The Cold Sister Is Too Flirtatious - Chapter 6
Little Fatty scurried over to Leng Yao, pleading in a low voice. “We couldn’t find anyone else, so we asked Classmate Lin to help out. Junior, please don’t be mad about the male lead being replaced with a female lead.”
Before he could finish, Leng Yao grabbed his hand, her eyes sparkling as she shook it up and down. “Club President, thank you so much! I’ll treat you to all the fries you want from now on!”
Seeing their clasped hands, Lin Tingxue stepped forward and swiftly separated them.
The little rabbit said earlier not to pay attention to men, but she’s probably forgotten already, Lin Tingxue thought, shaking her head inwardly. A forgetful little rabbit.
Older Sister, are you jealous? Leng Yao wondered, misinterpreting the situation. She bounced over to Lin Tingxue and looped her arm through hers.
“I can’t use spiritual energy, or I’ll die,” Lin Tingxue repeatedly warned herself, silently allowing Leng Yao’s touch, which only made the younger girl even happier.
In the monitor, Su Zhizi and Little Fatty watched the screen, marveling at the magical chemistry between the two characters. “They’re even more perfect together than the male lead!” Su Zhizi exclaimed.
“And Classmate Lin looks so handsome in ancient costume!” Little Fatty added.
Lin Tingxue’s waist-length hair was pulled up into a high bun, secured with a jade crown. Her elegant and noble bearing made her resemble an unsheathed, peerless sword.
The two viewers simultaneously sighed, “A natural-born ancient beauty!”
Beneath the willow tree, Lin Tingxue held a long flute, its clear, resonant notes flowing like a spring stream.
To the flute’s melody, Leng Yao swung back and forth on the swing, her girlish laughter ringing like silver bells. The hair ornament in her hair came loose with her movements and fell to the grass.
Lin Tingxue lowered the flute from her lips, bent down to pick up the ornament, and walked over to Leng Yao. She re-pinned it in her hair. “Be careful,” she said.
Leng Yao shook her head, acting coy. “As long as you’re here, I don’t need to worry about anything.”
“Alright.” Lin Tingxue moved behind Leng Yao and began pushing the swing.
The swing soared higher with each push. Beneath the willow tree, the two girls in ancient costumes played together.
“Cut!”
Little Fatty clapped his hands to stop the scene. He had originally planned to add voice-over in post-production, but he hadn’t realized Lin Tingxue could play the flute. The scene was breathtakingly beautiful. Though the script called for a doting smile, its absence hardly mattered; the scene was already perfect.
“Thanks for your hard work! We’ll pack up the equipment and head out.”
A gentle breeze carried white willow catkins across Leng Yao’s face, tickling her skin. Amused, she chased after the floating fluff.
Lin Tingxue turned to watch Leng Yao, a tender smile unconsciously softening her gaze.
Such a playful little bunny.
Attack, Little Potato!: Junior, I stayed up all night editing the video. Classmate Lin rejected my WeChat request, so I’m sending it to you first. Can you forward it to her?

Yaoyao Jelly: Got it, Club President!
The campus network was running smoothly that night, and Leng Yao quickly received the video.
The first part was identical to what they had filmed earlier that day, with Leng Yao exclaiming throughout, “Older Sister, you’re so amazing! You can do everything!”
But when the scene of Lin Tingxue pushing the swing came on, the progress bar hadn’t reached the end. After watching the entire video, Leng Yao rolled around on her bed in delight.
So, when I was chasing the willow catkins, Older Sister was watching me and smiling!
Everyone had assumed filming was over, including Little Fatty, the cameraman. It wasn’t until editing that he realized the camera hadn’t been turned off.
In this “off-camera” moment, Lin Tingxue finally relaxed completely, her smile genuine and heartfelt. The scene was too beautiful to discard, so Little Fatty kept it in despite it not being in the script.
Lin Tingxue emerged from her shower to find Leng Yao rolling around on the floor, clutching her phone.
