The Aloof Little Puppy Is Super Obedient - Chapter 3
Years ago, when he looked at Chu Jingtian, he saw his entire world. He had even thought about giving up his studies abroad just to stay in the country with him. He never expected to receive the news of Chu Jingtian’s marriage. At that time, the news had left him utterly heartbroken. But it was Chu Jingtian’s choice, and as a younger brother, he had no right to interfere.
Now that he was back in the country and hearing this news, Su Jingyang’s lips thinned into a tight line. Since that man failed to hold Chu Jingtian’s hand tightly, he wouldn’t be polite about pulling Chu Jingtian into his own embrace. Years ago, he had lost because of his age, but this time, he was determined to seize Chu Jingtian’s heart.
He slowly moved Chu Jingtian to the side and steadied his own nerves. His desire for Chu Jingtian was more than just a little. Once he made Chu Jingtian his own, he would keep him closely by his side, making sure he belonged to him and him alone.
The sleeping Chu Jingtian had no idea what the future held; he only continued to weep. Watching him cry, Su Jingyang realized he didn’t know where Chu Jingtian lived, so he drove straight to his own villa. His grip on the steering wheel tightened. He had to grasp this opportunity and make Chu Jingtian his own.
Su Jingyang drove quickly to a luxurious residential area where every villa came with a private pool. He pulled into a villa located toward the back of the complex. After stopping the car, he looked at Chu Jingtian, who was still resting with his eyes closed.
With his eyes shut, Chu Jingtian looked as gentle as a little angel. Su Jingyang reached out, slowly caressing his cheek. He felt a wave of happiness. Having been away for so many years without even a video call, he wanted to stay here as long as possible to savor this hard-won moment.
He stepped out of the car, opened the passenger door, and hoisted Chu Jingtian onto his back. A smile played on his lips. When they were children, Chu Jingtian used to carry him on his back while they talked about the future. It was a bit awkward that their roles were reversed now, and he let out a helpless sigh at the thought.
He carried Chu Jingtian into a bedroom, placed him gently on the bed, and tucked him in. Just as he turned to leave, his hand was gripped tightly by Chu Jingtian. Tenderness filled Su Jingyang’s eyes at the touch. It stirred a thousand emotions within him. In the past, when Chu Jingtian held his hand, it was as brothers, but they were no longer those simple young boys.
As he immersed himself in the moment, Chu Jingtian’s next words sent him straight to hell.
“Sob… what did I do wrong? Why won’t you give me an answer? Why do you treat me like this?”
Chu Jingtian sounded heartbroken. Though his eyes were closed, tears began to stream down his face. Su Jingyang stood there in shock, a genuine pang of distress hitting his heart as he watched the tears fall.
Su Jingyang slowly pried his hand loose, walked out of the room, and quietly shut the door. The moment he was outside, his own tears finally broke free. During his years away, he thought Chu Jingtian was happy with that person. When he first heard the wedding news, he felt like a happy boy falling into an abyss, like an abandoned child.
He leaned against the wall and slid down, brushing his hair back with cold eyes. Thinking of that man’s ugly face, he clenched his fists. He had already established various platforms abroad; now that he was back, he would take everything back. He was fuming and determined to make that man pay a price.
He walked back to his own room, locked the door, and took out a hidden picture frame. Looking at the photo of him and Chu Jingtian, he sighed. His lips twisted with a trace of bitterness. The photo was from a time long gone, a memory that had turned into a river of sorrow. But he was no longer that ignorant boy. This time, he would “reclaim” what was his.
The next morning, Chu Jingtian woke up with an unsettled stomach. Seeing the unfamiliar surroundings, he frowned. When he remembered who he had met the night before, he felt a wave of embarrassment. He had been in such a mess yesterday that he hadn’t thought things through, but now with a clear head, the situation felt awkward.
The “brother” who had been abroad for so many years had suddenly returned. It was a lot to process. He took a breath, pushed the messy thoughts aside, and walked out of the room.
He immediately locked eyes with Su Jingyang. Su Jingyang’s smile was radiant, like a blooming sunflower.
“Good morning, Brother Jingtian.” His voice was crisp and warm.
Chu Jingtian dazed for a moment. He used to lose himself in that gentle smile when they were younger. Now, he didn’t know what to say. After so many years apart and given the awkward atmosphere of the previous night, he wasn’t sure how to break the tension.
“Good morning,” Chu Jingtian replied. He quickly offered a string of thanks and made a move to leave the villa.
Watching his hurried departure, Su Jingyang felt a pang of disappointment. It seemed Chu Jingtian’s impression of him hadn’t changed much over the years. Regardless, he was determined to handle things better this time.
Once outside, Chu Jingtian caught his breath. He truly didn’t know how to face Su Jingyang. When Su Jingyang left the country, Chu Jingtian hadn’t even attended his farewell dinner. He had been so focused on his own wedding preparations. Thinking back, he felt he really owed Su Jingyang an apology.
After all these years, his secret crush had ended in sorrow. If he could do it again, he would definitely have gone to that dinner. He remembered Su Jingyang had sought him out before leaving with red-rimmed eyes, questioning him relentlessly. The boy from back then had grown up and matured.
He sighed, brushed back his hair, and prepared to leave the villa area. He took out his phone to call a ride, but after struggling with the app, he realized no cars were available.
Just as his frustration mounted, Su Jingyang walked out and approached him.
“Brother Jingtian, this is a very private villa area. It’s impossible for outsiders to get in. If you want a ride, I can take you.”
Hearing this, Chu Jingtian realized where they were. They were in Jinhua Court, the most private villa community in the country. He let out a helpless sigh of relief. If he didn’t take the ride, he’d have to walk halfway out of the complex before he could even hope to find a car.
Given the complications, he nodded in agreement. Su Jingyang immediately brought the car around and drove him out.
The drive was silent and tense, as they lacked a common topic of conversation. When they reached a restaurant, Su Jingyang pulled over and led Chu Jingtian inside.
“Brother Jingtian, do you remember this place? Back when we were in school, you used to bring me here to eat during our breaks. My parents were always home but too busy to take me out. But you always found new ways to bring me to places like this and treat me to all sorts of meals.”
Su Jingyang spoke with deep nostalgia. Back in middle school, his family was always so busy that no one had time for him.
