Seduced By My Omega Stepsister - Chapter 3
Pain.
There was no suppressor.
An indescribable sensation surged from the depths of Fu Zhou’s heart, quickly filling her until even the tip of her heart felt sour and aching.
She looked at Chu Xiyu, her breathing shallow. The girl was enduring heavy gasps with difficulty, turning her head away as she bit her lip in shame.
For a newly differentiated Omega, the first batch of suppressors should have been collected from the government by their parents. Any damage or loss required an immediate report and a replacement.
But Chu Xiyu had no suppressor. In this empty, unfamiliar small house, no one knew.
Fu Li didn’t know, and neither did Chu Wen.
Fu Zhou secretly despised herself, she truly hated her overflowing sense of empathy. But her hands moved faster than her brain. She shed her jacket, the small patch of soft flesh at the nape of her neck already swelling slightly due to the stimulation.
“I… I don’t have marking fangs yet. You bite me, and then I’ll go out and buy the suppressor.”
As soon as the words left her mouth, the previously silent Chu Xiyu lifted her pale eyes. Her expression was both familiar and strange stoic, cold, yet mixed with complex emotions.
In the next moment, the girl’s soft lips pressed against Fu Zhou’s not yet fully developed gland. Fu Zhou’s body stiffened for a moment, her fingers gripping the wooden frame of the bed.
An Omega has no marking fangs, she was simply grinding with her teeth, gradually applying pressure. Amidst the numbing sensation came a sting of pain. While Fu Zhou suppressed these alien feelings, she kept a close eye on Chu Xiyu’s condition.
Her sister’s breathing was heavier than hers. The scent of roses in the air was now laced with a hint of wine, inexplicably intoxicating.
Chu Xiyu slumped weakly into Fu Zhou’s arms.
The girl turned her face away, panting softly, her voice so tender it felt as if water could be squeezed from it: “Have you… ever had a biology class?”
Fu Zhou dithered: “I skipped them.”
“No wonder.”
“I… I know the basics, okay? Just the usual stuff everyone hears. I just couldn’t be bothered to listen!” Fu Zhou carried Chu Xiyu back to the bed and thoughtfully tucked her in.
“Fine, I’m going to buy the suppressor. Wait for me, and don’t fall asleep yet.” Fu Zhou smiled brightly, but Chu Xiyu’s gaze remained fixed on the nape of her neck specifically, the small patch of skin that had been bitten raw.
“Mm,” she nodded softly. Fu Zhou crept out on tiptoe, quietly closing the door behind her.
Chu Xiyu checked her phone. Chu Wen had sent a message an hour ago saying only the two of them would be home tonight. What was Fu Zhou being so cautious about?
She thought of that underdeveloped Alpha, charging off to buy a suppressor while sporting a gland bitten by an Omega, and a faint smile suddenly touched her lips.
Her finger brushed against the Omega Manual on the bedside table. She flipped a page, and the first line was printed clearly: “The sale of Omega suppressors is strictly regulated. They must be purchased by a blood relative or the individual themselves. If a friend purchases on their behalf, verification is required.”
Fu Zhou went downstairs to get her bicycle. This was a villa district, many seniors were out practicing Tai Chi in the evening. Elders always favored good-looking kids, especially since she was an Alpha, so many eyes followed her along the way.
“Xiao Zhou, heading out again?”
“Yeah, just going to buy something!”
Smiling as she greeted the security guard, Fu Zhou pedaled toward the nearest service point.
When she entered the brightly lit hall, Fu Zhou felt a wave of gazes press toward her. Moments later, several people in white coats looked her way repeatedly.
Before Fu Zhou could speak, one of the doctors leaned over to another: “This isn’t an Omega, it’s an immature Alpha. But she has Omega pheromones on her… looks like she was bitten by an Omega.”
Fu Zhou: “…”
“Could you at least not say it right in front of me?” Fu Zhou looked at them expressionlessly. Usually sunny and warm, she now looked somewhat “grumpy-cute.”
“What, you think it’s embarrassing to be bitten by an Omega?” The doctor skillfully rummaged through drawers, soon opening a tightly sealed, locked iron box.
“Why would it be embarrassing?” Fu Zhou leaned over the counter curiously.
“Because… Alphas are usually in the dominant position in these matters.” The doctor moved the suppressor away from Fu Zhou’s reaching hand.
“The grade of pheromones on you is very high. High-grade Omegas are rare. Where is the Omega who bit you?”
“At my house.” Seeing the doctor’s expression turn suggestive, Fu Zhou waved her hands frantically, “No, she’s my step-sister.”
“Oh?”
Great, that sounds even worse.
Watching the young Alpha’s face turn bright red, the doctor chuckled, “Alright, give her a video call. We just need to scan her face.”
Fu Zhou nodded quickly, but her fingers paused while searching her contacts.
She didn’t have Chu Xiyu’s contact info.