“What’s on that roast chicken that’s making you so happy?”
Leng Yao scrambled to her feet, shaking her head. Her older sister was a stickler for rules; if the Club President had filmed anything outside the script, she’d definitely make him delete it. No way! Absolutely not!
She quickly changed the subject. “Older Sister, how are you feeling today? Was class interesting?”
“It’s even more boring than cultivation. Will all the classes be like this?”
Even the lowest-ranked inner disciple of the Cloud Vault Sect wielded a sword better than that scrawny kid lecturing at the podium. Lin Tingxue couldn’t understand why she was wasting her time observing such things.
Teacher Murong’s swordsmanship class was already a popular elective at Shanwen University, and it should have aligned with her older sister’s identity as a sword cultivator. If even this class failed to capture her interest, Leng Yao couldn’t imagine what other courses would.
If her older sister didn’t study diligently, she’d fail her courses and wouldn’t graduate. Leng Yao absolutely refused to let her idol fail to graduate.
Starting tomorrow, she’d attend classes with her older sister whenever possible. They’d study third-year material together, and she’d tutor her older sister diligently!
Lin Tingxue watched the suddenly fired-up little rabbit beside her, wondering what was going through her mind.
The next day in class, Leng Yao had mentally prepared herself for the difficulty of third-year courses, but why did they have to start with Financial Risk Management, the class with the highest failure rate?!
She slumped over her desk, not wanting to speak. Without lifting her head, she glanced sideways at Lin Tingxue.
Of course, she thought. Older Sister is already taking advantage of sitting next to me to close her eyes and meditate. I can’t rely on her to study properly at all!
Today, Leng Yao, I’ll study until I drop! I’ll give it my all!
Leng Yao pulled out her notebook and listened intently to the lecture, her pen pausing and scribbling as she filled a page.
“You, the sleeping student, come up and solve this problem.”
Throughout the entire class, the finance teacher had noticed a girl paying particular attention, her eyes fixed on him.
In all his years of teaching, he had never encountered a student so focused. Though students often called him “Mr. Yawn,” this small girl’s dedication gave him renewed confidence.
*******
Meanwhile, the girl next to her had the audacity to close her eyes and sleep openly, showing utter disrespect for her elders!
Leng Yao was about to yawn when the Finance Teacher suddenly called on Lin Tingxue, startling her awake.
What should I do? My older sister hasn’t been paying any attention at all!
She quickly raised her hand. “Teacher, I know how to solve this problem. I’d like to come up and demonstrate.”
The Finance Teacher nodded approvingly. “Very well, come to the board.”
Leng Yao walked to the blackboard, nervously gripping the chalk. She wrote: P(X > 1) = $
Under the Finance Teacher’s encouraging gaze, she bowed apologetically. “I’m sorry, Teacher, I’ve forgotten how to solve it.”
The truth was, the Finance Teacher’s lecture had been so mind-numbingly boring that, despite her feigned attentiveness, not a single word had registered. She’d been planning to review her notes later, hoping to catch up, when this interruption occurred.
Though the petite student hadn’t solved the problem, perhaps it was simply too difficult. It wasn’t her fault.
The Finance Teacher generously declared, “That’s alright. What’s your name, student? You’ll be responsible for coordinating group messages from now on. I’ll add ten points to your final grade.”
“Leng Yao.”
“Leng Yao?” The Finance Teacher flipped through the class roster, searching for her name to mark it with a star, but couldn’t find it. “Look for your name yourself.”
“Um, Teacher,” Leng Yao said with an embarrassed smile, “could you add those extra points a year from now? I’m actually a sophomore.”
Hearing this, the Finance Teacher grew visibly excited, his small eyes widening. “See, everyone? My lectures are still excellent! Even second-year students want to attend early.”
“You, the girl who was sleeping with your eyes closed—what year are you in?”
Lin Tingxue had finished her cultivation and opened her eyes to see Leng Yao standing at the podium, holding up two fingers at her.
