The Cold Sister Is Too Flirtatious - Chapter 10
Teacher Murong struggled to maintain his composure. “Alright, tell me, where is your essay?”
Lin Tingxue produced her notebook. Teacher Murong intended to quickly flip through it, just to get a general idea.
But when he turned to the second page, he found it completely blank. After checking repeatedly, he confirmed he wasn’t mistaken. “This is your essay?“
Lin Tingxue nodded matter-of-factly. “If you’d like to learn, I can point out the flaws in Chinese Sword Techniques Deconstructed.“
At least she was honest, and her swordsmanship was undeniable. Though her words might seem a bit presumptuous for a student, Teacher Murong ultimately agreed.
Lin Tingxue opened the book to the first page and pointed to the opening sentence. “The error starts here. Thrusting requires a level blade and relies primarily on the arm, not just wrist strength as the text suggests. The wrist is weak; when thrusting too forcefully, it’s easy to lose control of the direction. And…”
Teacher Murong listened intently, growing more absorbed with each word. It seemed that every interaction with Lin Tingxue brought him new insights into swordsmanship.
Each of Lin Tingxue’s corrections was precise and insightful. Teacher Murong regretted not meeting a student like her sooner. He immediately awarded Lin Tingxue’s paper full marks, dismissed class early, and retreated to contemplate her insights.
Bai Chacha, unwilling to accept this, sashayed over to Lin Tingxue’s side. She was determined to see what this so-called full-mark paper was all about.
The moment Bai Chacha stopped crying, the Speech-Sealing Art lifted.
Her pupils constricted, and Bai Chacha sneered, “Everyone, come take a look! This so-called perfect essay is only three sentences long. I bet this student has something going on with Teacher Murong.”
“Something going on? You look more like a snake spirit—you don’t even have legs!” Leng Yao stormed in, cursing. Still worried about Lin Tingxue attending class alone, she had rushed up from the first floor during the break to check on her.
She never expected to witness this scene—spreading such vile rumors about her older sister. It was truly sickening.
Bai Chacha, wearing a figure-hugging snakeskin dress that accentuated her serpentine movements, did resemble a snake. Her beautiful face twisted with malice as she glared at the detested country bumpkin. Why does this ghost keep haunting me?
“Then tell me,” Bai Chacha demanded, “why does she deserve a perfect score for such a pathetic essay?”
Lin Tingxue replied calmly, “Because of her swordsmanship.“
In the Cultivation World, Lin Tingxue was renowned as the Sect Leader of the foremost swordsmanship sect. Countless cultivators clamored to become her disciples, believing that a single lesson from her would make their lives complete.
If those cultivators knew how easily Teacher Murong had obtained Lin Tingxue’s guidance, they would likely be consumed by envy, jealousy, and resentment.
Bai Chacha rolled her eyes. “Hmph, Teacher Murong is the president of the China Swordsmanship Association. What chance do you stand against him?”
A wooden ruler lay on the lectern, left behind by the architecture teacher from the previous class.
Lin Tingxue picked up the ruler and began to wield it with effortless grace, aiming a strike at Bai Chacha’s face.
Bai Chacha felt death looming and collapsed to the floor, gasping for breath. The ruler stopped an inch from her face, but the sword wind sliced off a lock of her long hair.
It was just a wooden ruler, not even a proper sword.
Lin Tingxue calmly withdrew her stance, placed the ruler back on the lectern, and left with a parting shot: “Those with impure intentions will find no foothold here. Refrain from spreading rumors about men and women in the future.“
She quietly led the dazed little rabbit beside her away, remembering the girl still had another class to attend.
Leng Yao remained frozen for a long moment, struggling to process what she had just witnessed.
Older Sister is so cool! And she really put that rumor-monger in her place. Leng Yao hated such gossip. Whether the victim was male or female, they always faced public condemnation, even when they had done nothing wrong.
Lin Tingxue extended her index finger and pressed it against the other girl’s forehead, forcing the wide-eyed little rabbit to focus on the blackboard.
“Pay attention to the lesson.“
“Yes, Older Sister!”
The afternoon was originally scheduled for university physical education, but Little Fatty had requested permission from the gym teacher for the two of them to rehearse their performance.
Little Fatty’s Revenge: So many rehearsals lately, I can’t help out with yours. Sorry!
Little Fatty’s Revenge: 🙏
Yaoyao Jelly: It’s okay, Club President. You don’t need to come even after you’re done. My sister and I will handle it.
Just the two of us rehearsing alone with Older Sister? This is perfect!
Little Fatty felt a pang of guilt on the other end of the screen. My junior is so understanding! I’ll make sure their performance is the grand finale and film it in 360 degrees.
Little Fatty’s Revenge: Junior, I’ve sent you the video. Just practice along with it.
With so many videos on his phone, Little Fatty remembered it was the first one in his favorites and sent it over. The network was slow, and the video was still buffering, showing no image. Su Zhizi called out to the Club President, and Little Fatty quickly closed his phone and went to help.
Leng Yao stared intently at the progress bar, watching it inch forward. She couldn’t believe she was about to dance this with her older sister.
It wasn’t the dance’s sensuality that bothered her, but its overwhelming intimacy. Every detail in the video, from the way the dancers moved to their lingering glances, radiated a tangled, unspoken affection.
Leng Yao showed the video to Lin Tingxue. Since Lin Tingxue was much taller, they decided she would take the male lead’s steps, while Leng Yao would dance the female lead’s part.
After watching the entire performance, Leng Yao nervously glanced at Lin Tingxue, worried she wouldn’t approve. If she doesn’t like it, how am I going to sneak kisses from Older Sister during rehearsals?
Lin Tingxue frowned, pointing to the final scene on the screen.
