One day, Qi Ying discovered a “nurturing” app on her phone. The virtual protagonist, Xing Xiaochu, was a pitiful soul: her scumbag father abused her, forced her to drop out of school, and tried to marry the 18-year-old Omega off to an old Alpha just to carry on the family line. Refusing to submit, Xing Xiaochu ran away and was left sobbing against a wall in the pouring rain.
Following the game’s prompts, Qi Ying “brought” her home and began pouring her heart into raising Xiaochu. Thinking it was just a game, Qi Ying was curious to see who Xiaochu would become. She took her to see doctors, shared meals with her, and cared for her devotedly. Her most frequent phrase was: “Your mother entrusted me to take care of you.”
Xing Xiaochu feared that Qi Ying was only kind to her because of her mother. But a chance encounter revealed that Qi Ying was actually physically moved by her pheromones. Xiaochu realized there was another way to stay by Qi Ying’s side forever.
That night, Xing Xiaochu washed herself clean and crawled into Qi Ying’s bed…
Then, the 2D character Qi Ying had been raising for so long suddenly vanished from the app.
Not long after, on a rainy night, Qi Ying found a drenched young girl squatting by her front door. Seeing Qi Ying, Xing Xiaochu looked up, ran over, and crashed into her arms.
Shivering and crying, she clung to Qi Ying and sobbed, “Sister, where is this? I’m so scared…”
Qi Ying: “…” It seems the “Paper Wife” she was raising in her phone has come out to find her.