She recognized the gesture; she’d seen it on a roast chicken menu while trying to blend into this world.
Huh?
It seemed the little rabbit wanted her to answer the question herself. “Third year,” Lin Tingxue replied.
Oh no, oh no, oh no! Leng Yao’s confidence instantly deflated.
As expected, the Finance Teacher posed an even harder question. “As a third-year senior, you should set a good example for the second-year juniors. Come up and solve this problem.”
Lin Tingxue approached the blackboard, unfamiliar with chalk. She held it, examining it curiously.
The Finance Teacher, assuming she was deliberately stalling, was about to demand her name and deduct points.
But then she suddenly began writing. Even her handwriting flowed with the effortless grace of a sword dance.
She seemed to glance at the problem once, and the solution materialized beneath it.
A blackboard filled with calculations—and every single step was correct! Moreover, she had used three different methods, even one the teacher himself hadn’t considered.
Leng Yao couldn’t understand the solution and anxiously asked, “Teacher, is her answer correct?”
The Finance Teacher replied with difficulty, “It’s completely correct. Go back to your seat. Don’t sleep in class again.”
Relieved to be let off the hook, Leng Yao quickly thanked the teacher and pulled Lin Tingxue back to their seats.
For the rest of the class, the Finance Teacher kept glancing at Lin Tingxue with a strange expression, wondering how she could possibly learn while sleeping.
That night, a desk lamp illuminated Leng Yao as she hunched over her books, studying diligently.
After the previous incident with the takeout order, Leng Yao was convinced that her older sister had used her divine sense to read the answers from the teacher’s lesson plan.
Determined not to slack off, she thought that if she learned more herself, she could teach Lin Tingxue even more.
But she had forgotten that Lin Tingxue, as the most gifted cultivator in the Cultivation World, could multitask even while cultivating. Not only had she mastered the basic Arabic numerals, but she could also solve problems with astonishing creativity.
Lin Tingxue sat beside Leng Yao, watching the busy little rabbit furiously scribbling away. The two buns on her head bobbed with each movement, secured with Star Kirby hair ties.
The little rabbit seemed to really like them. Could there be some kind of Fox Clan enchantment on these pink puffs?
Lin Tingxue’s expression grew colder as she reached out to touch the hair tie.
Leng Yao, mistaking the touch for Lin Tingxue caressing her hair, felt her heart race. “Older Sister…”
Lin Tingxue’s slender, jointed fingers brushed against Leng Yao’s neck, a vulnerable spot that made her hold her breath.
The hair tie showed no anomalies, nor did the pink ball on the necklace. But Leng Yao remembered one more place: the rabbit’s undergarments.
The hand continued downward, settling on Leng Yao’s waist, yet it didn’t stop there. Leng Yao’s face flushed crimson.
Clutching her skirt, she protested, “Older Sister, it’s too fast! I’m not ready yet!”
The touch withdrew instantly. Lin Tingxue was surprised; there was no trace of Fox Clan enchantment.
Noticing the sudden withdrawal, Leng Yao bit her lip in frustration. “Actually, Older Sister, I could accept it even if it’s this fast.”
Lin Tingxue voiced her confusion, “If you’re not under the Fox Clan’s enchantment, why do you still like this pink ball?”
Hearing Lin Tingxue’s words, Leng Yao realized she had misunderstood her. A pang of bitterness struck her heart.
The pink ball… she means Star Kirby? So she wasn’t touching me because she liked me.
“I like it because I like it,” Leng Yao replied.
Lin Tingxue remained firm in her view, stating coolly, “There should be a reason for liking something.”
For example, she loved cultivating because it gave her the power to protect the entire Cultivation World.
Leng Yao shook her head, her gaze fixed on Lin Tingxue. Under the lamp’s glow, the light in her eyes grew even brighter.
“But liking Older Sister is just liking Older Sister. There’s no reason for it.”
