Chapter 3: “Aren’t You Coming Up?”
Lu Tingyun agreed?
Song Ai was utterly dazed. He hadn’t expected Lu Tingyun to agree to sleep with him so easily. It was almost unbelievable.
He confirmed once more: “Are… are you serious?”
Lu Tingyun replied matter-of-factly, “Of course. Although it isn’t mentioned in our signed contract, as your husband, I do indeed have a legal obligation to fulfill such duties.”
His tone was calm and rational, as if they weren’t discussing sex, but a business deal.
Song Ai was speechless. As expected, talking about bed affairs with a frigid person felt like discussing official business.
Seeing that he hadn’t said anything, Lu Tingyun thought he had changed his mind and politely offered him an out: “If you regret it now, you can…”
“No!”
Song Ai kicked that offer right out the window. “Whoever regrets it is a dog.”
The heat in his body was about to erupt. If he didn’t do something, he feared his body would explode tonight.
Seeing his gaze so determined, Lu Tingyun didn’t say more. He stood up with a trace of helplessness and suggested, “Then go upstairs and take a shower first.”
Song Ai froze. “I still have to shower?”
Lu Tingyun paused. “Are you… in a hurry?”
Song Ai’s face turned bright red instantly. When he was forcefully demanding sex earlier, he hadn’t felt much, but now he was feeling a bit embarrassed.
Lu Tingyun stared at his rosy face for two seconds, and seeing that he remained silent, continued walking upstairs. Because of his weak legs, Song Ai could only shuffle slowly behind him.
…
The two arrived at the master bedroom.
Lu Tingyun suddenly stopped at the door. Song Ai, who hadn’t looked up the entire time, didn’t notice and crashed straight into him.
“Ow—!!”
The solid wall of flesh made Song Ai’s head throb.
Lu Tingyun turned around, completely ignoring Song Ai’s pained grimace with zero chivalry, and asked calmly, “Who goes first?”
Song Ai rubbed his forehead, thought for a moment, and bravely took the lead: “I’ll go first.”
If he delayed any longer, his legs would be too weak to stand.
Lu Tingyun finally remembered his manners and took a step back. “After you.”
Song Ai: “…” How very polite.
He clutched his pajamas and walked shakily into the bathroom. As usual, he turned on his favorite warm water to start bathing, but he didn’t expect the warmth to further aggravate his abnormal reaction.
He was dying. He felt dizzier and more “swollen” than before!
Song Ai felt wretched. But since his clothes were already off, he could only continue. He propped himself up against the edge of the sink with one hand and held the showerhead with the other, barely managing to rinse off.
When it came to drying off and getting dressed, Song Ai hit a snag. The shirt was fine, but because his legs were so weak he couldn’t lift them, he couldn’t get into his pants no matter how hard he tried.
After several failed attempts, he simply gave up.
Fortunately, he liked buying his pajamas one size too large. Given the stretchiness of the fabric, if he pulled the shirt down, the hem just managed to cover the tops of his thighs!
Just in case, he checked himself in the mirror. The youth in the reflection had flushed cheeks and hazy eyes, but the clothes firmly covered his backside.
It should be fine.
Song Ai took a deep breath, opened the door, and slowly emerged from the hot, misty steam.
At that moment, Lu Tingyun was holding his tri-fold phone, checking the stock market. Hearing the sound, he put the phone down and looked up.
The first thing to enter his vision was Song Ai’s exquisite face, which seemed even more radiant than before, looking exceptionally healthy against his fair skin.
Perhaps because certain areas had high skin exposure, Lu Tingyun’s gaze uncontrollably drifted downward. Although Song Ai usually looked very thin and his waist was slender, because he didn’t work out much, the flesh on his legs was quite plush and full.
However, Lu Tingyun had always been uninterested in the human body.
He quickly retracted his gaze, grabbed his change of clothes, and stood up.
As he passed Song Ai, a scent of camellias suddenly filled his nose. Lu Tingyun guessed it was the smell of the body wash. After closing the bathroom door, the scent filled the small space, confirming his guess.
He wasn’t used to such a strong fragrance. His daily necessities were mostly colorless and scentless. Being enveloped by the camellia-scented mist and air made him feel a bit choked up.
But his wife was waiting anxiously outside. Lu Tingyun turned on the ventilation fan and, enduring the discomfort, quickly began to wash.
…
After Song Ai went out, he stood there like a fool for a while. Then he began to agonize seriously: Should he lie on the bed and wait? Or sit on the sofa at the foot of the bed?
The former was more comfortable, but it was too damn obvious!
Song Ai walked straight to the sofa, face red.
A long half-hour passed. The bathroom door finally opened again.
Song Ai was drifting off to sleep, his eyes almost closed. Hearing the movement, he snapped them open. Seeing a man walking toward him with a bare upper body, Song Ai was instantly wide awake.
He blinked, feeling his heart rate accelerate.
Previously, they had always slept in separate rooms. Song Ai occupied the master bedroom, while Lu Tingyun chose a guest room with a balcony several doors down. This was the first time Song Ai realized Lu Tingyun was so slow in the shower—a full thirty minutes! It was hard to imagine how meticulously he must have been washing in there.
He probably scrubbed himself eight hundred times!
But what was even more lethal—Lu Tingyun only had a bath towel wrapped around his lower half!
Song Ai nearly stared blankly. He used to think Lu Tingyun looked great in a suit—broad shoulders, narrow waist, firm glutes, and long legs—but now he realized the man was “fit under the clothes” too! Eight-pack abs, full and defined!
