Irreversible - Chapter 5
Chapter 5: The Scumbag’s Self-Rescue (Part 5)
The moment Su Nanfeng hugged her from behind, Gu Xizhou’s entire body went rigid, and her mind turned to mush.
The experience of being suppressed for years left Gu Xizhou not knowing how to resist. The cold scent of green oranges belonging to an Alpha pressed down on her like a mountain, suffocating her.
Su Nanfeng, however, did not let her go. Her icy fingertips pressed against the suppressant patch on Gu Xizhou’s nape, and she asked with keen interest: “Presented as an Alpha, huh? What does it smell like?”
Riiiip!
Gu Xizhou’s suppressant patch was torn off by Su Nanfeng.
The overwhelming scent of rosemary erupted from Gu Xizhou’s glands, choking Su Nanfeng for a split second of surprise.
In that exact moment, Gu Xizhou heard the instruction from 0820 in her mind: “Elbow her in the chest!”
Without a second thought, Gu Xizhou raised her elbow and slammed it hard into Su Nanfeng’s heart.
“Ugh…”
Pain flared in her chest, and Su Nanfeng involuntarily stepped back, loosening her grip on Gu Xizhou’s neck. Gu Xizhou seized the opportunity, ripped herself from Su Nanfeng’s embrace, and bolted toward the exit.
Before she could get a few steps out, Su Nanfeng recovered, grabbed her collar, dragged her back, and glared at her fiercely: “You looking to die?!”
Su Nanfeng was sixteen and a half, standing a full 172cm tall. The undeveloped Gu Xizhou was only 158cm. Furthermore, Su Nanfeng had played the cello since she was a child and possessed incredible physical strength. Having presented as an Alpha, Gu Xizhou could not break free from her grip. The little kitten held in her hand struggled desperately, shouting in a low, furious voice with reddened eyes: “Let me go!”
Su Nanfeng sneered, gripped Gu Xizhou’s arms with both hands, pinned them behind her back, and slammed her against the vanity sink: “I think you’re just itching for a beating, Gu Xizhou.”
She held Gu Xizhou down with one hand and slammed her other hand hard against Gu Xizhou’s thigh. Gu Xizhou had endured many beatings from her; in the past, when others were around, Su Nanfeng loved having them pin her down while she kicked and punched the softer parts of Gu Xizhou’s body where injuries wouldn’t be fatal, such as the thighs, calves, and buttocks.
But this time, Su Nanfeng was alone in the restroom.
When the clear slap sound echoed from her thigh, Gu Xizhou winced, bit her lip, and gathered her strength, kicking her leg back fiercely.
Su Nanfeng had excellent reflexes, dodged the strike, sneered, clamped Gu Xizhou’s legs between her own, and held her in a vice-like grip. Su Nanfeng locked her against the sink, balled her hand into a fist, and delivered a heavy blow to Gu Xizhou’s abdomen.
Just that one punch made Gu Xizhou’s stomach churn and her vision swim with stars. She felt faint from the pain, and 0820 screamed in her mind: “Bite her! Bite her!”
“Use your teeth!”
“Don’t think about the consequences of biting her. Even if your mother loses her job, that isn’t a consequence you should have to bear.”
“If you’re being bullied, you must fight back!”
Su Nanfeng delivered another heavy blow to Gu Xizhou’s abdomen.
At that moment, Gu Xizhou, as if unable to control her inner vicious dog, spun around and sank her teeth viciously into Su Nanfeng’s shoulder. The thin blazer couldn’t stop her sharp teeth; Gu Xizhou bit down so hard she nearly tore off a piece of flesh.
Su Nanfeng’s movements froze. She hissed in pain, shoved Gu Xizhou away, and sent her crashing into the vanity sink.
Su Nanfeng barked sharply: “Gu Xizhou, you’re dead!”
Gu Xizhou’s thin waist slammed hard against the edge of the sink, sending a jolt of pain through her scalp. Yet, she staggered to her feet, lunged at Su Nanfeng like a rabid rabbit, and, enduring the agony of her entire body, tackled Su Nanfeng to the ground like a cannonball.
Su Nanfeng’s lithe frame hit the floor hard, the back of her head slamming against the ground.
“Ssss…”
Gu Xizhou didn’t care; she mounted her, pinned her arms, and bit down hard on Su Nanfeng’s face.
“Aooo…”
A sharp scream pierced the air. Ding Yi, who had been waiting outside, heard the commotion and rushed in: “Nanfeng…”
Su Nanfeng struggled, trying to push off the rabid rabbit on top of her, and roared: “Pull her off me!”
Ding Yi, who was sturdy, rushed over and kicked Gu Xizhou in the waist and abdomen: “Get off!”
