Sis, Do You Need a Dog? - Chapter 3
Chapter 3: Because She Wasn’t Good
Nine years ago…
Si Tingbai felt her breath hitch for a split second, and then her heart began to race like a mad thing.
So, it wasn’t just her who still remembered the events from nine years ago.
Unable to contain her joy, Si Tingbai wanted to ask more, but she realized that the look in Cheng Shuyi’s eyes at this moment was incredibly tender.
In the month they had known each other, Cheng Shuyi rarely showed such an expression.
Once was after getting drunk, when she stared longingly into Si Tingbai’s eyes for a long time.
Another was the night after they had been intimate, when Cheng Shuyi leaned against her neck and let out a soft sigh.
This was the third time.
Si Tingbai didn’t dare continue the topic of the past, fearing she might disturb this rare moment of tranquility.
Making eye contact is a form of spiritual kissing, devoid of lust.
Si Tingbai carefully kissed Cheng Shuyi thousands of times with her eyes.
Until Cheng Shuyi’s kiss truly landed on her lips.
“I miss you so much.”
The sigh was very, very light, but Si Tingbai heard it.
The locked gaze broke as Si Tingbai opened her arms to catch the approaching embrace, holding Cheng Shuyi steadily in her arms.
I miss you so much, Cheng Shuyi felt the warmth in her arms and thought in her heart, I miss you so much, Zhao Zhao.
Her pounding heart seemed desperate for an outlet, but since her lover’s gaze had shifted away, it could only vibrate fruitlessly within her chest.
Overwhelmed by massive joy, Si Tingbai had no chance to hear the “suffix” to the sentence “I miss you so much.”
Nor did she realize that this tender gaze was merely looking through her to see someone else.
Wrapped in this tenderness, Si Tingbai poured out her full heart of love, carefully compressing it into words.
“I miss you so much too,” Si Tingbai whispered into Cheng Shuyi’s ear. “Sister.”
The word “Sister” was like a warning bell, shattering Cheng Shuyi’s current illusion.
She closed her eyes and sighed, feeling the heat of the embrace, but her heart slowly began to cool.
“Alright.” Cheng Shuyi sighed again, slowly pulling away from the hug and standing up. “What were you looking at just now?”
The person standing back in her original spot had returned to her distant, aloof demeanor.
The suddenly cold attitude didn’t wake the person still trapped in the “village of tenderness.”
“I was looking at the location for tomorrow’s shoot. I wanted to adapt to the identity in advance, Sister.” Si Tingbai answered while holding up the tablet so the person beside her could see clearly.
The screen showed a bookstore, which was the primary location for Si Tingbai’s shoot tomorrow. These were meant to be preserved traces of her life as a “civilian” before her debut as an idol.
Cheng Shuyi was 1.68 meters tall. Even though she wasn’t as tall as Si Tingbai, there was a sense of distance between the two as she stood there. Thus, Si Tingbai, sitting at her feet, had to look all the way up to speak.
Her hair, washed and dried, was fluffy at the top; her cheeks still had a hint of baby fat. Looking up expectantly like that, she seemed both obedient and soft.
Inexplicably, it made one want to pinch her face.
Thinking this, Cheng Shuyi actually did it.
Gently pinching the cheek with her fingertips, Cheng Shuyi even gave it a little shake. “What did you put on your face today?”
“That!” Si Tingbai pointed a long finger toward the corner… of a pile of expensive cosmetics.
Hidden there was a small jar of pink-and-white baby cream.
Cheng Shuyi was amused and looked down with a touch of helplessness. “Didn’t you come without a bag today? Where did that come from?”
“Hehe.” Seeing Cheng Shuyi smile, Si Tingbai smiled too. “I secretly stuffed it into my suit trousers pocket.”
Cheng Shuyi truly found it hard to imagine that the person who sat at the bar with a cold face all night was actually carrying a jar of baby cream. She found it even harder to imagine that with such simple skincare ingredients, the texture of the cheek under her fingertips could be this good.
“Why did you bring it?” Cheng Shuyi asked knowingly, though she stopped pinching her face.
“Because Sister was coming to the shoot tonight. I thought if Sister was in a good mood and I happened to perform well, maybe I could go home with Sister, so I brought it.” Si Tingbai answered seriously, her ink-like clear eyes reflecting Cheng Shuyi’s shadow. “And I really want to…”
Her voice gradually weakened, and Si Tingbai swallowed slightly. Her gaze fixed on Cheng Shuyi’s lips; she felt inexplicably thirsty.
“Really want what?” Seeing through the desire in her eyes, Cheng Shuyi’s voice was light, almost like a coaxing lure.
