Our Summer Isn't Over Yet - Chapter 15 (R19)
Mia was silent for a moment, trying to understand Dylan’s words. She couldn’t understand why he was asking her this when it wasn’t something that required her opinion. After pondering, Mia slowly opened her mouth. “I only said it because I’m leaving, but you have to stay and live here. There’s no harm in preparing in advance, thinking about that time.”
With a painted smile, Mia met Dylan’s eyes and continued, “Your stubbornness, I didn’t understand it at first, but I’m glad I did as you said. If we had divorced right away, it seems like you would have been in quite a bit of trouble.”
It might have been a paltry bit of sympathy. Even though she felt she didn’t need to worry about it that much, she always felt a sense of empathy for Dylan, as if she felt a sense of kinship. “It also feels like it’s not right to leave you alone in a difficult situation just for my own comfort.”
Each time she parted her lips, her heart ached. Mia forced herself to ignore the sensation and smiled. “Wouldn’t it be good for you if many people gave you strength? Above all, you and I will be divorced, so if you build relationships with many people in preparation for that time, your life will be peaceful afterward.”
Dylan’s eyebrows twitched upward once. If he had no intention of doing so at all, he would have told Mia to stop talking and leave, but the fact that he was still listening meant that he, too, was considering the succession. “After the divorce, there will be many rumors. If many people are on your side, it will be easier to bring in a new Duchess afterward.”
“Mia.”
“Of course, it will be difficult to get married right away, but it will be possible in a month or two.” Mia’s hand clenched tightly as she spoke. “Whatever it is, having time is a good thing in many ways.”
That was enough. Dylan was smart and would have clearly understood the purpose of what she was saying. Anything more would be excessive meddling. She also knew that it wasn’t necessary. “If I may add a little of my own thoughts, how about looking for someone to bring in as Duchess in advance, as it might be a bit confusing at that time?”
Now, Dylan let out a burst of laughter as if he was dumbfounded. He stared at Mia with his lips tightly shut, as if to see how far her remarks would go. “If you bring someone in hastily, it might not be helpful to you, and there will be many complicated property issues and entanglements, so it’s better to find someone in advance.”
A hollow breath escaped from Dylan’s lips. “Since you’re not familiar with society, I can organize a list of young ladies from each family and pass it on to you.”
He put down the fountain pen he was holding. Immediately after the clack sound, Dylan’s mouth opened. His subdued voice was enough to make the office, where the summer sun was shining in, feel chilly. “Before that, why don’t I at least get to know them and arrange a meeting myself?”
At his words, Mia pictured Dylan drinking tea with a young lady she didn’t even know. The woman sitting next to him would be smiling without a hint of shadow, and the corners of his lips would be relaxed as well.
In that instant, Mia felt her heart sink. It was obvious that someone would come to his side if she disappeared, but why did she feel so unpleasant? Mia, who had crammed in unnecessary thoughts, gently raised the corners of her lips. “That wouldn’t be bad either. Shall we invite them to the residence and arrange a meeting?”
As she spoke, her throat felt ticklish and nauseous. Mia’s gaze naturally went down. Surprised by the sound of teeth grinding, she raised her head to see his blue eyes sunken. Mia’s body stiffened at the more ominous energy than usual. Dylan got up from his seat without saying anything and headed for the office door at a leisurely pace.
Dylan placed his hand on the doorknob. Was he going to tell her to leave? The moment she thought that, she heard a click sound and the door was locked. As she tilted her head in confusion, a suppressed voice pierced Mia. “What wife in the world would arrange such a meeting for her husband?”
“Did it feel like I was forcing you? That wasn’t my intention.”
Dylan’s attitude was somehow different from usual. Mia hurriedly took a step back, but he didn’t seem to have any intention of ending this conversation, and before she knew it, he had strode up to Mia and stood in front of her.
They were so close that their breaths mingled. Mia flinched, caught by his gaze. Dylan roughly took off his tightly fastened coat and placed it on the desk. It was an action that couldn’t be seen from him, who preferred neat attire. As she was also wondering about this, she heard sarcasm from Dylan’s mouth.
“Did Miss Mia Blair not understand my words?”
“Dylan.”
“I think I said what kind of relationship I would have with you just a few days ago.”