Gu Xizhou let out a muffled grunt, released Su Nanfeng’s shoulder, fell off her, and curled up on the floor, holding her waist in misery. Her eyes were red and filled with tears, yet she glared fiercely at Su Nanfeng.
Su Nanfeng was pulled up by Ding Yi and stared at the curled-up Gu Xizhou, her rage burning. She raised her leg and kicked Gu Xizhou’s stomach with all her might: “You’re looking to die!”
Just as her foot landed, a voice filled with shock rang out from the doorway: “Su Nanfeng!”
Su Nanfeng and Ding Yi turned their heads abruptly. Su Zhiyi, dressed with dignity and a frail figure, stood by the door, staring at them in disbelief: “What are you doing!”
Su Zhiyi’s gaze slid down, upon seeing the poor, curled-up little thing holding her stomach, her nose turned sour, tears instantly flooded her eyes, and her voice became choked with sobs: “Why are you hitting someone!”
Su Nanfeng’s expression changed instantly. She stood there with disheveled hair, lips pressed tight, watching as Su Zhiyi walked toward them.
Su Zhiyi knelt beside Gu Xizhou, gently resting a hand on her thin shoulder. Resisting her tears, she glanced at the shivering Gu Xizhou, then looked up at Su Nanfeng, fat tears streaming down her cheeks: “Su Nanfeng…”
“How could you do this…”
“How did you become like this…”
Su Nanfeng lowered her gaze, looking at the disappointment and confusion in her sister’s eyes, feeling as if an iron nail had been driven into her spine. She felt chilled to the bone.
Su Zhiyi helped Gu Xizhou to the infirmary. Along the way, Su Nanfeng and Ding Yi followed far behind, ignoring the pain in Su Nanfeng’s shoulder, cold and silent.
Su Zhiyi didn’t care about her sister. She helped Gu Xizhou to the infirmary door and called out anxiously: “Doctor, quickly, check on my classmate…”
“She was kicked in the stomach.”
The female Beta doctor hurried out, saw Gu Xizhou looking pale in Su Zhiyi’s arms, and frowned: “What happened here?”
Gu Xizhou had been hit several times and was in too much pain to speak.
Su Zhiyi hurriedly explained: “I saw her being bullied in the restroom, kicked in the stomach. I don’t know if she’s hurt badly.”
The doctor’s expression changed. She hurriedly reached out to support Gu Xizhou, rushing: “Kicks to the abdomen can be serious. Which class are you in? Contact your head teacher immediately and get her to the hospital for a check-up.”
After a chaotic flurry, Song Qiao finally sent Gu Xizhou to the hospital. Since she had been beaten by both Su Nanfeng and Ding Yi, the school did not overlook the incident.
By the time the infirmary doctor treated the bite marks on Su Nanfeng’s face and shoulder, the dean called Su Nanfeng, Ding Yi, and Su Zhiyi to the office.
The air conditioning in the office was blasting. The three girls stood side-by-side in front of the desk, waiting to be lectured. The dean, a woman with a high bun and sharp features, sat before her computer, staring sternly at the tall, indifferent girl across from her: “Student Su Nanfeng, what kind of altercation did you and Student Gu Xizhou have in the restroom?”
Hearing the dean’s question, Su Zhiyi couldn’t help but turn her head to look at her twin sister.
Su Nanfeng turned her head away, revealing the bite marks, and put on a look of grievance with reddened eyes and bitten lips: “Teacher, I didn’t hit her first.”
Having lied for years, Su Nanfeng was a master of the “the crying child gets the milk” strategy. She wore two completely different masks in front of teachers and her victims. She was blessed with a good appearance; when she wasn’t being aggressive, she had the same gentle, harmless temperament as Su Zhiyi.
The stern dean softened slightly upon seeing her like this.
But Su Zhiyi was different. Even though they had been forced apart for years, as her twin sister, she could tell which of her sister’s emotions were real and which were fake.
Seeing this performance, Su Zhiyi’s eyes widened: She’s lying! Why is she lying?
Just then, Ding Yi added: “It was Gu Xizhou who was light-fingered first.”
Su Zhiyi turned to look at Ding Yi, who was speaking with utter conviction: “We were in the same middle school as her. She loved to commit petty theft, she was a well-known thief in school.”
“Today, Nanfeng and I were in the restroom. While washing hands, Nanfeng put her watch on the counter. Gu Xizhou snatched it, and we caught her.”
“We demanded she return the watch, but she wouldn’t admit it, resisted, and then flew into a rage and hit Nanfeng…”
Su Zhiyi’s eyes grew wide, watching Ding Yi tell a blatant lie without blinking, and she said in a trembling voice: “You are all lying!”
