The Cold Sister Is Too Flirtatious - Chapter 28
“Mm.”
The response was so soft that Leng Yao almost thought she was imagining it. But the next moment, she found herself being pulled under the covers. The mattress dipped slightly beside her, and the scent of her older sister filled her senses.
Overjoyed, Leng Yao wrapped her arms around the person beside her, nuzzling like a little rabbit. “Good night, Older Sister!”
“Good night.”
That night, Leng Yao dreamed of eating jelly—a jiggly, bouncy treat. Even in her dream, she could taste its sweetness. She had never tasted jelly so delicious before, so she instinctively wanted to bring some back for her older sister.
The jelly emitted an alluring aroma, its pale, translucent pink hue adorned with a bright red cherry on top. In her dream, Leng Yao could only think in the simplest terms, muttering to herself, “Older Sister, I’ll just lick it a little. I won’t eat too much.”
Lin Tingxue’s cultivation was interrupted. She opened her eyes to find her restless Little Rabbit pressing her lips against her own, seemingly still lost in dreamland.
At first, Leng Yao was well-behaved, merely pressing her lips together without further movement. But soon, she grew bolder, her tongue lightly licking Lin Tingxue’s lips.
Su Zhizi had mentioned that they could do other things off-camera.
Lin Tingxue parted her lips slightly. Leng Yao, absorbed in her licking, didn’t notice, and her tongue slipped effortlessly into Lin Tingxue’s mouth.
This jelly had a core—even softer and smoother than the outer layer—and Leng Yao’s tongue sank into it. It was such a strange sensation. A faint blush crept across Leng Yao’s cheeks as she struggled to understand why, even though she wasn’t eating the jelly anymore, it was now completely enveloping her tongue, fitting snugly around it.
It felt as if the jelly were actively consuming itself.
The movements in her mouth were rather vigorous. Half-asleep and disoriented, Leng Yao saw the jelly transform into Lin Tingxue’s face.
Leng Yao smiled, mumbling “Older Sister,” convinced she was having a vivid dream.
But her murmur roused Zeng Zhile in the next bed. Squinting through half-closed eyes, Zeng Zhile peered toward Leng Yao. “Xiao Yao, what did you say?”
Barely able to make out the lump under the covers in the moonlight, she muttered, “Still sleeping with the covers over her head, even at her age.”
Overcome by drowsiness, Zeng Zhile drifted back to sleep.
Beneath the covers, Lin Tingxue turned her head, silently watching Leng Yao. Her night vision allowed her to see clearly in the darkness. Leng Yao slept peacefully, her face serene, save for her slightly swollen lips.
The soft blankets formed a snug, secure space, and a faint peach scent emanated from the Little Rabbit.
Now that Xue and Xiao Bei were gone, everything depended on her. If the Little Rabbit hadn’t been dreaming and accidentally kissed her, she would never have found a reason to be intimate with her.
Oh, well.
But how could Lin Tingxue truly win the little rabbit’s heart? This question proved too difficult for her, a cultivator who knew only cultivation. She could only clumsily piece together the information she had gathered and slowly approach Leng Yao.
According to Zhaoxue and Xiao Bei, the little rabbit had been craving her body all along.
Lin Tingxue lowered her gaze and carefully unbuttoned one of her buttons. Perhaps she should use this to her advantage.
Leng Yao had slept soundly through the night. Her eyelashes fluttered slightly as she opened her eyes to see her older sister’s peaceful sleeping face.
She couldn’t resist tracing the delicate features with her eyes: the thick, feathery lashes, the high, straight nose, and the soft, pink lips. They reminded her of the pale pink jelly from her dream, the same color as her sister’s lips.
Looking lower, Leng Yao noticed that her sister had unbuttoned her shirt in her sleep, likely due to the warmth of sharing a bed. A wide expanse of snow-white skin and delicate collarbones were exposed. Then Leng Yao saw her sister’s brow furrow slightly, still feeling warm, as her hand unconsciously tugged at the neckline.
Gulp.
Leng Yao swallowed hard. No, Older Sister is too tempting in her sleep. Good thing she’s always cultivating; otherwise, I’d lose my mind.
Forcing her gaze away, Leng Yao stole a quick kiss on Lin Tingxue’s cheek and carefully tucked the blanket back around her. She rose quietly and went to wash up with a smile.
