My Secret Flower - Episode 24
I knew it wasn’t a matter of deep connection. The problem was the thrill that engulfed me countless times. When I became faint from the unbearable sensation, my whole body would stiffen and become rigid. I even felt respect for all the married women in this world.
How could they do that kind of thing all night and then go about their day as if nothing happened!
The bigger problem was that man’s inexhaustible stamina. Just looking at his solid physique, I could easily guess that he had great swordsmanship skills. But that tremendous power wasn’t made to be used for this kind of thing.
Of course, that’s not to say it’s bad. It was like realizing that the saying “the stronger the thighs, the better the stamina” was true.
Whenever yesterday’s memories flashed through my mind, I kept getting breathless. The sensations were still quite vivid, making my body tingle. It was the first time in my life I’d felt this way, so my lips kept drying out.
[Here? Lishua, is this how you want it?]
[Ah, no, ungh…!]
I didn’t remember the situation clearly, but I couldn’t forget a single reaction left in the nerves of my entire body.
Me, floundering in a pleasure that was both painful and joyful. Even the countless stimuli that made me writhe like a butterfly shedding its skin.
[Do you know what, Lishua?]
[Ah, I don’t know. I don’t know, I don’t know. It’s hard…!]
[I can tell you’re having a hard time, so I’m not moving yet.]
But then, as soon as I seemed to have rested a bit, he would start moving again without warning. I couldn’t let my guard down because I didn’t know when he would start again.
Unlike my anxious self, his lips, wearing a very relaxed smile, landed on my shoulder.
[Despite saying it’s hard, you’re not letting go of me. It’s just as difficult for me. Why are you so lovely? This hunger isn’t going away at all, so it’s very hard for me.]
He probably didn’t know how chilling that murmur was. There was one thing I realized for sure the more we did it: his lust was endless.
‘I need to find out about foods that reduce stamina.’
It would be a problem if he found out I was thinking that. The sex with him was good, but I needed to survive first. I gave Ash a shy smile as he sat next to me and tucked my hair behind my ear.
Soon, the butler brought the main course and wine. Exhausted from the intense night until late dawn, I put aside all pretense and focused on filling my hungry stomach. Occasionally, Evelyn would give me a knowing smile that said, “I know what you did last night,” and the food in my mouth almost made a reappearance.
When I was somewhat finished with my meal, the butler quietly entered and bowed to me.
“Lady, they caught someone who appears to be a petty thief in the territory last night.”
“Who is it? One of the territory’s residents?”
“According to the report, it’s someone who started staying in the territory after the plague last year. So, they’re asking the Count to make the disposition himself.”
Father hadn’t returned yet, so I had to go as his proxy. Even though I’d replenished my nutrients, my legs still wouldn’t move as I wanted them to.
As I was wondering what to do, Ash stood up from his seat without hesitation.
“Lishua, would it be alright if I went to check instead?”
“Alone?”
“I’ll take that guy with me to teach him a lesson.”
At Ash’s gesture, pointing his chin at Pavilion, Pavilion’s brow furrowed. He seemed quite displeased to be treated like a child by his brother.
However, he didn’t express any particular dissatisfaction and obediently got up and followed Ash. Before leaving, his blue eyes, which had swept over me and Evelyn once, sparkled luminously and trembled softly. He seemed to have something to say, but he hesitated and just left.
‘It looked like he had something to say to Bring, not me.’
After the two men left with the butler, I turned my head and met Evelyn’s gaze. I narrowed my eyes at Evelyn, who was just smiling brightly, and questioned her in a quiet voice.
“What happened between you and Pavilion?”
“No? What do you mean? I don’t even think about touching a man unless he’s head over heels for me.”
“That’s a relief then.”
“You’re the one who’s being too much. I’m still a guest, but is it okay for the host to neglect two guests like that? The second floor was so hot that you’d get burned just going near it.”
Hit right on the mark, I covered my flushed cheeks with my palms and smacked my lips. Then, suddenly remembering something, I frowned again and snapped in a sharp tone.
“What’s that medicine? The one you gave Ash.”
“Medicine? Oh, that…? It’s just that I heard that man was looking for pain relievers, so I gave him what I had. Is there a problem?”
“What, what’s the ingredient?”
“Ingredient? It’s juice extracted from medicinal herbs that are effective for stopping bleeding from wounds, mixed with honey? Why that medicine?”
