Mistakenly Seen as a Scumbag by My Wife with Seven Personalities - Chapter 1
Wife, Office
4 a.m.
In the top-floor building of the Gu Corporation, one office remained lit.
Gu Fei sat quietly at her desk, brows slightly furrowed as she meticulously handled the documents before her.
At 9 a.m. that morning, the Gu Corporation would convene its new shareholders’ meeting, during which the current chairperson, Gu Lian, would announce the successor to the position.
Although everyone knew that the position would undoubtedly go to Gu Fei.
A month ago, Gu Lian had already unconditionally transferred all her shares in the corporation to her only younger sister, Gu Fei.
Today’s shareholders’ meeting was merely a formal handover ceremony.
But for Gu Fei, taking over this position required demonstrating some tangible achievements.
In the eyes of others, Gu Lian’s sudden resignation was seen as the adopted daughter voluntarily stepping aside for the true heir of the Gu family.
But for Gu Fei, it was nothing but confusion.
She understood better than anyone how much Gu Lian cared about the corporation.
Since childhood, Gu Fei had never imagined competing with her sister over such matters.
Yet Gu Lian had simply handed her a share transfer agreement as if it were a routine notification, then immediately flew abroad, leaving the entire corporation in Gu Fei’s hands.
Forced into this position, Gu Fei had been working at such an intense pace for a full month. If it weren’t for her newlywed wife also being busy with her career filming abroad Gu Fei feared their relationship would suffer from the lack of time together, potentially leading to divorce.
Thinking of Qin Qingwei, the tension in Gu Fei’s overworked mind eased slightly.
Divorce was out of the question. Even if it meant giving up the chairperson position, Gu Fei would never consider it.
As this thought crossed her mind, Gu Fei couldn’t help but pause, then silently lowered her gaze to the silver bracelet on her wrist.
After a final review of the documents on her computer, Gu Fei rubbed her tired temples and stood up from her desk.
The expansive floor-to-ceiling window behind her reflected the hazy morning light outside, indicating that the day ahead would not be particularly pleasant.
Checking the time, she saw there were less than five hours until the shareholders’ meeting began.
Turning toward the office door, Gu Fei decided to catch some sleep in the meantime.
Her hand had just reached the doorknob, not yet pressing the lock button, when a soft knock interrupted her.
As the door opened, Gu Fei wondered who could be at the company at this hour.
To her surprise, it was the very person she had just been thinking of.
Dressed simply in a fitted white T-shirt and jeans, Qin Qingwei slightly raised her eyes and removed the black mask from her face.
“I didn’t see you at home, so I thought I’d come to the office to check on you. Am I disturbing you?”
Her tone gentle, Qin Qingwei reached out and softly took hold of Gu Fei’s still-stunned hand.
“Not at all.”
Gu Fei, snapping back to reality, clasped her fingers in return and guided her inside, locking the door behind them.
Their hands were equally warm, and as they held each other, the matching silver bracelets on their wrists occasionally brushed against one another.
“Weren’t you supposed to be on a flight this afternoon? Did I misremember the time?”
In the dimly lit inner restroom, as Gu Fei turned on the light, her voice carried a mix of pleasant surprise and subtle tension.
They had only been married for a month, yet by the third day of their newlywed life, they had already become engrossed in their respective busy schedules. Now, meeting again, Gu Fei felt inexplicably flustered, as if she had been transported back to their first date.
And that was merely two months ago.
Standing before her with a faint smile, Qin Qingwei discreetly examined Gu Fei’s face, then shook her head gently with a soft laugh.
“The filming wrapped up early, so I changed my flight.”
“I see.”
“Shall we go back.”
Snapping out of her reverie at Qin Qingwei’s gentle smile, Gu Fei glanced around the minimalist lounge and decided it would be best to go home with Qin Qingwei first.
“Are there spare clothes here? I’d like to take a shower and get some sleep. I’m a bit tired after the long flight.”
“Yes.”
Before she could finish her sentence, Qin Qingwei interrupted her softly. Gu Fei nodded instinctively and went to the wardrobe to find the spare pajamas she had left there.
“You go ahead and shower. The soundproofing in this lounge is quite good, so you can sleep until the afternoon without being disturbed.”
As she handed the pajamas to Qin Qingwei, Gu Fei spoke with genuine sincerity.
She knew Qin Qingwei had to attend an important awards ceremony that afternoon. Since she wasn’t going home, it would be nice for her to rest here properly.
Glancing down at the clothes in her hand, Qin Qingwei nodded, gave Gu Fei a look, and then turned to enter the inner bathroom.
Watching her retreating figure, Gu Fei unconsciously let out a silent sigh of relief, though her cheeks flushed slightly.