Feeling the lingering softness on her cheek, Lin Tingxue smiled faintly.
Using my body to win her affection seems to work wonders on the little bunny.
Leng Yao pushed open the practice room door, which automatically swung open.
“Captain Yaoyao, good morning!”
Noticing the empty room, Leng Yao was surprised. Yue had left early, after all. “Good morning~ Is it just the two of us? Where is everyone else?”
Wu Chuxia nodded. “Yue was called away to film a commercial, and the other two probably haven’t woken up yet. They’ll be here soon. Captain Yaoyao, should I go wake them?”
“No need,” Leng Yao said, strapping sandbags to her legs. “Yesterday was their first day; they might have overdone it with the training intensity. We should ease them in gradually. Let them sleep a bit longer. Chuxia, want to join me for weighted training?”
“Sure, Captain Yaoyao!”
Wu Chuxia wasn’t one for hardship. She’d joined the program mainly because they offered free meals, accommodation, and a basic salary of 5,000 yuan per month. So she grabbed the lightest sandbags—1 kilogram each—and joined Leng Yao in high-knee exercises.
Thirty repetitions per set, and Leng Yao completed five sets. Sweat dripped into her eyes, blurring her vision.
Leng Yao paused, reaching for a towel, but someone handed her one.
Her heart leaped, thinking it was Lin Tingxue.
“Captain Yaoyao, wipe your sweat,” Wu Chuxia said softly. “I made extra breakfast and brought you some too.”
“Thank you,” Leng Yao replied, accepting the insulated container. Steam still rose from inside. “Chuxia, you’re so talented in the kitchen. Anyone who ends up with you will be the luckiest person alive. It’s perfect timing—I skipped breakfast and was planning to cook for everyone later. Looks like I’m getting to enjoy your cooking first.”
Settling onto the sofa, Leng Yao took a sip of the century egg and lean meat congee, her expression twisting strangely. The congee looked so appetizing, yet it tasted both sweet and salty.
“What’s wrong? Don’t you like it?” Wu Chuxia asked anxiously, watching her intently. She couldn’t quite gauge the flavor herself, but it seemed decent enough.
“It’s delicious, thank you, Chuxia,” Leng Yao managed, forcing herself to swallow. She couldn’t refuse the other girl’s kindness. Still, if Chuxia had made extra, she must have tried it herself. Why did her expression seem like she didn’t know how it tasted?
“Xiao Yao, what delicious thing are you eating? Let me have a taste!”
Zeng Zhile, still in her advertising makeup, rushed into the practice room after her shoot. She grabbed an extra spoon from the table, took a bite of the porridge, and beamed. “This porridge is delicious! I’m going to wash my face.”
Seeing Zeng Zhile’s reaction, Leng Yao wondered if her own taste buds were malfunctioning. Why does everyone else think this tastes good?
In the restroom, Zeng Zhile turned on the faucet and gulped down water. “Xiao Yao’s taste is so weird. How can she like something so awful? Good thing I’ve been in front of cameras for years—I managed to keep a straight face.”
Leng Yao glanced at the clock. It was already 8:30 PM. With all the members present, the dance instructor began choreographing their positions.
Zeng Zhile had experience from her previous group, and the other two members were skilled dancers. Only Wu Chuxia lacked extensive training and experience with group formations. The song “Colorful Black” required frequent transitions, causing her to constantly bump into her teammates.
Though the others didn’t mind, Wu Chuxia kept apologizing profusely.
Leng Yao tried to help with the positioning. “Chuxia, first watch my hand gestures in the mirror. Once you’re comfortable, slowly try the movements on your own. Don’t worry, it’s only our second day. There’s no rush. Just relax.”
Leng Yao joked, trying to ease Wu Chuxia’s nerves. “Besides, look at me—I stumbled through the steps so many times before I barely got it right. Don’t be too hard on me later, okay? I just wanted to spend more time with my dear teammates.”
Wu Chuxia was deeply grateful. Her teammates were all so skilled, and she didn’t want to hold them back. But the more she worried, the more anxious she became. Leng Yao’s reassurance had helped immensely.
“Thank you, Captain Yaoyao. I’ll keep practicing hard.”
