Striving for Harmony After Transmigrating as an Alpha Female Supporting Character - Chapter 12
In the past, Ai Xiaoyu was arrogant and overbearing. She was a spoiled little princess who insisted on having the final word. Even when she cried, it was usually over a lack of pretty dresses or toys, always presenting a delicate yet irritating demeanor.
But the Ai Xiaoyu she had seen lately was a high-achieving “good girl” whose doll-like face appeared remarkably cute. Although her words could still sting occasionally, the reality was that she had been treating her quite well.
Jing Nianxun could faintly sense that Ai Xiaoyu’s attitude toward her had completely shifted. It was as if she had been reborn, so much so that Jing Nianxun found herself stealing glances at her.
Has she truly changed? If she has, what do the past years even mean? Does my hatred simply turn into a page of nonsense?
Jing Nianxun lowered her eyes. Behind her, the person continued to sob quietly, the sweet peach scent teasing her gland. As the scent grew thicker and the fingertips grazed her neck, Jing Nianxun realized something was wrong with herself as well.
It turned out she was not physiologically defective after all. She could smell pheromones. More importantly, she was likely an Omega—an Omega currently sensitive only to Ai Xiaoyu.
Teeth finally brushed against her gland, tentatively probing inward. The calm surface of the lake rippled for the first time. A scent of flowers and tea began to diffuse—fresh and elegant—soothing the frantic, burning sensations.
For the first time, Jing Nianxun felt her own pheromones, and it was because of Ai Xiaoyu.
Meanwhile, from the moment she heard movement, Ai Xiaoyu had been in a daze, as if floating in the clouds. Sensing someone enter, she felt an urgent need to alleviate the heat in her body and instinctively leaned toward that person.
The person possessed a gentle coolness that accommodated her movements, safely wrapping and absorbing her physiological impulses. It felt like wandering through a vast wilderness, where mountains of tea leaves emitted a fresh fragrance, dotted with white flower buds.
When Ai Xiaoyu finally regained consciousness, she looked up to see a white ceiling. Sitting up, she was handed a towel by a nurse.
“This is…?”
Ai Xiaoyu looked around in confusion. The small room contained only her bed and a few cabinets filled with bottles and jars. The air was thick with the stinging smell of disinfectant.
She remembered now: she felt unwell and went to the restroom, only to discover her rut had arrived. Then… what happened next? Someone had come in.
Ai Xiaoyu’s heart skipped a beat. She hurriedly asked the nurse, “Who brought me here?”
The nurse smiled. “A very beautiful girl. Is she your girlfriend?”
What girlfriend? Ai Xiaoyu muttered to herself before asking, “Do you know her name?”
The nurse flipped through the record sheet. “Well, she just filled out her name to get the suppressant. Take a look.”
On the sheet were the three elegant characters: Jing Nianxun.
At that moment, only one thought occupied Ai Xiaoyu’s mind: I am screwed!
Based on her fragmented memories, she had likely bitten Jing Nianxun’s gland! But wasn’t Jing Nianxun undifferentiated? Even if she had, she was supposed to be an Alpha in the original book. How could she react to another Alpha’s gland?
Wait, while Alpha-Alpha relationships existed… no, that wasn’t the point! The point was, how was she supposed to face the heroine now?!
And then there was the System. Not only had she failed the 10,000 Entropy mission to beat up the heroine, but she had also engaged in extreme physical intimacy. Would her Entropy drop by 20,000 now?
As if hearing her internal scream, the System gave a quiet chirp. Ai Xiaoyu waited, trembling, for her fate. She even found time to wonder: If I get erased in the infirmary right now, would I be the first Alpha in this world to die from their first rut?
The System finally spoke:
[Host hugged the heroine: OOC +10] [Host bit the heroine’s gland: OOC +10] [Host affectionately called the heroine’s name: OOC +10]
“Enough! Just tell me the result!” Ai Xiaoyu interrupted, feeling like someone eagerly seeking their own execution.
The System stopped reporting the OOC value at 90. With only 10 points left, she would be sent back to her original world—back to a body that might already be in a grave.
But then there was the punishment for the failed 10,000 Entropy mission. The System paused for a few seconds—seconds that felt like a century to Ai Xiaoyu. Then, with a hint of confusion in its voice, it announced:
[Mission Completed. Reward: Entropy +300] [Current Entropy: 510. Requirement met. OOC restriction has been lifted.]
!!!
Ai Xiaoyu nearly bounced off the bed, only to be pressed back down by the nurse.
The nurse looked at her skeptically. “You are the most energetic Alpha I’ve seen during a rut. You’re still this lively even after a suppressant?”
“I’m fine,” Ai Xiaoyu laughed.
She returned to her consciousness to talk to the System. “System, tell me! How did I complete the mission? Did I actually hit the heroine while I was out of it? Not that I wanted to, but…”
The System silently pulled up the memory. “See for yourself.”
In the recording of the restroom, Ai Xiaoyu was clinging to Jing Nianxun like a sloth, burying her face in the girl’s neck. At the same time, she was rhythmically pounding her fists against the heroine’s body.
Thump, thump, thump. “Little fists hitting the chest,” basically.
So that counted as “beating up the heroine”? That actually counted?!
Overcome with shame, Ai Xiaoyu buried her face in the blanket and let out a muffled roar.
“What is wrong now?” the nurse asked, eyes wide.
“Nothing, nothing at all,” Ai Xiaoyu forced a smile.
Although the suppressant had helped immensely, the nurse refused to let her go back to class, arguing that in her current erratic state, she might do something “indecent” to some poor Omega.
After leaving the school, Ai Xiaoyu waited by the road for her driver. Looking at the occasional students skipping class, she felt an overwhelming sense of affection for everyone. She even waved at them, receiving several eye-rolls in return.
She, Ai Xiaoyu, was finally free from the OOC restrictions! She had escaped the shadow of the original host and could do whatever she wanted! No more worrying about breaking character!
As for the heroine, she could now freely build up Entropy and goodwill. She was going to become the heroine’s best friend and create a world of total harmony.
