Misty Nights in Hong Kong - Chapter 22
Spend One Night With Me, and I’ll Give You Ten Million!
Gu Xiangsi was wearing an ultra-short skirt, and at this moment, she felt as though she were sitting on pins and needles, like she had been placed on a scalding hot pot.
The heat from the man’s legs seeped through the thin fabric of his suit pants, scorching her skin until it felt tight.
Unable to bear it, she squirmed uncomfortably, trying to put some distance between them.
The man clearly noticed her fidgeting and tightened his grip around her waist, making it impossible for her to move.
A stifling, indescribable frustration churned in Gu Xiangsi’s chest, whether it was directed at herself or at Fu Sinian’s sudden appearance, she didn’t know, but now, a rebellious impulse surged within her.
She grabbed a handful of pomegranate seeds and shoved them straight into the man’s mouth, her tone sharp and defiant.
“What purpose could I possibly have? I’m here to make money. Unlike you, President Fu, the golden child of fate who could never understand the struggles of ordinary people.”
Fu Sinian, his mouth now full of pomegranate seeds, narrowed his eyes dangerously.
He didn’t speak, only chewed slowly before spitting the remaining seeds into a nearby trash can, his dark gaze settling heavily on her face.
“Don’t you think this pomegranate is just like you?” he said, his voice laced with implication. “It looks full and abundant, but inside, it’s just a bunch of tiny seeds. Once you break it apart, all that’s left is an empty shell. Just like you, putting on a show of deep affection on the surface, but your heart is as hard as stone.”
As he spoke, his eyes drifted downward, landing on the woman’s dazzlingly pale legs. An inexplicable irritation flared in him, and he snatched his suit jacket from beside him, draping it over her lap with a look of disdain.
“Dressed like this, who are you trying to seduce, Gu Xiangsi?”
Gu Xiangsi froze for a moment before reaching for a pomelo. “President Fu, you’re quite like this pomelo yourself,” she retorted. “The rind is so thick it’s impossible to peel, but inside, the segments are neatly divided, clear and precise. You calculate your dealings with people more meticulously than the cleanest pomelo pulp.”
“And you, coming to this private room, aren’t you also harboring your own motives? Don’t play the outsider.”
By now, Gu Xiangsi had figured it out. He was here for her, his words dripping with sarcasm.
Fu Sinian’s eyes narrowed, and the hand resting on her waist slid downward, his fingertips coming to rest on the outside of her thigh. The heat of his touch burned as he traced slow, deliberate circles.
“Dressed like this…” His voice was laced with mockery. “Surely you’re not interested in Zhao Niesen, are you?”
With that, he suddenly turned, pulling her closer and forcing her to look down at the scene below the booth.
Several people were lost in wild revelry, their clothes half-removed, their postures shameless, the scene chaotic and jarring.
Her body trembled involuntarily. The warmth of the man’s palm against her skin sent jolts through her nerves, and combined with the visual assault, long-buried memories roared to the surface.
Gu Xiangsi felt her mouth go dry, her entire body going weak as she slumped into the man’s embrace.
“If you need money, you can always come to me.”
Fu Sinian’s voice was low, tinged with a teasing roughness. “You’ve already touched me, used me, hell, you even seemed to enjoy it.”
“You, shut up!”
Her cheeks burned at his words, and she hurriedly reached up to cover his mouth.
But instead of pulling away, he took advantage of the moment, flicking his tongue out to lightly lick her palm.
It was a mischievous, utterly shameless move.
The warm, wet sensation made her jerk her hand back as if electrocuted, but he seized the opportunity to lean in closer, his breath scorching against her ear.
“Gu Xiangsi, I’m no saint.”
The moment the words left his lips, she felt the unmistakable change beneath her. Her entire body stiffened, a mix of embarrassment and fury flooding her. “You-you’re disgusting!”
“So what if I am?”
