- Chapter 6 - “Campus Belle” Luo Shiyu
She had never seen Luo Shiyu in such a flustered state while fussing over her appearance.
She herself had never received such treatment—just which dog had snatched away Luo Shiyu?
“Could it be…?” Hesitating, a figure flashed through her mind, and her expression turned to one of shock.
But the next moment, she shook her head in denial.
“No way… How could Luo Shiyu possibly like a blind guy?”
As she was lost in thought, Luo Shiyu had already finished getting ready and left.
By the time Su Ling snapped out of it, the other girl was long gone, leaving her so frustrated that she burrowed straight into Luo Shiyu’s bed.
Boys’ Dormitory.
Chen An had woken up early. Since he was blind, sharing a room with others might have caused many inconveniences, so the school had arranged a single room for him.
Early in the morning, he got up and did eye exercises under the sunlight.
Not that it helped much.
But today, as he went through the motions, Luo Shiyu’s image kept surfacing in his mind.
Of course, it was just his imagination.
She probably wasn’t too pretty—after all, he was just a blind guy. If she were truly beautiful, she’d have to be blind herself to help him so much.
“What a bodhisattva of a woman.”
Just as his thoughts wandered, his phone suddenly rang.
Picking up his braille phone, he fumbled to answer the call.
It was Luo Shiyu—she was already waiting for him downstairs at his dorm.
Adhering to the principle of not keeping her waiting, Chen An descended the stairs at the fastest speed of his life.
Meanwhile, downstairs at the boys’ dorm, Luo Shiyu’s appearance instantly drew the attention of countless male students.
Standing at around 1.7 meters tall, Luo Shiyu wore a pale white dress, her slender, snow-white legs faintly visible beneath the hem.
She stood there quietly, a soft smile on her face, yet it was enough to leave countless admirers dumbstruck.
“Holy crap, that’s Luo Shiyu, the campus belle! She’s actually here?”
“And look—she’s holding breakfast! Did someone actually win over Luo Shiyu?”
“Impossible! Luo Shiyu is mine. No one can take her away!”
“This guy’s seriously delusional—spouting nonsense first thing in the morning.”
“Yeah, yeah. Someone with strong piss, come quick and wake him up.”
As the crowd buzzed with heated discussions, a figure emerged from the dormitory.
Chen An held his white cane in one hand, the chatter around him making him slightly puzzled.
What was going on? Why was everyone making such a commotion? And faintly, he even heard Luo Shiyu’s name.
“Hey, look! Why’s that blind guy walking toward Luo Shiyu?”
“Obviously, even a blind man can sense our Luo Shiyu’s charm—he’s probably going to ask for an autograph,” one of her admirers declared confidently.
“But why did Luo Shiyu just hand her breakfast to that blind guy?” another guy muttered in disbelief, pointing downward.
“What?!” The admirer and the surrounding onlookers froze before hurriedly turning their gazes.
There, at the dorm entrance, the moment Luo Shiyu spotted Chen An, she rushed over in small steps, supporting him while handing him the breakfast she had brought.
The scene instantly plunged the entire area into silence. Everyone’s eyes widened in sheer disbelief.
A blind man—the campus belle Luo Shiyu was actually waiting for a blind man.
“No, impossible. He must be Luo Shiyu’s relative. Yeah, that’s it.”
Countless suitors desperately searched for excuses in their minds, but what happened next shattered their world.
Chen An took a bite of his steamed bun, accidentally leaving a crumb at the corner of his mouth. Noticing this, Luo Shiyu tenderly reached out and wiped it away for him.
This intimate gesture instantly broke the hearts of everyone present.
Would relatives ever act this affectionately?
Obviously not.
In their minds, Luo Shiyu was a sacred, untouchable goddess.
Yet here she was—delivering breakfast to him and even wiping his mouth. Such a scene could only exist in their wildest dreams.
And the one enjoying all this was a blind man.
“No—”
All eyes turned to Chen An. Fortunately for him, he couldn’t see—otherwise, he’d be met with countless murderous glares.
“Did I just hear a lot of people talking about you?” Chen An suddenly asked.
“Did you?” Luo Shiyu glanced up at the crowd on the upper floors, their faces twisted in anguish, and smiled faintly.
“Well, you didn’t mishear. I’m the campus belle, so my presence here is bound to cause a stir.”
“Campus belle?” Chen An froze, then reached out to touch her forehead.
His first attempt missed, landing on her right cheek instead. Only on the second try did he succeed.
The sudden gesture made Luo Shiyu blush. “What are you doing?” she asked.
To her surprise, Chen An looked completely serious as he nodded. “You do feel a little warm. You must be running a fever—otherwise, you wouldn’t say something like that.”
In his mind, someone of the campus belle’s status would never have anything to do with a blind man like him.
Ordinary people avoided him—let alone the campus belle.
And the idea of the campus belle waiting for a blind man outside the boys’ dorm? How could that be real?
“It’s true. I’m not lying,” Luo Shiyu insisted.
“Really?” Chen An shook his head. “I don’t believe you.”
Unable to convince him, Luo Shiyu rolled her eyes.
Fine, don’t believe me.
“Let’s go. It’s almost noon—if we’re late, we won’t get a seat.” Checking the time, she took Chen An’s hand and led him away from the prying eyes.
As the two walked off, the dormitory erupted in anguished wails—louder than if they’d lost their wives.
“Why him? Why him?”
Countless suitors dropped to their knees, looking as though they’d just witnessed a delicate rose planted in a pile of cow dung.
A blind man—what right did he have?
And he didn’t even seem exceptionally wealthy either.
Unable to make sense of it, they began digging into the blind man’s identity.
But what they uncovered was something shocking.
#Blind Man! A Heartfelt Song in the Square.#
#Moved the Entire Internet—A Blind Man’s Confession.#
As they searched, Chen An’s performance in the square resurfaced.
“So it’s him? I listened to that song all night yesterday.”
“Sure, he’s got some talent, but he’s still just a blind man. He doesn’t deserve the campus belle.”
“Exactly! Kill the blind man, take the campus belle!”
“Brothers, charge! Kill the blind man, take the campus belle!”
As more and more people became aware of this incident, the phrase quickly went viral on the school forum.
For the first time since starting school, Chen An found himself the center of attention across the entire campus.
