Jiang Mingbo is consumed by jealousy for his roommate, the “Golden Child” of their dorm. He can’t stand how Fei Wenxu possesses limitless wealth without lifting a finger, or how he wins over people with a simple beckon, people Jiang can only admire from afar. In Jiang’s eyes, Fei has no real talent; everything he has is purely thanks to his family background.
After hearing the same endless praise for Fei one too many times, Jiang Mingbo finally snaps. He starts bragging to the dorm that he has met a “legendary, adorable, big-eyed cutie” who is hopelessly in love with him. He even promises to introduce this girl to his roommates.
In reality, Jiang creates a fake online persona. His plan? Make Fei Wenxu fall head-over-heels for this fictional girl, turn him into a desperate “simp,” and then drop the bombshell: “Sorry, I’m actually in love with your roommate, Jiang Mingbo.”
Fei Wenxu, meanwhile, notices this so-called “big-eyed cutie” suddenly adding him on social media. He smirks, thinking it’s just another person using a pretext to get close to him.
Amused and curious to see the farce play out, he accepts the request. As the days pass, the “girl” clings to him in-game with ambiguous flirting yet never misses a chance to ask for updates about Jiang Mingbo. Fei begins to feel a hint of disgust, yet he finds himself losing his way in that very resentment. Just as he realizes he is on the verge of becoming a “simp” himself, he discovers the truth: this (cute girl) is actually the roommate he looked down upon.
Watching Jiang’s panicked expression, Fei Wenxu lets out a cold laugh.
“Oh? Weren’t we dating online? Where do you think you’re going?”