Oh no, Older Sister really doesn’t like it. I guess it’s too suggestive for someone from the Cultivation World.
“How can a man and woman be so close? Passing flowers with their mouths… that’s inappropriate,” Lin Tingxue said.
A flicker of disappointment crossed Leng Yao’s eyes. This was her favorite part. She quickly regained her composure. “Older Sister, if you don’t like it, we’ll change it. It won’t affect the rest of the dance.”
“Very well.”
With their adjustments agreed upon, they began rehearsing.
Lin Tingxue possessed an extraordinary talent for everything she attempted. After watching the dance video just once, she had completely mastered the steps. Her expression remained serene and detached, like a Guanyin statue, but her movements were flawless.
Leng Yao, who had been dancing since childhood, found learning the choreography effortless.
But…
Leng Yao accidentally turned too sharply and stumbled into Lin Tingxue’s arms.
Her hand landed in the wrong place, settling on Lin Tingxue’s waist instead of her shoulder.
She took a wrong step, moving forward instead of backward, drawing even closer to Lin Tingxue.
Suddenly, Lin Tingxue asked, “You know this dance. Why are you deliberately messing up?“
Lin Tingxue recognized at once that Leng Yao had completely mastered the dance, seeing the similarities between swordplay and dance.
“O-Older Sister…” Leng Yao stammered, her face flushed with shame. So she noticed after all… Will she despise me now?
“If you want to touch me, just do it.” Lin Tingxue took Leng Yao’s hand and placed it on her own waist. She had realized that every mistake the little rabbit made was just an excuse to get closer. It seemed to make her heart flutter with joy.
Lin Tingxue hated being manipulated, but she didn’t mind Leng Yao’s tactics so much. She just wished the girl would be more direct.
Older Sister’s waist is so slender, Leng Yao thought, her fingers tracing the subtle muscle definition beneath the fabric, a testament to years of sword training.
Hesitantly, she reached out again. “Older Sister, can I touch your face?“
Lin Tingxue closed her eyes in silent consent.
Leng Yao’s fingertips brushed lightly from her eyebrows to her eyes. Her lashes are so long, she thought, feeling them flutter like butterfly wings against her palm, sending shivers of ticklish delight through her.
Her fingers drifted lower, to Lin Tingxue’s lips. They weren’t a vibrant red, but a soft, pale pink. Leng Yao knew from experience how wonderfully soft they felt to kiss.
As if possessed, Leng Yao tiptoed closer to Lin Tingxue.
Suddenly, Lin Tingxue’s eyes snapped open, her gaze questioning.
Leng Yao recoiled, clutching her wildly beating heart. “Older Sister, that’s all for today’s rehearsal. I’ll go get you some water.“
With that, she fled outside.
Lin Tingxue watched the little rabbit scurry away, a thoughtful expression on her face, the lingering warmth of Leng Yao’s touch still on her cheek.
Should I have waited a bit longer to open my eyes? Let this little rabbit have her wish?
Leng Yao bought two ice-cold drinks from the vending machine, bending down to retrieve a peach-flavored soda and a bottle of AD Calcium Milk.
Pressing the chilled bottles against her cheeks, she barely managed to cool her flushed face.
Honestly, I’m such a fool. Still captivated by Older Sister’s beauty. At the amusement park, it was one thing when Older Sister, unaware, kissed me first. But for me to boldly kiss her back? That’s another matter entirely.
I forgot she’s the foremost figure in the Cultivation World. If she were to get angry, my life would be forfeit.
Lost in thought, Leng Yao walked back to the rehearsal room.
During this brief break, Lin Tingxue had already retreated to a corner to meditate.
Accustomed to this, Leng Yao sat beside her, popped open the peach soda, and gulped it down.
The fizzy carbon dioxide danced wildly in Leng Yao’s mouth as the icy liquid slid down her throat, chilling her to the core.
Leng Yao closed her eyes in contentment. Summer truly called for ice-cold soda.
Over the past few days, Leng Yao had learned to recognize when Lin Tingxue was in a meditative state. As soon as Lin Tingxue finished, Leng Yao eagerly jammed a straw into the AD Calcium drink and pressed it into her older sister’s hand.
“Here, Older Sister, your favorite sweet drink.”
Lin Tingxue took a sip, and Leng Yao immediately asked, “Is it good?”
Sweet and tangy with a hint of milk, Lin Tingxue nodded.
“Then try this one too, Older Sister. It’s also sweet.” Leng Yao grinned mischievously as she twisted open the peach-flavored soda and handed it over. The fizz inside was so intense, it was sure to startle her sister.
Lin Tingxue accepted the bottle. Unlike the AD Calcium drink, this one was transparent, allowing her to see the pink liquid inside. The color was identical to Berry Berry Double Love, so Lin Tingxue took a sip without suspicion.
The next instant, two fingers struck Leng Yao’s back, forcing her to spit out the soda she had just swallowed.
Lin Tingxue’s expression turned grave. “This sweet drink is poisonous.“
“Cough, cough, cough!” Leng Yao choked, realizing Lin Tingxue had been startled by the bubbles. “Older Sister, why didn’t you spit it out?”
“My cultivation is profound,” Lin Tingxue said calmly. “No poison in this world can harm me.“
Leng Yao inwardly wept, still struggling to cough up water, while Lin Tingxue remained composed, her expression serene.
Trying to steal a chicken and losing the rice instead, Leng Yao thought bitterly.
“Older Sister,” Leng Yao explained, “this is a different kind of sweet water. The fizz is naturally occurring, meant to make it more refreshing.”
“Like the peach blossom wine from that snowy night?”
“Exactly! If you liked it, I’ll prepare some for you next time.”
“Very well.”
