Reborn a Scummy Alpha, Happily Ever After with the Movie Queen - Chapter 47
The male Alpha licked the corner of his lips and yanked hard on Ye Youyi’s slender arm. Feeling her struggle, he simply pinned both her wrists above her head.
As the fabric of her clothes tore apart, Ye Youyi’s panic surged. “Get away from me! Don’t touch me!”
But the man had already begun releasing his tobacco-scented pheromones, wrapping her in their heavy, dizzying haze until her scalp tingled and her vision blurred.
Her resistance irritated him. He raised his hand and slapped her hard across the face. Stars burst before her eyes as she reeled from the blow, nearly passing out.
“No one’s coming to save you! Be good and maybe it won’t hurt as much!”
Tears welled in the corners of her eyes, and the faint scent of her pheromones began to spill out. The man, already consumed by desire, leaned in to inhale deeply, then roughly cupped her face, forcing her head aside to expose the slight swell of her gland at the nape of her neck.
“Your pheromones smell incredible.”
Completely immobilized, Ye Youyi was trapped in the Alpha’s scent, the acrid tobacco stench suffocating her. The smell made her stomach churn.
She wanted to escape—to run from this living hell—but the sound of the Alpha’s ragged breathing drew closer and closer. She realized with despair that she was about to be marked.
Her body trembled violently as she tried to fight back one last time.
The man saw her intent and jammed his elbow against her face, pinning her down. “Stay still!”
Terror flooded her. She could no longer move. Her face pressed to the side, she could only stare toward the door, the desperate light in her eyes fading little by little.
Bang!
A loud crash broke the silence. The door burst open, and soft moonlight spilled into the room.
Through her blurred tears, Ye Youyi saw a tall figure standing in the doorway, walking toward her against the light.
Before she could even react, the man was kicked aside with brutal force. He hit the ground with a grunt, gasping for breath, then his eyes rolled back and he went limp.
Ye Youyi lay there, unable to see clearly who had come to her rescue.
Then, a cool scent of snow pear filled her senses. Her chest tightened. She buried her face into her arms and began to sob soundlessly.
Under the moonlight, Wen Tang looked at the disheveled girl before her—her torn clothes, her tangled hair—and her vision reddened instantly.
Hearing footsteps and Wen Qi calling from outside, she quickly removed her jacket and draped it over Ye Youyi’s trembling shoulders. Her voice was cold and sharp: “Wen Qi, I’ll handle things here. Go clean up the mess. Don’t let a single person get away.”
The footsteps faded.
Wen Tang turned back to the girl still shaking uncontrollably. She reached out with careful hands, her throat tightening. In a voice soft as a caress, she murmured, “Don’t be afraid. I’m here now.”
Lifting Ye Youyi gently into her arms, she realized how weak and boneless the girl felt—her body limp, head resting feebly against Wen Tang’s chest.
When she felt the damp patch seeping through her shirt, Wen Tang’s throat ached. She stroked Ye Youyi’s head, smoothing her tangled hair strand by strand. “I’ll take you home.”
Ye Youyi let out a faint, pained whimper. The Alpha’s pheromones earlier had triggered her heat early—her body was burning up.
The moment Wen Tang smelled the lingering tobacco pheromones, she knew what was happening. She held Ye Youyi closer, letting her own snow-pear scent flow out, soothing the girl’s agitated body bit by bit.
At the doorway, she met Wen Qi, who was dressed in black and approaching quickly. Wen Tang’s eyes were icy. “I’m taking her to the hospital. You handle the rest.”
A helicopter waited on the nearby landing pad. Wen Tang strode toward it with long, steady steps. Once aboard, she ordered curtly, “To the hospital.”
As the rotors lifted them into the air, she turned her head to look down at the brightly lit Bai family estate below, her gaze growing colder by the second.
To think they had dared to bring Ye Youyi here. She should never have spared Bai Yuqing’s life in the first place. Now that woman had even conspired with Wen Xin to hurt Ye Youyi together.
The girl in her arms stirred weakly, discomfort etched on her face. Her hands looped around Wen Tang’s neck as her slender body shifted restlessly.
Wen Tang held her by the waist, afraid to squeeze too tightly for fear of hurting her again. But if she didn’t, the girl kept leaning in, her soft body pressing close, testing the limits of Wen Tang’s control.
Before long, sweat beaded on Wen Tang’s forehead.
Yet no matter how much her own body reacted, one glance at the bruises on Ye Youyi’s neck and the red mark where she’d been strangled wiped out every trace of desire, leaving only fury—fury toward Wen Xin, Bai Yuqing, and Lin Shuang.
By the time sunlight streamed through the window, the world had softened into the golden warmth of spring. It was gentle, like a mother’s touch on her child’s cheek.
In that tender light, Ye Youyi slowly opened her eyes.
All she saw was white. Her mind was hazy, not yet fully awake.
Then pain seeped through her body, and the memories rushed back—she, she had almost been marked by that disgusting Alpha.
The thought made her stomach twist. Ignoring the ache in her limbs, she rolled to the side and retched dryly into the trash bin beside the bed.
Outside, Wen Tang was speaking with the doctor. Hearing the noise inside, she immediately cut him off. “She’s awake. I’m going in.”
This hospital was owned by the Wen family, and the doctor knew exactly who she was. Seeing how much Wen Tang cared for the Omega inside, she could only sigh quietly and say nothing.
The news of the Wen–Ning engagement had already spread throughout both families. But looking at the way Wen Tang was now, it was clear—the person she truly cared about wasn’t the Ning family’s young lady at all.
