Pregnant With the Villain Boss’ Baby - Chapter 15
In this drama, Yun Mu played the female Omega lead—a doctor. Clad in her white lab coat, her makeup didn’t just highlight her professional side; it accentuated her natural allure, making her look even more captivating.
After all, her character was designed that way: the most beautiful, hottest, and most capable female doctor in the medical world.
Feng Cen played the male lead, a space pirate—a high-ranking Alpha with a massive bounty on his head. The plot centered on the romantic entanglements between the doctor and the pirate. Yun Mu had read the script and found it brilliant. The characters were vivid; the doctor loved and hated with equal passion, and the pirate was deeply devoted.
She believed in the potential of this project. It wasn’t like those typical idol dramas or campus stories filled with “Mary Sues,” overbearing CEOs, or “White Lotus” characters that all felt the same. Despite being set in a futuristic interstellar era, mindless tropes were still quite popular. However, Yun Mu never took those roles; they lacked challenge. If a female lead did nothing but cry, scream, and act foolish, she had no distinct personality, and such fame rarely lasted.
Most importantly, this doctor role suited Yun Mu perfectly. She wasn’t the stereotypical “fragile Omega.” This doctor was smart, tough, and a total badass who could blow an enemy’s head off without hesitation—a trait Yun Mu found particularly satisfying.
“Yun Mu, over here!” Luo Ling waved to her. In a corner, several soft chairs and a small table had been set up, topped with scripts and props.
Yun Mu wasn’t the only one getting special treatment; other areas had similar setups. Assistants and managers stood by to ensure the stars had a place to rest between takes.
“Has Director Peng said when we’re starting?” Yun Mu asked.
“Almost. We’re about to take the promotional photos. Once everyone is ready, we’ll kick off,” Luo Ling explained.
Yun Mu sat down, only to see Youying move closer to her side. This person really likes to stick to me, she thought.
“Sister Yun!” a voice chirped. A delicate-looking girl around Tong Wenwen’s age ran over, dressed in lively, youthful clothes with her hair tied in a bouncy ponytail. She dashed straight to Yun Mu.
“Lin Mi, long time no see.” Yun Mu patted the girl’s head.
Lin Mi was in the same agency as Yun Mu but had started as a child star. With famous actors as parents, she had a solid foundation in the industry. In this drama, she played the second female lead—the protagonist’s younger sister. A fresh college student, her character gets swept up in the conflict because of her sister’s romance. Though she faces danger and is taken hostage, she eventually finds her Alpha and lives happily ever after.
The two had worked together many times. Lin Mi was a well-protected little Omega. Yun Mu often wondered if Lin Mi could have remained so innocent if she were in the cutthroat entertainment industry of her previous life.
“Sister Yun, we’re working together again! I—” Lin Mi’s words were cut short by a hand pinching her cheek.
A woman with a “storm is coming” expression appeared. She was an exquisite beauty—not quite at Yun Mu’s level, but certainly more striking than many stars present. This was Lin Mi’s manager, Wang Danyan.
Rumor had it Danyan’s background was similar to Lin Mi’s, but when Lin Mi chose acting, she became her manager. Yun Mu didn’t pry into their personal dynamic; she preferred to let others keep their secrets.
“Yan…”
“Miss Yun, long time no see. I’m glad we’re working together again. I need to have a ‘talk’ with Lin Mi now; we’ll catch up later.” Wang Danyan wore a gentle smile, embodying the “elegant older sister” vibe, but the pulsing vein on her forehead was hard to ignore.
“Eeeek! Sister Yun, save me!” Yun Mu watched as Lin Mi reached out a desperate hand before being dragged away into a corner.
“Hahaha! Lin Mi is something else. Even someone as gentle as Sister Danyan can be pushed to that point,” Tong Wenwen giggled, covering her mouth.
“You’re not much better,” Yun Mu said, pressing a hand to her forehead. Does this girl have no self-awareness?
“I am not! I’m the most well-behaved,” Wenwen said, turning to Luo Ling for validation.
Spoiler: She wasn’t. Yun Mu felt a cold sweat.
Luo Ling watched Wenwen in silence. Wenwen eventually looked away guiltily. Sometimes silence speaks louder than words, and Wenwen’s ego took a visible hit.
“We’re starting! Everyone, get ready!” Director Peng’s voice echoed through the set.
“Time for me to go.” Yun Mu smoothed her clothes and headed toward the stage.
“Luo-Luo, let’s go watch Sister Yun!” Wenwen excitedly pulled on Luo Ling’s arm to follow.
Youying watched them leave. She made a few quick gestures in the air, seemingly sending a message, then lowered her hand and followed at a slow pace.
“Come on, Xiao Yun, Feng Cen. Lead actors first for the photos,” Director Peng signaled.
Feng Cen stepped forward. He was dressed in what looked like a snug military uniform, all in black, with a laser pistol and a laser sword strapped to his waist. The makeup added a rugged, bloody edge to his scholarly features.
“You look quite good,” Yun Mu complimented him.
“You look stunning too,” Feng Cen replied, his eyes lighting up.
As a doctor, the white lab coat was essential, but underneath, Yun Mu wore a strapless, low-cut fitted top, a black pencil skirt, tights, and dark red heels. It was simple, but on her, the combination was lethal—the perfect “forbidden” doctor look. Feng Cen found himself even more excited for their scenes.
“Alright, pose for the camera. Stand at the mark,” Director Peng said after their brief exchange.
Following the photographer’s instructions, Feng Cen leaned against a wall, head tilted and eyes half-closed. A special effect was added to his avatar, making him appear covered in blood and gravely injured—as if he had passed out.
The effects in the Cloud World were impressive; actors didn’t need real fake blood to look messy, though they still wore physical costumes to stay in character. Fully virtual outfits were a custom luxury that would double the production budget, so the standard method was real clothes plus digital effects.
Yun Mu knelt on one knee before Feng Cen, her hand lightly cupping his face. Her eyes showed a mix of shock and confusion, perfectly capturing the moment the doctor first encounters the pirate.
“Good, good! Just like that!” The camera flashed repeatedly.
“Change poses! Yes, like that!”
“Mmhmm… get a little closer, more intimate…”
“Oh! That’s the vibe!”
By now, Yun Mu and Feng Cen were pressed together. Yun Mu’s head rested on Feng Cen’s shoulder while his hand circled her slender waist. They looked like a devoted couple gazing at the sky, filled with sweetness and longing.
The staff nearby were mesmerized. Some even wiped away non-existent drool. It was a feast for the eyes.
However, while others were enamored, Luo Ling and Tong Wenwen felt like they were standing in a furnace. Why? Because the person beside them, Youying, was radiating an icy, murderous aura so intense it made their skin prickle.
Cr-crack… Youying’s hand was resting against the wall behind her. As her fingers tensed, cracks began to spiderweb out from the center of her palm.
Luo Ling & Tong Wenwen: Is she planning to tear the building down?
Youying’s eyes were locked onto Feng Cen. She was supposed to be just “observing,” but she felt a profound sense of discomfort. Seeing that tiny gap between them made her restless, filling her with a desperate urge to tear them apart and pummel that Alpha.
Ding… A sudden notification sound rang in her ear. Youying’s body stiffened, and she quickly turned and walked out.
Her departure allowed Luo Ling and Wenwen to breathe again. They had been terrified she was about to cause a scene. Looking at the five deep finger-holes and the fine cracks in the wall, they realized Youying was not someone to be trifled with.
Luo Ling: I need to give Yun Mu a warning.
Tong Wenwen: How can I matchmake my favorites without getting murdered?
