Reborn a Scummy Alpha, Happily Ever After with the Movie Queen - Chapter 32
The night was intoxicating, and Wen Tang felt herself slipping even deeper into it with the soft, delicate sound of the girl’s voice.
She caught the girl’s restless hand and held it tightly in her palm.
“Be good. Don’t move.”
The wine’s aftereffects hit Ye Youyi hard. Her head was spinning, her whole body burning up.
The faint pear scent from the alpha beside her felt soothing, comforting. She rubbed her head lightly against Wen Tang’s shoulder and mumbled, “Wen Tang, take me home already please.”
The touch of skin against skin sent tingles through Wen Tang’s body. She quickly steadied the girl who was going limp in her arms. “Can you walk on your own?”
She was afraid that if the girl kept teasing her like this, she might really lose control.
But Ye Youyi only leaned closer again. When she didn’t catch the familiar pear fragrance, she bit her lip, eyes brimming with tears as she whispered pitifully, “You don’t like me anymore.”
Wen Tang: “?”
How on earth did that come up?
Was this how a drunk person’s brain worked?
Seeing the glimmer of tears welling in those big eyes, Wen Tang’s defenses crumbled. “I don’t dislike you. How could I ever dislike you? You’re so adorable—how could I bear to?”
The moment the alpha coaxed her, Ye Youyi’s expression brightened. She threw herself into Wen Tang’s arms again. “You made me mad just now, so you have to carry me over there.”
At that point, Wen Tang didn’t dare risk the girl getting upset again. She forced herself to ignore the soft, hot body pressed against her, and the faint milky scent that clung so temptingly to her.
She sighed quietly, brushed a hand over Ye Youyi’s hair, then bent down and lifted her into her arms.
Carrying her to the car, Wen Tang opened the door and gently settled the girl into the passenger seat.
Ye Youyi’s eyes were half-lidded now, gaze hazy and unfocused. Wen Tang brushed aside the strands of hair clinging to her cheek and carefully buckled her seatbelt.
The car moved smoothly through the quiet night. To keep Ye Youyi from feeling any worse, Wen Tang didn’t drive fast.
After a while, a soft voice rose beside her. “Wen Tang.”
Wen Tang turned her head slightly, her tone gentle. “I’m here.”
“Can I stay at your place tonight?”
The words nearly made Wen Tang slam on the brakes.
She didn’t dare look at her. “What, what did you just say?”
Her voice was uncertain, hesitant. Ye Youyi leaned back against the seat, half-awake, her gaze fixed on Wen Tang’s tense jawline.
“I said, can I stay with you tonight.” Her voice trembled faintly, fragile and pleading.
This time, Wen Tang heard it clearly. She pressed her lips together, silent for a long while before saying softly, “Your Qiu Qiu is waiting for you at home. Don’t make her worry, okay? If you want to see me, I’ll come find you first thing in the morning, alright?”
Ye Youyi’s muddled mind suddenly conjured up Qiu Qiu’s teasing words.
“If you want to know whether she likes you, it’s simple. Go to her place, sleep in her bed, tease her a little. If she gets all worked up but still holds herself back, that means she really cares about you.”
The memory gave Ye Youyi a flicker of courage.
“Qiu Qiu already went home. I’m all alone and I’m scared.”
Her small, trembling voice struck directly at Wen Tang’s heart, leaving her unable to refuse.
The system that had been silently watching finally spoke in her mind:
“Didn’t you two already share a bed before? What are you afraid of? You think that delicate little Omega is going to eat you alive?”
Wen Tang was speechless. “That’s different. Can’t you see she’s drunk tonight?”
“Tsk, tsk. I’ve heard of people losing control after drinking, but it’s the Omega who’s drunk, not you. Are you saying you can’t control yourself?”
Wen Tang didn’t answer—but deep down, she wasn’t sure she could. If Ye Youyi kept tempting her like this, she really might lose control.
“Even if you send her home, will you really feel at ease leaving her alone like that?”
That, she couldn’t argue with.
Wen Tang glanced at the girl, who had already drifted half-asleep, her lashes trembling faintly. After struggling with herself for a long moment, she decided it was safer to take her home.
At least she could look after her. And besides, she was already falling asleep—surely she’d just go straight to bed once they got there.
With that settled, Wen Tang turned the wheel and headed toward her apartment complex.
Once she parked in the garage, she opened the passenger door and carefully gathered the sleeping girl into her arms.
She carried her all the way upstairs, quiet and steady, afraid of waking her.
In the soft bedroom light, Ye Youyi lay on the bed, her brows still faintly knitted even in sleep. Wen Tang’s gaze softened. She brushed a hand gently across her cheek.