Mia’s brow furrowed slightly at his subdued anger. “Why are you angry?”
“Why would I be angry?”
Dylan couldn’t even hide his emotions. Mia sighed briefly and pushed his chest. Whatever the reason, there was no point in provoking him further. “I was too nosy. I’m sorry, we’re not even in that kind of relationship.”
“Ha-.”
“More than that, it would be better to talk a little further apart.”
Despite her request, Dylan moved his body closer. There was a desk right behind her, so there was nowhere else to retreat. “What are you doing?”
As her butt touched the desk, Mia, who didn’t want to be pushed back any further, put her hands behind her and maintained a straight posture. At that moment, her gaze dropped down as she felt a hot sensation pressing against her stomach.
“…!”
It wasn’t difficult to know what the foreign sensation was. His pants couldn’t hide the ominous energy. “Just a moment.”
Mia, whose spine tingled at the memory of being abused by Dylan not long ago, groped his chest.
He clearly seemed upset, but why was he getting so worked up in this situation? He seriously wondered if Dylan had some kind of sexual fetish. “Mia.” Unlike his restrained voice, his ferocious member pressed against Mia’s lower body, clearly leaving its mark.
“If you don’t understand, memorize it.” Mia’s face flushed. As she tried to turn away, embarrassed, Dylan’s low, calm voice filled her ears. “The fact that you and I are husband and wife.”
Dylan met Mia’s frozen gaze at his words. Her clear green eyes, like a forest, were filled with confusion. It was a look of unfamiliarity, as if she didn’t know where his anger stemmed from.
That fact made Dylan’s insides boil again. Without another word, he placed his hand on the sky-blue ribbon that Mia had tied herself, just below her chest.
It came undone softly, without any resistance. As the embarrassment seemed to fade, he faced Mia again, who was now passively letting him do as he pleased, and the unpleasant thoughts from before naturally began to fill his head.
Who are you bringing in? Who are you introducing? Dylan, holding her shoulders without hurting her, turned Mia around and pushed her onto the desk. Caught off guard, she lay face down on the desk, twisting slightly, but there was no way to escape because of Dylan behind her. It wasn’t hard to guess where her words had come from.
It must have been from those nobles earlier. They wanted Richard to inherit the title and tried to persuade Dylan, but he had no intention of agreeing.
In the first place, after a year, Dylan was planning to leave the capital with Mia. He would give up his position as admiral and Richard’s position, and live with Mia in a place where no one else was, so those things had no meaning to him. “Dylan!” He pulled down her clothes. Until then, she had been reacting slightly, but now she twisted her body and showed her shock.
“Why are you calling me?” Mia’s shimmering hair was scattered on the desk where he always worked.
Like grains of sand shining in the sunlight, her hair was dazzling. Dylan fixed his gaze on her hair for a moment. Mia’s body stiffened as if she had noticed his blatant gaze, but he didn’t care.
“What are you trying to do here?” He scanned her body with dark, sunken eyes. Impulsive thoughts continued to jump around. He wanted to grab a handful of that hair and run it through his fingers. He also wanted to slowly savor the texture of her hair. While he was lost in thought, Mia thrashed on the clothes he had laid out in advance. Clothes and documents were scattered. “It seems you don’t know much about our relationship yet.” Dylan pressed her down. “I’m going to show you.”
The shadow cast over Mia, as if to devour her, put even more pressure on her. He wasn’t making eye contact, but he could easily guess what thoughts were going through her little head.
She’s probably going to try to run away, but I won’t let her. Mia’s body stiffened at his forceful actions. While rubbing and pressing her back, Dylan unbuckled his belt. He released his engorged member, which had been throbbing since earlier, causing a pain in the back of his head. The penis, springing upwards, was menacingly erect and red as if it would burst at any moment.
He pushed his member between Mia’s thighs, which were trembling like a small animal caught in a trap.
As he brought Mia’s thighs together with his hands, she tensed up. He let out a languid breath at the pleasant pressure of her soft flesh. With his hips pressed against hers, Dylan began to move back and forth, using his waist. As he moved slowly, her fair skin repeatedly pushed in and out.
A soft moan escaped Mia’s lips as Dylan’s penis grazed her vulva.