“I really want to kiss Sister.” Si Tingbai obediently bared her heart. Her eyes were pure, and her long lashes trembled slightly, like a butterfly passing over a disturbed lake.
Watching those eyes fill with emotion bit by bit, Cheng Shuyi curled her lips slightly. “You may.”
As soon as the words left her mouth, the person who had been sitting cross-legged at her feet shifted into a kneeling position and slowly stood up.
A very light kiss landed on the lips, then parted; the breath between them carried a peach-like sweetness. It was the scent of Si Tingbai’s baby cream.
“Then… can I also hold you, Sister?” Si Tingbai’s gaze was burning, a mix of restraint and longing.
This “ask a step, take a step” routine was a rule Cheng Shuyi had established the first night she brought her home. Now they had been together for a month, and she had been brought home too many times to count. Yet Si Tingbai remained bound by the agreement, obedient and not daring to overstep in the slightest.
Cheng Shuyi was very satisfied and felt she should give more rewards. “You may. I allow you to carry me to the bed, and I allow the things that follow to happen.”
As her arms wrapped around her waist and firmly supported her legs, Cheng Shuyi noticed that Si Tingbai’s hands remained tightly clenched since she hadn’t received permission to touch elsewhere. She was disciplined and restrained; even when rewarded with a hug, she didn’t dare touch Cheng Shuyi’s body haphazardly.
Despite having already done the most intimate things…
Cheng Shuyi inexplicably remembered the first night she brought her home. The girl, washed clean and wearing one of her white shirts, sat cross-legged on the carpet. Her exquisite, beautiful face was full of awkwardness and nerves, yet the expression in her eyes was so burning and frantic.
Two completely different emotions intertwined, but Cheng Shuyi only remembered the cleanliness and clarity of those eyes. They looked exactly like that person in her memory.
So Cheng Shuyi had proactively gone over and kissed her eyes.
…… (Enough, it’s been deleted, please don’t lock it, okay?)
“Mmm, Si Tingbai.”
A scolding tone tinged with anger; the swaying shadows of the lamp flickered. The person who had been kneeling was pushed, wobbling slightly.
In the dim, warm yellow light, a fresh bite mark appeared on snow-white skin. It was placed exactly on Cheng Shuyi’s collarbone.
Realizing she had made a mistake, Si Tingbai lowered her head, not daring to look into Cheng Shuyi’s eyes.
Losing control only took one kiss; with the barrier of clothing removed, there was no gap between their lips, teeth, and tongues. But Si Tingbai was still not satisfied; the desire for possession had been catalyzed. A mere kiss wasn’t enough.
A longing nine years long—she wanted more. To leave a mark, to possess completely…
“Put it on yourself.” Cheng Shuyi looked down at the tooth marks on her collarbone, her tone carrying a hint of dissatisfaction.
The only thing that pleased her was Si Tingbai’s absolute obedience.
The bite suppressor was fastened firmly behind her head, the silver metal glinting under the orange warm light. Her lips, pressed by the mouth ball, could not close; a small pink tongue was trapped with the black-and-red ball. As more time passed, uncontrolled saliva would trace down from her lips.
It was erotic yet tinged with a certain piteousness. Especially those eyes, stained with passion and desire.
The person on her knees crawled closer.
Burning, hot breath pressed against her neck; Cheng Shuyi felt a bit of an itch.
“It seems you aren’t quite used to it yet.” Cheng Shuyi’s fingertips lightly brushed the face of the person kneeling over her. The metal of the suppressor absorbed her body heat; the person looking up at her seemed quite pathetic.
Si Tingbai was obedient in every way—beautiful and thoughtful. There was only one bad thing: she loved to bite.
“This is my last warning to you.” Cheng Shuyi’s voice turned cold, with an absolute power that brooked no refusal. “You are not allowed to leave marks on my body.”
No matter how much she looked like her, she could never truly become her. Cheng Shuyi was not generous enough to allow a substitute to brand her.
So she curled her finger, signaling Si Tingbai to lean closer.
Unable to speak, the girl could only nod, like a puppy that had caused trouble, quietly waiting for her master’s punishment.
“In the future, when you become a public figure, you aren’t allowed to have marks on your body either.” Her voice, tinged with desire, was slightly hoarse as she stroked Si Tingbai’s face. “Did you remember?”
Si Tingbai nodded submissively, her fox-like eyes stained by the light and passion, looking beautifully piteous.
“So good.” Cheng Shuyi smiled lightly and leaned in to plant a kiss on those eyes.
The originally stagnant shadows began to sway once more.