Who was he trying to seduce?
Song Ai, who thought he had cooled down a bit, now felt like his body was about to explode!
As for Lu Tingyun, he only did this because he figured he’d have to take them off anyway, so why bother dressing? However, noticing Song Ai staring directly at his abs, he felt a bit of regret.
“Should I turn off the lights?” Lu Tingyun asked, walking closer.
Even though the tone was flat—like colorless, tasteless water—Song Ai’s heart still raced. He stammered, “Turn… turn them off.”
After all, this was his first time… he really didn’t want to watch with his eyes wide open.
Lu Tingyun also felt it was better to turn them off; otherwise, being naked would be awkward for both parties. He turned around, walked to the bedside cabinet, and with a click, turned off all the lights.
The room was plunged into darkness.
Because his vision couldn’t focus on a specific object, Song Ai’s pupils unconsciously dilated, and his hearing became sensitive. He felt his breathing was a bit too heavy, so he deliberately swallowed to distract himself.
Sht.* Why was the sound of swallowing so loud too?
Just as Song Ai was criticizing his every tiny movement, the “rustling” sound of slippers rubbing against the carpet echoed—Lu Tingyun was coming over!
Song Ai unconsciously held his breath. He was so nervous his heart was racing out of control. He could only pull his legs up, hugging his knees to hide the rise and fall of his chest.
—However, he had forgotten he wasn’t wearing pants.
Therefore, when Lu Tingyun was only three steps away, the moonlight from the window revealed two pale, fleshy legs pressed tightly together.
Lu Tingyun pursed his lips and fell silent for a moment. He stopped, as if thinking. After a beat, he shifted direction.
Song Ai heard it clearly—Lu Tingyun went to bed.
He sat down, leaning against the headboard, adjusted his posture, and smoothed out the wrinkled bedding beside him. He sounded a bit like a neat freak.
But soon, there was silence.
Song Ai thought his heartbeat was too loud, masking Lu Tingyun’s sounds, so he concentrated even harder on listening.
The next second, his ears were filled with Lu Tingyun’s voice:
“Aren’t you coming up?”
Whether it was because the meaning behind the words was too erotic, or because the voice was too sexy, Song Ai unconsciously curled his toes and forced himself not to make a sound.
To be honest, having reached this stage, he already regretted it.
He had never been this impulsive. But for some reason, he felt as if there were a strange flame inside him, darting through his internal organs, making him so hot and restless that he just wanted to pounce onto the bed and beg Lu Tingyun to help him put out the fire.
But he was too embarrassed to do that. He could only bite his lip, fearing that the moment he opened his mouth, he would say, “Help me.”
Song Ai didn’t reply for a long time.
Lu Tingyun could only count the time in his head. After a 60-second countdown, he spoke again, repeating the same line: “If you regret it now, it’s still—”
Suddenly, with a thump—Song Ai pounced onto the bed.
The remaining “…not too late” never made it out. Lu Tingyun closed his mouth and offered no more exits.
Song Ai hadn’t expected himself to pounce like that either. Though it was embarrassing, he had done it! He wasn’t sure why—maybe it was a moment of impulse, or maybe it was his stubborn nature being driven by the “never be a dog” mentality…
In any case, he pounced right on Lu Tingyun’s legs. Kneeling on the bed, face flushed.
Even the usually stoic Lu Tingyun couldn’t help but feel a momentary daze at such a seductive sight when he turned to look. But after a second, he retracted his gaze.
A drunk person is always prone to regret after sobering up. Lu Tingyun knew this well, so he deliberated for a moment and confirmed once more: “Have you thought it through?”
Song Ai bit his lip and gave a stiff nod.
He didn’t even have to think to know—he was going to regret this tomorrow.
But that didn’t change his urgency now. The flame inside him was burning wildly, making him so hot that he would probably nod no matter what Lu Tingyun said.
Having received an affirmative response, Lu Tingyun said no more. He was a man with a strong sense of time; it was already past 1:00 AM. If they delayed any further, there would be no sleep tonight. He had an important morning meeting tomorrow; better to get on with it.
Thinking of this, Lu Tingyun raised his hand—
Song Ai closed his eyes.
The next second, however, a clinking sound of metal reached his ears. Song Ai reopened his eyes to find Lu Tingyun slowly and methodically taking off his watch?!
No.
Bro, a beauty has climbed into your bed and is practically begging you, and you’re not in a hurry at all?!!
Song Ai felt insulted. His mind began to replay Zhou Jibai’s mockery. Despicable. Too despicable!
When has Song Ai ever been treated like this? Strong self-esteem and competitiveness filled his chest. Driven by both physiological need and psychological impulse—
He shoved aside Lu Tingyun’s busy hands and lunged forward!
In the darkness, Song Ai’s lips accurately covered Lu Tingyun’s.
The soft, moist sensation traveled from the nerve endings of his lips straight to the depths of his brain. This strange and wonderful touch caused Lu Tingyun to widen his eyes instinctively.
The surrounding air became excessively hot and humid. His blurred vision became incredibly sharp under the stimulation.
He saw Song Ai’s eyelashes casting a fine, scattered shadow in the moonlight. He saw Song Ai’s slightly upturned backside and his arched, slender waist. And he saw Song Ai’s pale, pinkish thighs disappearing beneath the loose hem of his shirt.
Thump-thump, thump-thump—
Lu Tingyun’s heart had never raced as fast as it did at this moment.
