Love Contract with the Queen Actress - Chapter 21
At Penthouse.
The double doors burst open as Shen Wu and Su Yuchen stumbled inside, locked in a passionate kiss.
The air was thick with lingering fragrance, their lips and teeth entwined.
Though the chill of the outdoors still clung to them, frost dusting their hair, the two pressed tightly together like raging wildfires: blazing, entwined, scorching.
With a flick of Shen Wu’s foot, the door finally managed to close.
The next moment, they collapsed onto the sofa.
The black couch wasn’t plush, it was a firm, angular leather-and-foam cube with clean lines. Their bodies bounced slightly upon impact before settling heavily, dark hair spilling and tangling together.
Su Yuchen’s mind was a haze, her thoughts drifting back to what had just happened in the car.
…
It was the same flashy sports car, turning heads all the way as they drove off.
Just one of the many toys Shen Wu had recently favored, her private underground parking space housed an entire row of such collectibles.
Every single one of them was eye-catching, flamboyant.
Just like Shen Wu herself, fiery and one-of-a-kind.
Su Yuchen’s hands and feet were still icy, the blasting heater in the car doing little to warm her up. She discreetly rubbed her palms together.
Though Shen Wu’s focus was on driving, her mind was still attuned to Su Yuchen, easily catching the small gesture.
“Cold?”
Of course she was. After filming all day, who wouldn’t be?
Not to mention taking the bus and then standing outside for so long, she must have been freezing.
Without taking her eyes off the road, Shen Wu said, “There’s a bag on the back seat with two thermoses. One has a hot drink, open it and have some.”
Su Yuchen shook her head. “No, it’s fine.”
She didn’t want to trouble Shen Wu. Besides, if she drank Shen Wu’s hot beverage, what would Shen Wu have?
But at her refusal, Shen Wu arched a brow. “Not drinking?”
“Oh, right. I took a sip earlier, my bad. Forgot Miss Su might find me unhygienic.”
What?!
As if she’d ever think that of Shen Wu!
Without another word, Su Yuchen twisted around, grabbed the lunch bag, pulled out a thermos, unscrewed the cap, and downed it in one go.
Gulp, gulp.
The sound of liquid rushing down her throat filled the car. For a moment, it almost looked like a determined little calf was chugging atop Su Yuchen’s head.
She drank heroically, nearly draining the thermos before realizing,
“Huh… this is cold.”
“…”
Just as they hit a red light, Shen Wu tapped the brakes.
Her gaze lazily slid over. “Which one did you drink?”
“Wh… which one…?”
Su Yuchen blinked dizzily, were there others?
She stiffly looked down, unzipping the bag further, only to find another thermos inside.
Though the same in design, the lid colors were different.
The one in her hand had a blue lid.
The one still nestled in the lunch bag had a pink one.
“…”
Shen Wu’s voice was eerily calm. “You didn’t… drink the Long Island Iced Tea I secretly packed, did you?”
Hic-!
Su Yuchen let out a drunken hiccup, her eyes squinting blissfully as a tiny rainbow bubble popped at her lips.
“It’s fine, it’s fine,” she slurred. “It’s just tea.”
“…”
“This is different. It’s a Long Island Iced Tea, mostly made of hard liquor.”
“Mmm…?”
Su Yuchen’s words slurred slightly. “Why are you sneaking, hic-packing hard liquor…”
“Because Fu Nan won’t let me drink,” Shen Wu stepped hard on the accelerator.
“Tsk, we need to hurry back. You lightweight idiot, this is giving me a headache.”
“Mmm… it’s actually pretty tasty.”
As she spoke, Su Yuchen raised her glass again. “Yes! Cheers!”
Just as the glass touched her lips, Shen Wu swiftly snatched it away.
The liquor sloshed violently as Shen Wu stashed the glass away, massaging her temples in exasperation while steadying the steering wheel. “Here we go again. Are you about to start another drunken episode?”
“…”
The car entered the underground garage, passing through an automatic scanning gate.
The barrier lifted, allowing them to drive into the reserved parking area.
As soon as they stopped, Shen Wu tilted her head slightly, her striking profile lifting as she asked, “You okay?”
Before the word “okay” even finished, she saw Su Yuchen slumped against the seat, her face pressed against the window, completely out of it.
If this were a chibi-style animation, Su Yuchen would definitely be depicted with her face smooshed against the glass, mouth wide open, snoring away, a snot bubble inflating and deflating, a perfect image of a big-headed doll.
“…”
Shen Wu pinched the bridge of her nose, got out of the car, and circled to the passenger side to help the drunkard out.
The moment the door opened, the other woman clung to her like a koala.
“Mmm… you smell nice. This dream feels so real.”
“…”
“What dream? Get off me, ow! Don’t bite my hand!” Shen Wu struggled to unbuckle the seatbelt, only for her hand to be lightly nipped as soon as she raised it.
Startled, she lightly tapped Su Yuchen’s flushed cheek.
“What are you doing? Are you a cat or something?”
Su Yuchen’s gaze was hazy, her almond-shaped eyes glazed with moisture as she looked up.
“Meow~”
“…”
Shen Wu’s heart seemed to skip a beat, only for Su Yuchen to tilt her chin up expectantly.
“Scratch.”
“Like last time… scratch me.”
“…”
The corners of Shen Wu’s slightly upturned eyes crinkled as a faint smile played on her lips.
She reached out and gently scratched Su Yuchen’s chin, prompting the other woman to close her eyes in bliss.
She even murmured softly, “Just like in the dream.”
But after a while, her eyes gradually shut completely.
Su Yuchen’s head slowly drooped, resting the full weight of her skull in Shen Wu’s hand.
And just like that, she was out like a light.
Shen Wu: “…”
“…………”
The earlier dreamy atmosphere had now devolved into utter chaos.
Gritting her teeth, Shen Wu hooked her arms under the sleeping woman’s armpits and hauled her out.
Though Su Yuchen was slender and tall, she was still a full 170 cm, far from something Shen Wu could lift or carry. All she could do was drag her out.
Unfortunately, Su Yuchen’s arms dangled limply like a giant ragdoll, her legs barely managing a few uncoordinated steps. Her feet seemed to have minds of their own, stumbling and tripping over nothing.
It was exhausting. After a Herculean effort, Shen Wu finally managed to half-drag, half-carry her into the elevator.
Once inside, she pressed the floor button and barely caught her breath when Su Yuchen, still hanging limp, mumbled something incoherent.
Shen Wu didn’t catch it nor did she have the energy to try.
Because hauling around a lightweight who talked in her sleep was just too damn tiring.
Amid the mechanical hum of the ascending elevator, a faint yet clear sentence drifted through the haze: “Haven’t we met before?”
Shen Wu curled his lips. “Not telling you.”
“Figure it out yourself.”
“Shen Wu.”
Originally focused on the changing numbers on the screen, Shen Wu suddenly heard his name called from behind. He turned his head, only for his lips to be sealed by a soft, sweet wine-scented warmth.
The next second, Su Yuchen pressed Shen Wu’s wrists against the elevator wall.
And began to “ravage” those lips without restraint.