Applying something mixed only with medicinal herbs and honey wouldn’t make one’s senses so sensitive. But it didn’t seem like Evelyn was lying. I couldn’t honestly say, “It’s because of this and that,” and ask.
Evelyn, carefully watching my suspicious expression, snorted as if she understood and leaned her upper body towards me.
“What? Did you try it? I just had it in mind to stop bleeding when there were wounds. How is it? Is it effective?”
“…What did you mix in there?”
“I didn’t mix anything in, it was originally for that purpose. It’s said to suppress pain and make you incredibly excited on the first night. Ah! So, is that why you two could run all night?!”
“Q, quiet! What if someone hears you!”
“Hmm, it seems to be very effective. It’s worth the high price, I’m satisfied. Thanks for the review, Lishua.”
Why was I the one who was embarrassed? My throat felt parched for no reason, so I gulped down water.
“So, did you try the method I told you about? The method to seduce a man.”
“Pfft!”
The water I had in my mouth sprayed into the air and scattered across the table. I ended up showing an unsightly figure due to the shock of being attacked in rapid succession. It was fortunate that it was just the two of us; if there had been anyone else here, I would have stormed out of my seat and run away immediately.
“B, B, Bring!”
“Here, a napkin. Mine isn’t wet.”
It seemed like she was enjoying my embarrassment. Both Ash and Evelyn. They seemed to have similar aspects in this regard.
I wiped my face with the napkin Evelyn handed me and pretended to wipe the wet area on the tablecloth while recalling yesterday’s memories. Just once, I used the method Evelyn had told me, and I almost met my deceased mother. Recalling the aftermath of stimulating him, a chill ran down my spine.
“I, I’m not going to do that again.”
“You tried it?! How was it? Did that man like it?”
“…I don’t know.”
“Why don’t you know? Didn’t you feel much?”
“Absolutely.”
“Really? Then I guess there’s no need to use that method. I understand why you screamed like that.”
“E… everyone heard?”
“I heard it when I went near that room. I feel sorry for Vien, what should I do?”
Birds of a feather flock together. No, if the man she had a crush on gave up on the other woman he liked, wouldn’t that be good for her?
Sometimes it was difficult to fathom Evelyn’s mental world. More than that…
“Wait, were you with Pavilion yesterday?”
“I shared a glass of wine with him. I know very well how painful it is to be rejected without even trying. And Vien got drunk faster than I thought. He was so cute sleeping soundly in my arms.”
I couldn’t close my mouth in shock at Evelyn’s words as she held her cheeks with both hands and twisted her body in delight. I was relieved that Pavilion didn’t have a tendency to become a dog when he was drunk. I shuddered at the thought that a big incident could have happened.
“What did you talk about with Pavilion yesterday?”
“Just people’s lives. From what I see, it doesn’t seem like the brothers have a bad relationship, it’s just that the older brother unilaterally hates the younger brother, right?”
It seemed like there was a misunderstanding between the two brothers. Ash wouldn’t have told Pavilion all those trivial stories. Originally, communication was important between people, but it seemed like that wasn’t happening because the two had completely opposite tendencies.
“And I heard a pretty interesting story.”
“An interesting story?”
I was very curious about what secrets Evelyn had found out about the two brothers.
Ash had already abandoned his past and come here, so he didn’t seem to feel the need to explain it to me. I had decided not to dwell on the past so that he could make a fresh start. But now that his connection had appeared, it was only human to want to know.
So, I tried to be as nonchalant as possible and asked naturally. But Evelyn seemed to have already noticed my inner thoughts and rolled her eyes as if trying to stall.
“Ah, what was it? I suddenly feel like my memory is confused?”
“…Then don’t do it.”
“Hey, are you sulking? Even when our Lishua sulks, she’s so pretty and cute that I want to bite her! That’s why that man is so deeply in love with you that he can’t get out. I understand.”
The smile didn’t disappear from Evelyn’s face as she leaned her upper body forward, rested her elbows on the table, clasped her hands together, and placed her chin on top. It wasn’t a pure smile, so it was subtly annoying.
“Honestly, I thought those brothers might be half-brothers? But they have the same parents. They’re real brothers.”
“I heard that from Ash too.”
“What about the story that they’re high-ranking nobles?”