Wen Tang pushed open the door and stepped into the ward.
Watching the girl bend over and retch, she hurriedly walked over and gently patted her back. “What’s wrong?”
The girl’s body trembled slightly before the dry heaving stopped. Slowly, she lifted her head, her eyes red and glistening with tears as she looked up at her. Seeing that expression, Wen Tang’s chest tightened painfully.
She poured a cup of warm water, sat by the bed, and helped Ye Youyi rinse her mouth. Then she brushed the stray strands of hair from her face, her touch soft and soothing.
But the fear in the girl’s eyes did not fade. Crystal tears rolled down her cheeks one after another.
Wen Tang sighed softly. She wiped away the tears with her thumb and pulled the girl gently into her arms.
The scent of pear blossoms that clung to Wen Tang enveloped Ye Youyi completely, gradually dispelling the panic that had taken root in her heart. The girl whimpered quietly, her small hands circling Wen Tang’s waist as she clutched the fabric of her clothes tightly, as if seeking warmth and safety.
Before long, the girl, exhausted from crying, let down her guard completely and fell into a deep sleep in Wen Tang’s embrace.
Listening to the even rhythm of her breathing, Wen Tang slowly laid her down on the bed. She gazed at her peaceful sleeping face and carefully wiped the tearstains from the corners of her eyes with her fingertips.
Just as she was about to get up, she noticed that the girl was still holding tightly onto her waist, like a frightened little creature terrified of being abandoned. Ye Youyi even shifted slightly closer to her in her sleep.
Wen Tang understood—she was utterly terrified, and what she needed most now was someone to stay by her side.
So, Wen Tang gently moved a little to the side, lay down beside her, and wrapped her once more in her arms.
A long time later, when Ye Youyi had fallen into deep sleep, Wen Tang’s phone, left on the table, suddenly rang.
She turned to silence the call immediately. Seeing that Ye Youyi hadn’t woken up, she rose quietly, took the phone, and stepped out of the room.
It was Aunt Mei calling. Frowning slightly, Wen Tang called back.
“Miss Wen? Are you busy right now?”
Her voice was cool. “What is it?”
“The Old Madam found out you went out last night and still haven’t returned. She wanted to ask when you’d have time to visit Miss Ning.”
Then Aunt Mei lowered her voice, glancing around cautiously before whispering, “Also, the commotion last night nearly alarmed the Old Madam. But don’t worry, I’ve already smoothed things over. For now, she doesn’t know what you were up to.”
At that, Wen Tang arched a brow and fell silent for a moment.
So that was it. She’d been wondering why the Old Madam hadn’t reacted at all—it turned out Aunt Mei had helped her cover it up.
Last night, after Wen Qi discovered that Wen Xin had colluded with Bai Yuqing and Lin Shuang to kidnap Ye Youyi, Wen Tang had immediately ordered Wen Qi to cut off Wen Xin’s communications, to avoid alerting her while she went to rescue Ye Youyi.
But during the rescue at the Bai family’s old estate, one of the female Alphas had still managed to leak the news.
Wen Tang had expected Wen Xin to run straight to the Old Madam once she realized Wen Tang had mobilized family resources.
She hadn’t expected that Aunt Mei would somehow stop her.
Still, whether Wen Xin tattled or not no longer mattered.
Everything Wen Tang had done was within her own rights—nothing out of bounds. Even if the Old Madam found out, the worst that would happen was that she’d realize Wen Tang’s return to the Wen family wasn’t as simple as it seemed and that Ye Youyi was her greatest weakness.
But Wen Tang would never again allow anyone to harm Ye Youyi. Not even the Old Madam.
As for Wen Xin—the mastermind behind Ye Youyi’s kidnapping.
Once Wen Tang had full control over the Wen family, she would make sure Wen Xin paid for what she’d done.
“The Old Madam was just asking about you,” Aunt Mei said worriedly. “You’d better come back soon.” She truly was wearing herself thin for this young lady—cleaning up her messes, appeasing the Old Madam—she only hoped that when
Miss Wen became the head of the family one day, she’d remember her efforts and treat her kindly.
Through the small crack in the door, Wen Tang glanced at the girl asleep in the hospital bed. She knew she had to leave again. “All right,” she said softly. “I’ll head back now.”
After hanging up, she returned to the room, looked at the sleeping girl, and leaned down to press a tender kiss to her forehead. Lifting her gaze, her eyes softened. “Wait for me,” she whispered.
Once she had taken care of everything, she would hold her again—and never let go.
When Wen Tang returned to the Wen residence, she parked the car in the garage and made her way toward the Old Madam’s courtyard.
Along the way, every servant she passed bowed slightly, a sign that word had already spread—she had officially come back to the Wen family.
From afar, Aunt Mei spotted her tall figure and quickly came forward to greet her. “Miss Wen, you’re back! The Old Madam just finished afternoon tea with Madam Ning and is watering the flowers in the back garden. I’ll take you there.”
Wen Tang inclined her head in acknowledgment—a silent gesture of gratitude for Aunt Mei’s help.
They walked together to the back garden, where the Old Madam and Madam Ning were seated beneath a sunshade, chatting and laughing amidst a sea of blossoms.
Wen Tang approached with calm composure and greeted them politely. “Grandmother, Madam Ning.”
The Old Madam looked her up and down, then gestured to the seat beside her. “Sit.”
Once Wen Tang was seated, the Old Madam smiled. “We were just talking about your engagement with Xiao Xu—and here you are. Isn’t that perfect timing?”
