After class, Bai Xia invited Chu Nanqiao to eat at the school cafeteria.

She had originally planned to go out for a meal, but Xu Mo and Lin Fei were also heading out. It’s just that so many juniors and junior sisters come to me for help, and I can never remember all their names. I was worried about calling them the wrong thing and making things awkward, so I just defaulted to this generic term. Over time, it became a habit, and now I just say it without thinking. If you feel disrespected, I’ll make sure to add your name next time.”

Chu Nanqiao ignored everything else and zeroed in on one phrase: “so many juniors and junior sisters come to me for help.” Her mood instantly soured.
