Jian Chen is a zoologist whose dream is to own a panda and open a zoo.
In the year 3769, the government issued a new policy: Due to a severe imbalance in the male-to-female ratio, citizens are allowed to adopt a panda one per household. The catch: the adopter must register for marriage with a same-sex partner matched by the state.
A week later, Jian Chen, clutching a panda cub, met the man rumored to have a 100% system compatibility with him. Tall, handsome, with an aura of cold, fierce intimidation.
Jian Chen silently looked away, the tips of his ears burning with nerves under the man’s gaze. Fortunately, the other man was cold and taciturn, appearing to have little interest in him.
Feeling somewhat relieved, Jian Chen didn’t sleep a wink on his wedding night. With red-rimmed eyes, Jian Chen silently let the man massage his waist. He told himself this was just a marital duty the necessary price for adopting the cub.
But this price wasn’t it a bit too crazy?
They lived their lives as husbands like this for three years. Until one day, a comet struck the Earth, and people fled in terror. The unconscious Jian Chen unexpectedly transmigrated to the Interstellar Era. He transmigrated into the owner of a dilapidated zoo.
Although the zoo was on the verge of bankruptcy, it housed various precious species. The cubs spent their days scavenging grass for food, filthy and looking incredibly disheveled.
As a zoologist, Jian Chen couldn’t help but feel soft-hearted. He decided to pull himself together, revive the zoo, and take on the responsibility of being their breeder!
The young man’s shirt was crisp, his presence warm, and his fingers long; his textbook-level cat-petting skills and caretaking methods were accidentally filmed by a tourist and uploaded online. The zoo became an overnight sensation.
At the same time, his cub actually transmigrated with him. It turned out to be the very last panda cub in the entire galaxy?! The whole galaxy was in an uproar!
It seemed all of Jian Chen’s dreams had come true. Except, in the dead of night, he would occasionally lose control and think of the cub’s father.
One day, while livestreaming himself brushing a white tiger cub’s fur, Jian Chen saw his lover on the virtual news returning from the battlefield, dressed in military uniform, looking cold and stern as he stepped off the starship. He heard the officers address him as Your Majesty.
Jian Chen, his fingertips trembling: The cub watching TV beside him, putting down its bamboo: Papa? The entire internet: !!???? What did they just hear?
