That Girl Who Skipped Class — You're In Big Trouble! - Chapter 21
Chapter 21
The building of A University’s School of Computer Science was newly built three years ago. It followed the school’s usual design of smooth lines, with soft contours draped in bluish-green metal-glazed window panels, preserving the sense of industrial technology befitting a computer science department while remaining approachable. This was An Qingyang’s first time setting foot in this building. She didn’t take the elevator; instead, she walked up the main staircase, passing many students on their way out of class. Since the School of Computer Science was heavily male-dominated, many bespectacled male students cast curious glances at her along the way.
The fourth floor was where the Computer Science teachers’ offices were concentrated. Besides two large tiered classrooms, the rest were offices. An Qingyang walked along the circular corridor on the fourth floor, the walls neatly lined with photos of the School of Computer Science’s past awards and handwritten messages from students.
It was lunchtime, and most offices were empty. An Qingyang could only hear the “tap-tap” of her own footsteps in the corridor. Xiao Xuan’s office was at the end of the fourth-floor corridor, next to a large glass window. The afternoon light spilled in from outside and fell onto the door, which bore a plaque: Xiao Xuan, Associate Professor, Department of Computer Science.
An Qingyang pushed the doorknob. The door wasn’t locked. She opened a small gap and peered inside. Xiao Xuan was typing facing the LCD computer. In the sunlight, she frowned slightly, a triangular shadow falling on the right side of her nose. After an unknown amount of time, An Qingyang realized Xiao Xuan’s eyes were fixed on her, with a look of slight annoyance: “Why are you here but not coming in?”
An Qingyang closed the door and moved toward the desk: “I saw you working seriously and didn’t want to disturb you.”
“Peeking without knocking is justifiable now?” Xiao Xuan pulled her typing hands back from the keyboard and motioned for An Qingyang to sit on the black sofa next to the desk. An Qingyang didn’t move: “Teacher Xiao, long time no see.”
“Didn’t we just see each other?” Xiao Xuan looked puzzled.
“You know I don’t mean that kind of meeting.” An Qingyang looked down at her toes.
Xiao Xuan smiled, a glint of light flickering in her eyes: “I don’t, actually.” With that, she pulled out a notebook folder and handed it to An Qingyang. “Take a look at the competition materials first. These are some key points I organized, along with a few suggestions based on the background of the judges and organizers. I’m quite busy these days, so I can only tutor you in the evenings.”
An Qingyang flipped through the materials, then looked up and asked: “Teacher Xiao, do you really think I can make it to the finals?”
“No.” Xiao Xuan was flipping through the notebook in front of her, not even raising her head.
An Qingyang was stunned. Was this something a virtuous, tireless, hardworking educator should say?
“If you continue to hide your inner thoughts like this, I can’t help you either,” Xiao Xuan looked at her, a shimmering reflection beneath her dense, long eyelashes. “You had an idea just now, didn’t you?”
Startled by her question, An Qingyang felt completely seen through. She forced herself to reply: “The idea isn’t mature yet. Saying it out loud would make me look very inadequate.” Xiao Xuan crossed her hands: “Then tell me now.”
“I want to create a travel photo generation product for college students, satisfying their desire to show off and brag even when they don’t have money to travel yet.”
Xiao Xuan signaled for her to continue.
“I heard about the judges. There are executives from internet companies, so the product’s applicability will be quite important. Plus, the internet is already so developed that everything exists. I think only by making something small and practical can it be integrated into existing products. It could potentially become a feature within a travel app.”
For the first time, Xiao Xuan showed an appreciative expression: “How did you come up with these ideas? They don’t seem like something a college student would conceive.”
An Qingyang leaned forward toward the desk, feigning a troubled look: “I have an old soul sleeping in my belly.”
Xiao Xuan ignored An Qingyang, took the folder, and flipped down a few pages, pointing to a line of text for her to read. An Qingyang bent over, and Xiao Xuan’s clear voice sounded next to her ear, but her gaze was drawn to the sight before her: beneath the shallow-neck sweater, Xiao Xuan’s fair neck extended, revealing two full collarbones, which were subtly vibrating with the resonance of her voice. A few unruly strands of hair were tangled at the back of her neck, emanating the delicate fragrance of perfume.
After Xiao Xuan finished speaking, she noticed An Qingyang was looking at her with a flushed face. Just as she was about to ask, An Qingyang wrapped her arms around Xiao Xuan’s neck, her scorching body temperature spreading like fire onto Xiao Xuan’s face: “Teacher Xiao, you’re so beautiful. I’m going to kiss you.”
A mouth blocked Xiao Xuan’s delayed struggle. It swept boldly, finally stinging Xiao Xuan all over. Her stiff tongue was audaciously sucked by the other person. Xiao Xuan’s face slowly turned red up to her earlobes, and she managed to utter a few words: “Yáng Yáng, I can’t breathe…” But the mouth kept gnawing at her neck as if it didn’t care, burning from behind her ear down to her chest, stopping at her collarbone to lick softly.
Xiao Xuan panicked, gripping An Qingyang’s shoulders tightly: “An Qingyang, you are too bold.” Seeing that she didn’t listen, Xiao Xuan pushed hard, but their limited position prevented her from moving An Qingyang.
Unexpectedly, a pair of hands reached inside her sweater, cupping and kneading her breast.
“You hooligan!” The usually elegant Teacher Xiao cried out, blushing.
An Qingyang snapped out of it, sat back on the sofa in three steps, and reverted to her usual maidenly appearance, blinking her big eyes at the completely flushed Xiao Xuan: “Teacher Xiao, where were we?”
