Qin Yu and Tang Ruibai met during their humble beginnings. In a tiny rented room costing only five hundred yuan, they watched movies together. In the quiet of the night, their old bed creaked incessantly, and after exhaustion took over, they would nestle together to share a single cigarette.
Back then, they were both struggling actors running between different film sets. They never talked about love, yet those were their sweetest days.
Later, Qin Yu shot to fame with the film Yebai and became a sought-after Best Actress in the industry. Tang Ruibai asked her for the first time: “If I never make it big, will we still stay together?”
In the backstage of an awards ceremony, Qin Yu kissed her slender back and promised: “I will make you famous. I’ll make you known across the entire country so the whole world knows Tang Ruibai.”

That night, the news dominated the trending searches. Qin Yu sent Tang Ruibai a message: “Should we… try again?” To her shock, the next day brought news of Tang Ruibai’s passing.
Qin Yu attended her funeral but collapsed as she walked out of the cemetery. When she opened her eyes again, she had turned back into a seventeen-year-old girl. It was a time before her parents had passed away, and before she had ever met Tang Ruibai.

Tang Ruibai had a long dream where Qin Yu loved her just as she had always imagined. So, she opened her eyes and suddenly kissed Qin Yu so hard her lip bled. Then… she ran away at the speed of light. She wanted to leave Qin Yu before Qin Yu could grow to hate her.
