfft.
She never expected this beautiful woman to say something like that, almost making her break character.
An Ke gritted her teeth and warned, “I fucking advise you to leave now. It’s best if you pretend you didn’t see anything, or else.” Her intuition had always been sharp, this woman was not to be trifled with.
“I’m not blind.” The woman in the sleeveless T-shirt stepped forward directly, pulling Lu Huan forcefully from An Ke’s embrace. She looked at An Ke with disdain and said, “Using drugs to take advantage of women? You should just quit and go home.” With that, she prepared to carry Lu Huan away.
Seeing her repeatedly mock her, how could An Ke tolerate it? She took a step forward, reaching out to grab the woman’s shoulder.
But the woman holding Lu Huan seemed to have eyes on the back of her head. She dodged An Ke’s hand and said coldly, “Looking for a fight?”
An Ke snorted coldly, “Today, either leave her behind, or both of you are staying.”
“Can you stand?” the woman asked, looking down at Lu Huan in her arms. At that moment, Lu Huan’s vision was blurry, and her legs were weak, she couldn’t stand at all. But knowing she couldn’t become a burden, she gritted her teeth and nodded firmly.
Lou Qing gave the girl a deep look, helped her sit on a nearby sink counter, and gently patted her head. “Good girl, sit here and watch.” With that, she turned around and started fighting with An Ke.