The sounds of pleasure filled the air until the early morning hours before finally dissipating into the warm light.
The torrential rain that had lasted for days finally broke into a rare sunny spell.
Si Tingbai sat before the mirror with her eyes squinted, allowing the makeup artist to pat and brush her face. The pre-selected clothes were laid out on a rack, waiting for her to finish and change.
This was the routine Si Tingbai had performed every day for the past month. Although she didn’t know the reason, as long as Cheng Shuyi gave the order, Si Tingbai would obey unconditionally. She knew nothing about the entertainment industry she was about to enter, but as long as Cheng Shuyi stood beside her, she had the courage to move forward.
Taking advantage of the gap when the makeup artist changed brushes, Si Tingbai squinted through the mirror to peek at the person standing outside the RV.
The two had woken up together this morning and left together as well. Thinking of this, Si Tingbai couldn’t help but lower her head and sniff the elegant scent on her collar—this was Cheng Shuyi’s usual perfume, and now she carried it too.
Normally, Cheng Shuyi would stay by her side during makeup, but she had run into a friend.
Before Si Tingbai could look for more than a couple of seconds, the makeup artist’s voice came from above: “Close your eyes.”
Obediently closing her eyes, Si Tingbai didn’t see that the person outside the RV had tilted her chin up, shifting the topic to her.
“So this is the person Queen Cheng has been busy with lately?”
Yu Yuanye was wearing casual clothes, her valiant eyebrows reflecting a sense of justice. “Tsk tsk, I can see all your thoughts are on her lately. I’m holding a grudge for you skipping my drinking session.”
Hearing her friend’s teasing, Cheng Shuyi laughed softly. “Who wants to drink Wangzai milk with ice cubes with you at a bar?”
“We People’s Police must remain clear-headed at all times, even though I’m on vacation now.” Yu Yuanye let out a soft sigh. “My Master’s wife is taking on a new female apprentice soon; I’ll be losing my favor soon.”
“No wonder you have time to visit my set today.” Cheng Shuyi let out a few “tsks.” “Haven’t you been with your Master’s wife since graduation? And you’re still afraid of losing favor.”
Cheng Shuyi and Yu Yuanye were childhood friends; their connection probably went back to their great-grandmothers’ generation. They went to school together until they split for university. Cheng Shuyi studied journalism, while Yu Yuanye went to be a police officer.
Nine years had passed in a flash. Cheng Shuyi had switched careers to become a manager, hailed as a legend in the industry. Yu Yuanye was still at the police station, having fought her way into the front lines of criminal investigation. The only constant was their friendship.
“But seriously, Shuyi.” Yu Yuanye’s gaze fixed on the person inside the car. “That incident didn’t affect you, did it? That ‘Lola’ or whatever her name is… she played so wild. Did you know…”
Yu Yuanye’s voice trailed off because she read the answer she wanted from her friend’s smile.
“I’m the one who handled Lola’s situation.” Cheng Shuyi’s gaze also fell on the car window. “Some of the photos leaked by her girlfriend came from my hands.”
“But didn’t you strictly forbid your subordinates from messing around? And you forbid all ‘unspoken rule’ resources.” Yu Yuanye suddenly felt her IQ couldn’t keep up. “And you spent so much effort promoting her back then—to destroy her just like that, why?”
Cheng Shuyi didn’t answer immediately. Instead, she reached out. “Give me one.”
“Tsk, can’t you finish talking before smoking?” Yu Yuanye grumbled, but her hands were honest as she took a cigarette pack from her pocket. “This tobacco is strong, used for staying up late to refresh the mind. You probably won’t be used to it.”
Cheng Shuyi took it and lit it, but she didn’t smoke. As the nicotine turned into rising white smoke, Cheng Shuyi let out a soft sigh.
The sound of movement came from inside the RV.
Si Tingbai had finished changing and was fully made up, but Cheng Shuyi still hadn’t come back. So, ignoring the staff’s attempts to stop her, she pulled open a crack in the tightly closed window.
Si Tingbai poked her head out of the window and gave a brilliant smile to Cheng Shuyi standing outside.
Yu Yuanye, whose back was turned, heard the sound and turned around. Seeing the girl’s smiling face, she let out a couple of “tsks.” “Where do you find so many beauties every day? This one is even prettier, even younger.”
Yu Yuanye watched the person at the window pull her head back in after smiling, then she turned around and asked, “Stop teasing, Queen. Tell me.”
“Because she wasn’t good.” Cheng Shuyi tilted her head to avoid the smoke that was about to cloud her eyes, her tone flat. “I don’t keep disobedient dogs by my side.”