When Qin Qingwei emerged, she wasn’t wearing the pajamas Gu Fei had given her. Instead, she was wrapped only in a white towel.
Her delicate collarbone and fair, slender legs were fully exposed.
Gu Fei, who had been resting with her eyes closed on the sofa, instinctively stood up at the sight.
“Do the clothes not fit?”
Shaking her head slightly, Qin Qingwei, her hair still damp, walked slowly toward her. With one hand holding the edge of the towel at her chest and the other brushing aside the strands of hair falling by her face, she tucked them behind her ear.
As her long eyelashes fluttered, a faint glimmer flickered in her eyes.
“My back seems to have been chafed while using the harness earlier. Could you take a look later and apply some ointment for me?”
“Is it serious?”
Hearing this, Gu Fei instinctively glanced behind her, her fingers already unconsciously resting on Qin Qingwei’s smooth, delicate arm.
Shaking her head, Qin Qingwei gave a faint smile and then gently nudged Gu Fei’s shoulder toward the bathroom.
“It’s not serious. You go take a shower first. You’ve been up all night, aren’t you tired?”
Her cheeks slightly flushed, Gu Fei pursed her lips and raised a hand somewhat awkwardly to cover her face.
“Are my dark circles really bad?”
“No.”
Qin Qingwei chuckled softly and, in response to Gu Fei’s surprised and bashful expression, leaned in to place a light kiss on her lips.
As the soft lips pulled away, Gu Fei blinked with a hint of reluctance, her throat tightening slightly.
It wasn’t until the warm shower water cascaded over her that she gradually calmed down.
Qin Qingwei had just finished filming and endured a long flight, while she herself had stayed up late for far too long.
Clearly, the little energy they had left shouldn’t be spent on intimacy. Rest was what they needed most.
With her mind made up, Gu Fei finished her shower with a heart as calm as still water. Having forgotten to bring her pajamas into the bathroom, she wrapped herself in a white bathrobe before stepping out.
The curtains were drawn tightly, leaving only a dim, warm, and slightly suggestive glow from the overhead lamp in the room.
Qin Qingwei sat propped against the headboard, a corner of the blanket draped over her waist, and a black handbag had somehow appeared beside her. Gu Fei glanced at it twice, recalling that it had been left behind in the outer office earlier.
“Qingwei.”
Her throat felt dry again. Gu Fei averted her gaze from Qin Qingwei and sat down gently at the edge of the bed.
“Let me apply the medicine for you.”
“Mm.”
The blanket shifted as Qin Qingwei turned to sit with her back facing Gu Fei. The thin towel she wore slipped from her front, revealing her smooth, fair back. Perhaps the air in the room was a bit chilly, Qin Qingwei pulled a corner of the blanket to cover herself, her back slightly arched as she leaned quietly against her knees.
Pursing her lips, Gu Fei couldn’t immediately spot the chafed area, so she reached out and gently brushed the strands of hair scattered across Qin Qingwei’s back to the front. As the hair drifted aside, through the gap between Qin Qingwei’s arms wrapped around her knees, Gu Fei caught a glimpse of the pale skin pressed against them. Her breath unconsciously quickened, and for a moment, she found it hard to look away.
“Did you find it?”
Qin Qingwei’s soft voice suddenly broke the silence in the room. Gu Fei instinctively nodded, then blushed as she quickly realized something.
“No, it doesn’t seem like there’s any injury.”
From the delicate shoulders, the gracefully arched spine, down to the slender waist, all Gu Fei could see was flawless, smooth skin.
“Is that so?”
Qin Qingwei responded softly, her cool, refined eyes meeting Gu Fei’s as she glanced sideways.
“It should be lower down.”
She released the half-concealing corner of the blanket. Just as Gu Fei, blushing, was about to stand up, Qin Qingwei turned and lay completely flat on the bed. The towel bunched up just above her lower back, fully displaying her long, elegant figure to Gu Fei.
“Probably around here.”
She guided softly, lifting her upper body slightly to meet Gu Fei’s gaze, her eyes filled with gentle amusement and boundless trust.
“Mm, I see it.”
Leaning closer to her waist, Gu Fei nodded, her eyelashes trembling slightly. Just below the curve of her waist, there was indeed a bluish-purple mark. Frowning slightly, Gu Fei picked up the ointment and cotton swab from beside the black handbag on the bedside table and began applying the medicine with careful, gentle motions.
“It looks pretty serious.”
Gu Fei instinctively lightened her touch. After covering the entire area with ointment, she carefully checked elsewhere.
“Does it hurt anywhere else?”
Qin Qingwei, her face buried in her arms, didn’t respond at first. Only when Gu Fei asked again did she grasp Gu Fei’s wrist and slowly turn over.
