Su Huaiwang saw her across the fence. The girl was slender and soft, her exposed skin in the summer sunlight a transparent white with the cool, jade-like texture. The exquisite face beneath her wide-brimmed hat showed a friendly and gentle smile when their eyes met. Su Huaiwang returned the smile, then lowered her head and continued tending her vegetable garden.

She didn’t expect to see the new neighbor again that night.

In the dream, the young girl fulfilled all of Su Huaiwang’s fantasies. When she awoke, the sun was high in the sky outside. She looked at the small toy next to her, which had been used last night and not yet put away, and her heart was in turmoil.

So, the wildest wet dream she’d had in years was with a new neighbor she’d only met once, trying out all the moves she’d selected the night before as “side dishes”?!

Su Huaiwang buried her face in her hands in distress, wondering if there was something wrong with her.

The doorbell suddenly rang. She quickly threw on some clothes to open the door.

Standing outside was the very young girl who had been intimately entwined with her in her dream last night.

The girl greeted her, acting familiar. The hand that reached out to hers was ice-cold in the summer heat, as if freshly dipped in a stream. Su Huaiwang was lost in guilt and didn’t pay attention to these details.

The girl, just like her beautiful face, was kind, compliant, and possessed a unique youthful vitality that made Su Huaiwang’s long-dormant heart begin to beat.

She initially thought dreaming of the other woman was merely a coincidence, but she never imagined that every night thereafter, the girl would appear in her dreams. With the same obedient smile she wore during their daytime conversations, and utilizing the specific acts Su Huaiwang herself chose before bed, the girl trapped her in her grasp, time and time again.

Su Huaiwang was once missing for a month.

No one could find her during that time, not even herself.

She had amnesia, the memory of that month completely wiped clean.

When she woke up in the hospital bed, many people surrounded her, looking at her with complicated expressions.

She felt baffled, but the answers she received when she asked were unsatisfying: “Just a disappearance,” “Just an accident.”

With no conclusive answer, Su Huaiwang quickly put the matter out of her mind.

It wasn’t until a year later, during the passionate entanglement with the girl in her dream, that she vaguely recalled the deeply meaningful words the other had said when the disappearance was mentioned:

“…Because you are too good, those filthy things became covetous of you.”

The new neighbor’s exquisite features, beautiful in the sunlight in a way that seemed otherworldly, were like a block of ice completely at her command in the dream.

Gasping, Su Huaiwang lowered her head, looking at the seemingly meek and obedient girl, whose movements occasionally flashed with a look of obsession.

So, who is the “filthy thing” coveting her?
