Sang Biao, the fiercest cat demon of Qintan Mountain, had one simple life goal: to achieve immortality and ascend to the heavens. However, a stray bolt of lightning during his Tribulation shattered his dreams of godhood. Instead of ascending, he somehow ended up sold to the wealthy Lin family as a “good luck charm” bride to save their sickly young master!
At first, Sang Biao was outraged. A grand demon serving as a human’s medicinal bride? How… how humiliating! That is, until he saw the young master. Wait, he’s actually this handsome? Well… I suppose I can make an exception.
But the “weak and sickly” young master, who seems cold, distant, and never goes a day without his medicine, has a side to him that no one knows. Sang Biao slowly realizes he’s fallen straight into a trap.
The man who was supposed to be noble and self-restrained suddenly opens his arms after a few drinks. With eyes rimmed red, he commands Sang Biao: “Give me a hug.”
The man who looks like a frosty, fragile beauty will tuck himself into Sang Biao’s arms after making him angry, whispering pitifully: “I’ll let you bite me. Just don’t ignore me.”
Eventually, when Sang Biao’s “heat cycle” becomes too much to handle and he tries to make a run for it, the young master grabs him by the tail and hauls him back. With a darkened expression, he strokes the tip of the cat’s tail and demands coldly: “You were betrothed to me from the start.” “Looking like this… exactly which stray cat are you planning to go see?”
Sang Biao struggles to get the words out: “I have barbs (on my tongue)!” The young master’s eyes flicker as he grits his teeth: “Bring it on!”
When demon hunters emerge to lay siege, the young master is mortally wounded protecting him. Facing a hopeless end, Sang Biao carries him to the Ninth Heaven, defying the laws of the universe. He is willing to sacrifice his very immortal bones to trade for the man’s life.
As the person in his arms feebly shakes his head in refusal, Sang Biao grips his neck, his eyes a crimson red as he threatens: “You must live…”
