Reborn a Scummy Alpha, Happily Ever After with the Movie Queen - Chapter 3
That means it won’t affect the storyline at all!
Wen Tang smacked Yang-ge’s hand away, and before he could react, she drove her foot into him, sending him flying.
Without sparing a glance at the chaos behind her, she yanked open the door of the private room and bolted out.
“Are you alright?” the system’s voice echoed in her mind.
Suppressing the discomfort in her body, Wen Tang hurried down the corridor she had come from. “Zuo Xiaojiao’s pheromones got to me. My susceptibility period might be coming early.”
Back in the room, the moment Zuo Xiaojiao’s scent had spread, her whole body had gone tight and restless, something pulsing at the back of her neck, instantly rousing the dormant desire within her.
It was the first time since entering this world that she had felt the raw force of pheromones—her first taste of just how unbearable it was for an Alpha under an Omega’s influence.
“Go to the restroom and put on a suppressant patch. If your pheromones leak out, you’ll trigger an Omega rut,” the system warned. It knew just how disastrous that could be. But Wen Tang, new to this world, likely didn’t realize what chaos could follow if a group of Omegas went into heat at once.
Hearing this, Wen Tang also grasped the severity of the situation. After asking a server where the restroom was, she quickly headed in that direction.
The server glanced at the flushed Alpha and wondered: why would this customer leave the private room alone just to use the restroom outside? Hmm… after all, the restrooms out here were usually for… less convenient Alpha–Omega matters…
But that wasn’t her concern.
Retracting her gaze, she lifted her tray and walked toward the private room. Just as she reached the door, the manager’s sharp voice rang out:
“Quick! Find her now! Don’t let her escape!”
She turned to see the manager leading a group of people straight her way. She tried to step aside, but his voice landed right above her head:
“You! Did you see a long-haired female Alpha just now?”
Long-haired female Alpha?
The server thought of the woman from earlier and nodded. “Yes. A long-haired Alpha went toward the restroom.”
At that, the manager waved his hand and rushed with his men in that direction.

In her haste, Wen Tang hadn’t noticed the “Female Omega” sign outside and slipped into the nearest restroom. She ducked into a stall, fumbling in her bag for the suppressant patches the body’s original owner always carried.
Following the system’s instructions, she stuck one onto the glands at the back of her neck with trembling hands.
The haze lifted a little, but soon enough, the hunger within her began to stir again.
She pushed the door open, intending to leave quickly.
But the moment she stepped out, she collided with a petite woman.
A wave of fragrance hit her nose, leaving her dizzy. Blood rushed hot through her veins as if a spark had set her ablaze, burning her from the inside out.
The woman quickly shoved her away. Wen Tang, struggling against the roaring urge inside, lifted her eyes. “Sorry—”
“You?!” The woman’s tear-brimmed eyes widened in shock.
Through her blurred vision, Wen Tang recognized her.
It was Ye Youyi.
“What’s wrong with you?” Ye Youyi saw the redness around her eyes, the tightly restrained expression.
Then she caught the faint trace of snow pear in the air.
Could it be… Wen Tang’s susceptibility period?
From outside came muffled voices: “Check over here… careful, don’t disturb the guests…”
“They’re looking for you!” the system hissed in her head.
Wen Tang heard it too. But her body was already on the edge, and with an Omega standing right in front of her, she was barely holding herself back from lunging.
The footsteps grew closer. She knew she wouldn’t be able to hide much longer.
“You need to leave. They’re after me,” she said, looking at Ye Youyi’s tear-streaked face. “Don’t get dragged into this.”
Ye Youyi bit her lip.
By nature, she should turn around and walk away, keep herself safe. An Alpha in susceptibility was dangerous, after all. But those fox-like eyes, reddened as if dusted with rouge, tugged at her heart, freezing her steps.
She took a deep breath. This person had saved her last night. If she abandoned her now, no matter how cold she thought herself, she would regret it later.
So, in one swift motion, she grasped the Alpha’s burning arm, stepped closer, and looped her arms around Wen Tang’s neck.
The sweet snow pear scent was intoxicating, like iced pear syrup on a sweltering summer day. Thankfully, the suppressant kept most of it in check, and she managed to stay clear-headed.
She leaned closer, whispering softly against Wen Tang’s ear: “You saved me once. This time, let me save you.”
Her cool breath brushed Wen Tang’s neck, like spring wind rippling across still water.
Wen Tang jolted, instinct urging her to push the Omega away.
But Ye Youyi only tightened her hold, locking her firmly in her arms. Wen Tang melted against the softness of her embrace.
Outside, voices grew nearer. Acting quickly, Ye Youyi gathered Wen Tang’s long hair, twisted it up behind her head, and tugged open her collar. When her gaze brushed over the Alpha’s pale collarbone, she averted her eyes and murmured: “I’m not that kind of Omega. I’m only doing this to protect you. Control yourself…”
Wen Tang understood what she meant. The glands at her nape throbbed painfully, her mind consumed by a single thought: claim the Omega in her arms.
She ripped off her jacket and let it fall to the ground.
“Hey! What are you doing?! That’s out of character!” the system shrieked in panic.
The words snapped her halfway back to her senses—only for the Omega to pull her in again.
Her face pressed into Ye Youyi’s shoulder, the soft skin against her cheek. She inhaled deeply.
A faint milky sweetness lingered in the air.
It sharpened her hunger. Wen Tang wrapped her arm around the Omega’s waist, pressing her against her chest on pure instinct.
Ye Youyi flushed scarlet, biting her lip as soft whimpers escaped her throat.
Their pheromones wove together, thin threads intertwining. Clothes slipped to the floor. To anyone walking in, it would look as though the two were swept up in passion.
And then—
The restroom door banged open. A round-faced Omega peeked in, froze at the sight of the “entangled” pair, and quickly shut the door again. “Sorry, sorry.”
On her way back, she thought: that woman wouldn’t still be hiding here after hitting Young Master Yang and running. And certainly not doing that in a restroom. No, the ones inside couldn’t be who they were looking for.
As the footsteps outside faded, Ye Youyi shoved Wen Tang away.
She rubbed at her neck where the Alpha had bitten, trying to erase the marks, as if denying she had ever yielded. “They’re gone. You should leave now. And from now on—we’re even.”
With her heart pounding, she turned to go.
But before she could escape, a hand caught her arm.
“Sorry, I lost control.” Wen Tang shook her head, forcing herself into clarity. “And… thank you. If you ever need help, just ask.”
She released her hand.

Once she slipped out of Silverlight undetected, Wen Tang took a cab back to the apartment the body’s owner had bought.
She couldn’t return to the Wen family estate in her current state. Old Madam Wen would definitely dig into what she’d been up to.
An Alpha’s susceptibility period varied in length. Without marking an Omega, enduring it alone was torture. But a special suppressant injection helped significantly.
The apartment was well-stocked.
After using one, Wen Tang finally regained full clarity.
Sprawled on the sofa, she replayed what had happened at Silverlight. Ye Youyi’s image in her arms rose unbidden, and she smacked her forehead. “So this is the Alpha instinct?”
The system, dripping with sarcasm, chuckled. “Oh, you dare to complain? I was yelling at you not to break character, and what did you do? Went straight for her neck!”