His hand suddenly reached beneath her skirt. Gu Xiangxi quickly grabbed his wrist hidden under his suit, her voice pleading, “I’m begging you, don’t…”
“Then tell me, what exactly did you come here for?”
His grip loosened slightly, but his tone remained firm.
“I… I need money.”
She bit her lip, her voice trembling.
“Need money?”
Fu Sinian scoffed, his voice dripping with mockery. “Spend the night with me, and I’ll give you ten million. How about that?”
Gu Xiangsi’s face instantly paled, her eyes flashing with humiliation and anger.
“President Fu, I know it was my fault for breaking up with you first, but there’s no need to humiliate me like this!”
“And I don’t do affairs!”
With that, Gu Xiangsi pinched Fu Sinian’s waist hard.
He hissed in pain and let go.
She immediately stood up and moved to an empty seat nearby, her chest tight with frustration.
Without looking, she grabbed a glass of wine the waiter had just poured and downed it in one gulp.
“President Fu, since you’re in such high spirits,” she said coldly, “I’ll go find you an escort. I’m sure their skills in pleasing men will satisfy you.”
With that, she turned and headed toward the lower section of the private room.
After a few steps, she seemed to remember something and doubled back to Zhao Niesen’s side, unplugging the power bank from his phone.
Just as she was about to leave, she heard Zhao Niesen call out, “Hey, waitress.”
Gu Xiangsi froze, then reluctantly turned back.
“You…” Zhao Niesen started, but she quickly cut in, “President Zhao, the power bank is out of juice. I’ll go charge it for a bit.”
“Pour me another drink,” Zhao Niesen ignored her excuse, pointing at the empty glass on the table.
Not daring to glance to the side, Gu Xiangsi caught faint moans and the heavy scent of arousal in the air. She hadn’t expected the private room to be this debauched.
Keeping her head down, she picked up the wine bottle and poured a glass for Zhao Niesen and the person beside him. As she handed it over, her peripheral vision caught the woman sitting astride Zhao Niesen’s lap, topless, her body undulating obscenely.
The explicit sight made her fingers tremble.
Only after leaving the private room did Gu Xiangsi feel like she could breathe again. The air outside felt fresh.
“Sinian, what’s with the daze?”
Lu Liang called out to him several times, holding a wine glass.
Fu Sinian absentmindedly picked up the half-finished glass Gu Xiangsi had left behind, topped it up, and took a sip. His brows suddenly furrowed.
“Who poured this wine?”
A male waiter nearby stammered, “President Fu, is something wrong?”
“What was added to it?”
The waiter took a closer look at the glass and suddenly paled, slapping his forehead. “Th-this one has a bit of… enhancer in it…”
“Who ordered it?” Fu Sinian’s voice turned icy.
“President Zhao said… President Lu and the others weren’t loosening up,” the waiter gestured toward the two escorts nearby. “It was meant for them. But that waitress just now… I couldn’t stop her in time. My apologies.”
“Damn it!” Fu Sinian cursed under his breath, an inexplicable irritation rising in his chest.
His mind had been stuck on Gu Xiangsi’s words, “I don’t do affairs.” But he didn’t even have a girlfriend, so how could there be any talk of an affair?
The chaotic thoughts left him restless.
He set the glass down, grabbed his suit jacket from the chair, and strode toward the door.
“Where are you going?” Lu Liang asked.
“Need air.”
Fu Sinian tossed the two words over his shoulder and pushed open the private room door without looking back.
Gu Xiangsi was eager to check her phone messages and hurried around the corner just as a text from Nan Yu popped up on her screen.
[Everything’s taken care of, but there’s one odd file. You’ll need to come by later.]
She quickly replied with an “OK” and looked up, suddenly noticing a woman being dragged by a man toward a private room.
The woman struggled and cried out, “Help! Please, I beg you…”
Gu Xiangsi’s heart clenched, and instinctively, she took a few steps forward, finally getting a clear view of the woman’s profile.
