Chu Xingyun urged his boss into creating a variety show called Long Time No See. The premise? Inviting former “close friends” who were once inseparable in the public eye but eventually went their separate areas.
The confirmed guest list includes:
- A legendary screenwriter and his “Muse” (a Triple Crown Best Actor).
- The “Golden Era” e-sports duo.
- And Chu Xingyun and Cen Jing.
As a pair that once set the world on fire during an old-school idol survival show, they provided their fans with an unparalleled “CP” (Couple Pairing) experience. But everything came to a screeching halt seven years ago. On the night their limited-time group disbanded, they unfollowed each other and never interacted again, sparking endless rumors.
Chu Xingyun painstakingly orchestrated this reunion. He doesn’t just want to apologize for what happened back then; he wants to repair a relationship he hasn’t been able to let go of for seven years. When he learns that Cen Jing only agreed to join after hearing he was confirmed, Chu’s confidence soars.
Perhaps he isn’t the only one who can’t forget.
However, reality delivers a brutal wake-up call. The intimacy he thought was a “reciprocated feeling” is actually just Cen Jing’s act of “charity0” a superstar helping out a “washed-up” former colleague.
The “peace offering” signals Chu sends are misunderstood by Cen Jing as “queerbaiting” tactics for fame. But this is a bitter fruit Chu planted himself. After all, it was Chu who once said:
“You don’t actually think we’re in a relationship, do you? Just because we slept together doesn’t mean we’re dating.”

After a brief period of depression, Chu Xingyun recovers. Since Cen Jing is willing to play along with the “queerbaiting” act, then he’ll drag him along for the ride and sell it for all it’s worth. He firmly believes that if you “sell” the ship hard enough, you’ll eventually have everything.
