- Chapter 21 - This Round is 666
After everyone had gotten up, the production team instructed them to gather at the village entrance to receive their new mission.
Tian Qi followed Teacher Tang and the others, and along the way, they coincidentally ran into Sun Sijia coming from another path.
Sun Sijia’s first glance fell on Tang Jing, followed by her favorite senior. One was the person who loved her the most, and the other was the person she loved the most.
Facing these two, her expression turned aggrieved.
However, the moment her gaze landed on Tian Qi, her expression instantly changed.
After returning last night, she had thought it over and over, concluding that everything was Tian Qi’s fault. If it weren’t for her, Tang Jing wouldn’t have treated her like that, and she wouldn’t have suffered such deep hurt.
Tian Qi must have said something bad about her to Tang Jing. And now, early in the morning, she was already at Tang Jing’s side definitely up to no good.
Thinking this, she snorted coldly, rolled her eyes, and turned away.
Tian Qi was both amused and annoyed, rolling her eyes right back before muttering, “As if she’s the only one who can roll her eyes.”
Meng Xue’s first glance was at Teacher Tang, only to find that the other was also looking at her. Their eyes met, and Meng Xue quickly averted her gaze, her expression calm but her ears turning red.
[Ahhh! I was so annoyed by the little green tea’s appearance, but after seeing Tang Tang and Xiao Xue locking eyes, oh my god, fellow shippers, do you get me?!]
[That eye contact is so sweet, I’m dying of happiness!]
[LMAO Tian Qi in the middle is still rolling her eyes. Even though it’s directed at the little green tea, anyone who doesn’t know the context would think she’s reacting to Tang Jing and Meng Xue’s PDA.]
[After what you just said, the vibe is instantly there.]
“Teacher Tang, let’s hurry,” Tian Qi said, snapping out of her thoughts and looking at Tang Jing.
Judging by her reaction, she clearly hadn’t noticed the atmosphere between Tang Jing and Meng Xue earlier.
When they arrived at the village entrance, the other three were already there—including Sun Sijia.
Once everyone had gathered, the director announced the day’s mission.
“Today’s task is an escape room challenge,” the director said. “You’ll need to take a shuttle van to the location, about an hour’s drive away.”
The group realized that the production team’s missions were always sudden, catching the guests off guard.
“You now have ten minutes to prepare. After that, we’ll regroup here and depart.”
[Escape room challenge? Wow, that’s something new!]
[The first two seasons didn’t have this, the production team really knows how to spice things up.]
[So excited!!!]
Tang Jing and Meng Xue were dressed casually and didn’t need to prepare anything. They only had their phones, which would be surrendered before entering the escape room.
As a result, the two simply sat on a bench under the big tree at the village entrance, sipping on the sponsor’s beverage.
Tang Jing was the advertising ambassador for this drink.
[This scene is so beautiful!]
[Two beauties sitting under a big tree, drinking the same beverage such a harmonious picture.]
[Sponsor, you should consider having Meng Xue and Tang Jing film a commercial together. It would be absolutely stunning!]
“Teacher Tang, have you ever played an escape room game?” Meng Xue broke the silence by initiating a conversation.
“No,” Tang Jing set her drink aside and asked in return, “How about you?”
Meng Xue smiled. “I played once, but that was years ago.”
Tang Jing continued, “How was it?”
“Kind of scary,” Meng Xue admitted, slightly embarrassed. A breeze lifted her hair, and she tucked a loose strand behind her ear. “I’m afraid of the dark… and ghosts.” The last three words were spoken softly, but Tang Jing still caught them.
Tang Jing said, “We can go together when the time comes.”
“Sure,” Meng Xue nodded with a smile.
After all, she would definitely be too scared to go alone.
While the two were chatting, the other four had already finished preparing and came over.
The six of them boarded the production team’s van. Tang Jing was the first to get on and took the window seat in the very back row.
The others followed.
Luo Dong and Jian Anping sat in the two front seats.
Next was Sun Sijia, whose eyes immediately landed on the seat next to Tang Jing.
Just as she was about to head over, Tian Qi, who boarded after her, slipped past and made her way toward Tang Jing instead. “Teacher Tang, I’ll sit with you.”
Sun Sijia opened her mouth to protest but quickly shut it when she noticed the cameras.
Earlier, when she had gone back, her manager, Sister Lin, had called and warned her to be mindful of the cameras. Her online reputation wasn’t great, and if she kept causing trouble, things could easily go south.
Out of the camera’s view, she shot Tian Qi a glare but ultimately had to settle for the empty seat in front of Tang Jing.
Meng Xue was the last to board. There was an empty seat next to Sun Sijia and another in the back row.
Sun Sijia patted the spot beside her. “Senior, sit here.”
“Teacher Meng, sit here, sit here!” Tian Qi quickly stood up, pulled Meng Xue over by force, and practically shoved her into the seat next to Tang Jing before sitting down beside Meng Xue herself.
Pretending not to notice Sun Sijia’s expression, she said to Meng Xue, “Teacher Tang is too cold, I can’t handle her. It’s best if you sit with her instead.”
[Hahahaha Tian Qi, you little schemer.]
[This move is straight fire 66666.]