Before they knew it, it was midnight. The three teammates went to grab dinner. Leng Yao patted Wu Chuxia on the shoulder. “Chuxia, let’s practice again later. Go eat first. You’ve improved so much already. Last time, I didn’t even give the hand signals, and you didn’t make a single mistake—amazing! Come on, let’s head to the cafeteria together.”
But Wu Chuxia pulled out a new thermos from the cabinet, her cheeks flushing slightly as she avoided Leng Yao’s gaze. “Um, Captain Yaoyao, I know you like congee in the morning, so I made some for you during my break.”
Leng Yao’s internal alarms blared as Wu Chuxia handed her the insulated lunchbox. The other woman’s behavior was simply too strange. This morning, one could have excused it as making too much food, but this midday meal was clearly prepared specifically for her. Throughout the morning, Wu Chuxia had been constantly attentive, offering her water, towels, and snacks.
Leng Yao didn’t believe she possessed such irresistible charm that someone who had only known her for a day would become so devoted. Yet, she couldn’t find any other explanation for Wu Chuxia’s actions and expressions.
Pulling Wu Chuxia into a deserted corner, Leng Yao switched off her microphone and spoke earnestly, “Chuxia, why are you doing all this for me today? Do you… like me? I’m very grateful, but the only person I love is my older sister.”
“No, no, it’s not like that! Sister Tingxue asked me to do this.”
Older sister?
Completely taken aback by this answer, Leng Yao pressed, “Chuxia, how do you know my older sister?”
Afraid she might have jeopardized their relationship, Wu Chuxia quickly explained, “When I registered, a staff member tricked me into going to the warehouse and tried to force himself on me. He even had his eyes on you, Captain Yaoyao. Sister Tingxue rescued me. I’m so grateful to her, but she only asked me to do one thing: take care of you at all times.”
“Then why did you blush and avoid looking at me when you brought me the congee last night?”
“Sister Tingxue made today’s congee, not me at all. I was afraid of failing her task and worried you’d see through my act.”
It was all a misunderstanding, and the truth behind it delighted Leng Yao.
Since her older sister had secretly asked Chuxia to care for her, Leng Yao could do the same. Feeling a pang of guilt for involving the honest girl, Leng Yao smiled sweetly, her expression utterly harmless. “Chuxia, could you do me a favor?”
“Captain Yaoyao, just say the word!” Wu Chuxia’s face lit up with excitement. With her limited education, she’d struggled to find work outside and had only come here to make a living. She’d initially planned to leave after earning a month’s wages, but now she’d made friends and found a purpose. This made her feel needed, unlike how her parents had always resented her for being a girl.
With Wu Chuxia’s cooperation, things would be much easier. “Chuxia, remember this: I’ve never discovered your secret. I need you to feed false information to my older sister.”
Leng Yao already suspected Lin Tingxue might harbor some affection for her, but that wasn’t enough.
She needed to throw another log on the fire—she wanted to make her older sister jealous!
“Ah!” Wu Chuxia gasped, unable to process the request. “Captain Yaoyao, you want me to be a double agent?”
The honest girl blurted out, “But Sister Tingxue saved me. I should be on her side. This involves Sister Tingxue, so I can’t help.”
“Exactly, come here, I’ll explain everything,” Leng Yao said with a smile, whispering the plan. “Chuxia, I know Older Sister helped you. But trust me, this is the only way for her to truly understand her feelings. Helping me is actually helping her.”
“Okay! As long as it makes you two happy, I’ll do anything!”
Wu Chuxia had never been in love, so she simply followed instructions, unable to analyze the situation. If someone more experienced had been in her place, they might have shaken Leng Yao awake: She’s already asked me to take care of you constantly and even came to the show with you. Isn’t that love?
Unfortunately, the group were all love novices, unable to help each other.
Wu Chuxia went to find Lin Tingxue alone and repeated Leng Yao’s words: “Sister Tingxue, I saw Captain Yaoyao laughing and chatting with Yue today. They seemed really happy. They even went out together, looking very close.”
A pang of disappointment struck Lin Tingxue’s heart. So, the Little Rabbit doesn’t like my body anymore? She prefers someone else’s now?
Or perhaps she should be bolder, like in a yuri manga.