In the end, she called Fu Li. Only after repeatedly promising that she didn’t dislike Chu Xiyu and that she wasn’t just too shy to ask for her number, did she receive the contact.
The profile picture was a white lop-eared rabbit, and the nickname was just her surname.
She sent the friend request, it was accepted within seconds. Then, a single question mark appeared on the screen.
Fu Zhou started a video call. When Chu Xiyu answered, the first thing she saw was a face flushed red.
The Alpha’s dark eyes flickered with anxiety, her gaze shifting guiltily.
Chu Xiyu curled her lips. When her gaze passed over the bitten skin on the back of Fu Zhou’s neck, her eyes darkened imperceptibly.
“Chu Xiyu, do you know how to prove you’re an Omega?” After a long pause, the Alpha finally managed to speak. A shy expression bloomed in her eyes, filled with a watery glint that made her look… delicious.
The faint taste of wine seemed to flood the tip of Chu Xiyu’s tongue again, and the heat she had just suppressed began to rise once more.
“Yes. Give the phone to the doctor.” Fu Zhou hurried to hand the phone over as if it were a hot potato.
Chu Xiyu said something to the doctor. A few minutes later, the doctor handed Fu Zhou the suppressor, wrapped in a specialized package.
Then, the doctor dropped the joking tone and looked at Fu Zhou: “A newly differentiated Omega is very fragile, and so is an Alpha. I see you’re about to differentiate soon, you must pay close attention to your gland during this time.”
“Even if you’re sisters, don’t help with gland-biting. If a marking occurs by accident, it’s for life. Do you understand?”
Fu Zhou nodded absentmindedly, the suppressor in her hand feeling strangely hot. Seeing the doctor about to say more, she waved her hand and ran toward the door with a smile.
“Doctor, my sister is waiting at home! Let’s chat next time!”
Running out of the service point, Fu Zhou sped home on her bike.
She was lying, she wouldn’t come back here next time. The doctor was too enthusiastic and talkative, she couldn’t handle it.
Parking her bike in the courtyard, she shut the door and ran upstairs. Chu Xiyu was doing schoolwork under a desk lamp. Hearing the door open, her pale eyes looked over.
The summer night wasn’t particularly cool. The person who just returned grabbed a bottle of water from the cabinet by the door and pulled the well-wrapped suppressor from her pocket. As she walked over, the restless, hot aura unique to youth rushed toward Chu Xiyu.
The gland at the back of her neck began secreting the scent of roses again, yet the person in front of her kept leaning in like a puppy. Chu Xiyu subtly leaned back, reaching out to take the suppressor Fu Zhou had bought.
She then looked up to meet the eyes of the “puppy” who was currently unscrewing the water bottle. Fu Zhou’s eyes were filled with confusion as she gestured with her chin toward the suppressor in Chu Xiyu’s hand.
“Use it, it’s safe.” After saying that, she tilted her head back and took a large gulp of water, her prominent Adam’s apple bobbing. Chu Xiyu’s gaze recoiled as if stung.
“Okay.” Chu Xiyu pulled her collar aside, exposing her flushed, full gland to the air once again right in front of Fu Zhou. The scent of roses intensified.
Fu Zhou, who had only been around Betas, watched curiously. Her gaze was so intense it made Chu Xiyu’s palms tremble. She opened the packaging, bled the air out of the syringe, and somewhat awkwardly injected the medicine into her own gland.
The moment the needle entered, a layer of moisture covered her eyes, and her breathing quickened. As the cold medicine was injected, the chilling sensation spread from the most sensitive part of her body to her entire being.
She closed her eyes and waited a while before opening them again.
The person who had been watching curiously had turned her back at some point, her ears burning red.
“Why aren’t you looking?” Chu Xiyu asked softly and casually. Fu Zhou’s body visibly stiffened. She let out a long breath, trying to erase the vivid images of Chu Xiyu from her mind.
“I was just worried something might go wrong… Chu Xiyu, you should rest. I’m going back to my room.” The rose scent in the air was too thick, her own gland felt like it was going to explode, throbbing in the air as if trying to rebel.
“Come here first.” Chu Xiyu beckoned. Fu Zhou walked over and crouched in front of her.
The girl moved closer, almost falling into her arms. Then, Fu Zhou felt something cold being pressed against her feverish gland, relieving much of the pain.
Before she could react, the warmth in her arms vanished. Chu Xiyu sat up, a calm smile on her face.
“Alright, you can go back now.” Fu Zhou instinctively reached up to touch the skin on the back of her neck. A new barrier patch had been applied there.
When she looked up at Chu Xiyu, the girl had already looked away, continuing her schoolwork under the lamp.
They attended a prestigious high school; by the end of the first year, they had already covered half of the second year’s curriculum. It would be difficult for Chu Xiyu to catch up.
Fu Zhou suddenly felt a sense of inadequacy.
Her grades were terrible. She couldn’t help Chu Xiyu.