After a moment, she remembered how particular Ye Youyi was about cleanliness—she would never go to sleep without washing up. So, Wen Tang fetched a basin of warm water and a clean towel.
She wrung out the towel and carefully wiped the girl’s face, her hands, then her delicate feet.
As if soothed, Ye Youyi’s frown slowly relaxed. She turned over, hugging the quilt to her chest with a faint, sleepy murmur. Wen Tang smiled helplessly. “You really are a little clean-freak kitten.”
She ruffled her hair affectionately, then carried the basin out.
The lights in the living room were dim. After washing up herself, Wen Tang walked quietly to the bedroom door. Seeing Ye Youyi sleeping soundly, she whispered, “Goodnight.”
Just as she was about to close the door, a small voice called out.
“Wen Tang.”
“Mm?” Wen Tang opened the door again, listening carefully, thinking the girl might be talking in her sleep.
But when there was no reply, Ye Youyi murmured again, “Wen Tang.”
She shifted slightly, half opening her eyes toward the thin beam of light by the door. Her voice trembled softly. “Wen Tang, I’m scared.”
Wen Tang quickly stepped inside, took her hand. “Don’t be afraid. I’m here.”
Even half-asleep, Ye Youyi’s grip was strong, refusing to let her go.
“Will you sleep next to me?” Her tone was pleading, almost childlike.
Wen Tang hesitated for a moment, then nodded. “Alright.”
It wasn’t until she lay down that Wen Tang realized she had given in again.
As soon as she pulled the blanket over them, the girl shifted closer. A small hand reached out and brushed against her.
Wen Tang’s body went stiff; she instinctively inched away.
But Ye Youyi followed, closing the distance again, wrapping an arm firmly around her waist.
That faint milky sweetness filled Wen Tang’s senses, heat rising through her body, the glands at her nape tingling faintly.
And just as she thought the girl would simply fall asleep like this, something warm and damp brushed her neck.
Wen Tang froze instantly—she knew exactly what that sensation was.
Her mind went blank. She didn’t dare move.
Then came another soft, lingering kiss, tracing from her neck up along her jaw, until a trembling tongue brushed lightly across her chin—then stopped right at her lips.
“Ye, Ye Youyi?”
Having been kissed once before, Wen Tang now wasn’t sure if Ye Youyi was really asleep—or drunk at all.
But the only response was a low, sleepy hum.
Her scalp tingled, her heart raced. She meant to gently push the girl away—only for Ye Youyi to cup her face and pull her down, pressing another soft kiss to her lips under the dim, hazy light.
Unlike the fleeting peck from last time, this kiss lingered—clumsy, trembling, but achingly sincere.
The faint sweetness of milk and the taste of wine on the girl’s lips drew Wen Tang in completely. When Ye Youyi shyly flicked her tongue against her teeth, Wen Tang snapped back to her senses.
She turned her head aside and gently but firmly flipped their positions, pinning the girl beneath her.
Under the soft glow of the lamp, she looked down at Ye Youyi’s flushed face. Her voice came out low and husky. “Ye Youyi, do you know what you’re doing right now?”
Ye Youyi’s eyes were hazy, her tongue grazing her lips as she whispered breathlessly, “Wen Tang, why won’t you kiss me.”
Her half-lidded gaze, her breathy voice, her trembling lips—everything about her was dangerously enticing.
Wen Tang swallowed hard, fighting the rush of heat building inside her. “You’re drunk. I can’t take advantage of you.”
“Go to sleep, okay?”
The girl didn’t look like she was pretending to be drunk, which helped Wen Tang finally breathe easier.
“Just one kiss, kiss me, and I’ll go to sleep.” Ye Youyi tilted her head up, her lips brushing near Wen Tang’s.
Wen Tang closed her eyes. She couldn’t resist Ye Youyi’s soft pleading—or the faint hope stirring in her own heart.
Opening her eyes again, she met the girl’s gaze, her eyes drifting toward those soft lips.
In the dim light, their shadows leaned closer, closer still.
When her lips met the girl’s, all thought fled her mind. Wen Tang poured herself into the kiss—slow, gentle, tender—tracing the shape of Ye Youyi’s lips bit by bit.
As their mouths deepened together, their breaths grew uneven.
Listening to the girl’s soft, trembling sighs, Wen Tang sank deeper into the haze. She left the girl’s lips only to kiss along the slender curve of her neck, tasting the smooth warmth of her skin again and again.
“Mmm.”
Guided by instinct, Wen Tang’s lips brushed lower, toward the nape of her neck. When she felt the pulse of the Omega’s gland beneath her tongue, her fangs ached faintly—longing to bite down.
But the girl’s soft whimper snapped the last thread of her restraint.
Wen Tang froze, her reason returning in a rush.
She drew a shaky breath and shut her eyes.