“There’s also the front.”
She lay half-reclined on the bed, her upper body leaning forward and supported by one arm behind her. Meeting Gu Fei’s flushed face, Qin Qingwei lowered her gaze and pulled the towel over to cover herself.
“Here.”
She guided Gu Fei’s fingertips to her slender hip. Even through the thin black fabric, a faint, burning pain could be felt.
“Here?”
Confirming with a glance, Gu Fei gently hooked the edge of the underwear downward, revealing the red, chafed mark on her hip. As Gu Fei applied the medicine, Qin Qingwei’s gaze remained lowered, resting quietly elsewhere.
Her long eyelashes fluttered incessantly.
The palm gripping the corner of the quilt tightened slightly with restrained force.
Gu Fei knew she must be just as shy as herself.
As the last wound was tended to, the resolve in Gu Fei’s heart crumbled.
She tentatively leaned forward slightly, drawing closer to Qin Qingwei’s perpetually lowered face.
Gently cupping her chin with a palm, Qin Qingwei’s cool, watery gaze flickered faintly.
The moment their eyes met, Gu Fei, blushing, pressed her lips to Qin Qingwei’s.
Gu Fei didn’t see the tender ripples of emotion at the corner of Qin Qingwei’s eyes when their fingers intertwined softly over the quilt’s edge.
The bathrobe and towel lay piled together on the floor beside the bed.
As Qin Qingwei hooked an arm around her waist, Gu Fei’s fingers hesitated, tracing the curve of her thigh.
“Qingwei, I didn’t bring any finger cots,” she whispered close to Qin Qingwei’s ear.
A mix of regret and frustration stirred within her.
Strands of hair lay slightly disheveled across the pillow. Qin Qingwei, eyes closed and cheeks flushed, replied in a soft, low voice, “They’re in my bag.”
With that, she turned her head and reached into the black handbag, pulling out a few finger cots.
Watching Qin Qingwei lean against the headboard, helping her put them on, Gu Fei felt a sudden daze.
These were left over from the day they had registered their marriage unused, they had been sitting in Qin Qingwei’s bag ever since.
Gu Fei was somewhat stubborn about this; she didn’t dare touch Qin Qingwei’s most vulnerable place directly with her fingers. No matter how thoroughly she washed them, she feared the risk of infection.
On the day they registered, after hearing Gu Fei’s thoughts, Qin Qingwei had taken her to a nearby pharmacy to buy several boxes of finger cots.
It was just a pity they had no wedding leave, the only two days they had together had barely seen two boxes used.
8 a.m.
Gu Fei’s phone on the bedside table chimed.
It startled the two, still lost in the throes of passion.
At that moment, Gu Fei was nestled against Qin Qingwei’s neck, planting soft, light kisses.
As the phone rang, Qin Qingwei’s leg, hooked around Gu Fei’s waist, tightened slightly.
The room held no mingled murmurs only Qin Qingwei’s soft, restrained pants when she couldn’t hold back, and the slightly heavier breaths from Gu Fei as she leaned in.
When the phone chimed a second time, Gu Fei visibly faltered. Qin Qingwei opened her eyes to look at her, fingertips brushing away a bead of sweat slowly trailing down Gu Fei’s jaw.
“Is it time for work?”
Pressing her lips together, Gu Fei met her gaze and shook her head, then leaned over to glance at the phone screen.
“Not yet. It’s a message from my sister, reminding me not to be late.”
In truth, Gu Fei’s wording was rather mild compared to a reminder, the message from Gu Lian felt more like a warning.
At the mention of Gu Lian, Qin Qingwei’s gaze deepened.
She panted softly, resting her head against Gu Fei’s shoulder, her voice gentle and forgiving despite the lingering intensity of desire in her eyes.
“Should we stop?”
Hearing this, the blush on Gu Fei’s cheeks deepened.
Her fingers were still pressed deep inside.
“No,” she murmured, kissing Qin Qingwei’s lips before trailing down her jaw.
A faint smile touched Qin Qingwei’s lips as she pressed her palm against the nape of Gu Fei’s neck.
“A little harder is fine.”
Gu Fei pursed her lips and looked up at her.
“It’ll leave marks.”
Mindful of Qin Qingwei’s career as an actress, Gu Fei had always held back her strength, leaving no marks except for two faint love bites on Qin Qingwei’s chest from their wedding night, when she had been unable to restrain herself.
“It’s alright.”
Qin Qingwei gazed at her with eyes shimmering like water.
Under Gu Fei’s hesitant gaze, she reached up and gently wrapped her arms around Gu Fei’s neck, whispering softly.
“Xiao Fei, I came back early because I missed you.”
Gu Fei’s heart melted instantly.
