Lin Yulan stared at her for a while, momentarily at a loss for words. If Qu Mengxin had returned a little earlier before she knew Jiang Xue had feelings for her, or even earlier than that, she would have answered Qu Mengxin without hesitation: “As long as you come back, the place in my heart will always belong to you.”

But now, she was too disappointed in Qu Mengxin. The rose-tinted glasses of the past had unknowingly faded away. She was no longer that lovesick college student who acted recklessly without a second thought.

“No need!” Lin Yulan rejected Qu Mengxin without a second thought, hastily fabricating a string of lies. “My partner is quite shy and has some social anxiety.
