I Ran Away After Flirting with the Goddess - Chapter 3
Chapter 3
An Rongrong stared with wide eyes, looking at Shen Lishu in shock. She felt like she shouldn’t be in the car—she should be under it. Because the Goddess’s tire tracks had just rolled right over her face!
The Goddess meant that, right? She did, didn’t she?
Even though she constantly clamored on the internet for “Sister” not to stick so strictly to gender requirements, facing this situation so suddenly left her unable to react.
“Scared?” Shen Lishu suddenly smiled, her eyes curving into crescents. The dangerous, alluring aura she radiated vanished instantly, leaving not a trace of intent to actually sleep with her. It was practically a live demonstration for An Rongrong of what “Best Actress level acting” looked like.
She leaned back, her beautiful eyes glancing at An Rongrong. She took out her phone and chided her in the tone of a protective elder sister, “If you know how to be scared, why were you sleeping so soundly in a stranger’s car?”
An Rongrong blinked. So, the Goddess wasn’t actually going to sleep with a fan.
She couldn’t quite describe the feeling in her heart. It was like watching a cooked duck that was about to reach her mouth suddenly come back to life, flap its wings, and fly away!
And it even left her with a look of disdain.
An Rongrong comforted herself: Shen Lishu truly was the Goddess she adored. Not only was she beautiful and kind-hearted, but her character was also top-notch!
Today is another day to love Sister even more!
Shen Lishu had truly never seen a female artist like An Rongrong—someone who dared to get drunk at a party full of strangers and fell asleep the moment she got into her car.
If this had been photographed, there’s no telling how marketing accounts would have spun it. Even just a few unflattering photos could have a negative impact on a newcomer debuting from an idol group.
“Take out your phone, let’s add each other.” Shen Lishu opened her social media page and pulled up her QR code. “You’re sober now, right?”
Soberer than she had ever been.
An Rongrong obediently took out her phone and lowered her head. Holding it with both hands, she excitedly opened the scanner and exchanged contact information with Shen Lishu, her dark eyes shining brightly.
Today, not only did progress move at lightning speed, but she even got her WeChat ID. She really didn’t let Director Mao’s expectations down.
“Since you’re sober, I’ll have the driver take you back. You have to go to the set tomorrow morning. You don’t have your things here, so if you stayed, you’d have to wake up even earlier to make an extra trip home.” Shen Lishu picked up her handbag, her camel-colored shawl hanging naturally over her forearm as she opened the door to get out. “Send me a message when you get there.”
She was afraid An Rongrong might fall asleep again on the way, so she planned to chat with her during the ride to keep her alert.
An Rongrong leaned against the car window, pouting as she watched her. Her eyes were full of stars, and she was so moved she almost cried.
Sister is just too good!
On the way back, An Rongrong stared dizzily at the message in their chat box:
“I have accepted your friend request. Now we can start chatting.”
She was lost in a daze.
Until Shen Lishu sent a message:
“Drink some sober-up tea when you get back, otherwise your head will hurt tomorrow.”
An Rongrong looked at the screen and giggled like an idiot. Her heart was thumping—she was both happy and nervous, feeling as if she were chatting with a girlfriend she had just started dating, terrified of saying the wrong thing and exposing her “silly” nature.
“Okay! (Hada!)”
An Rongrong leaned against the car window, looking out at the receding lights and vehicles. Perhaps because the alcohol hadn’t worn off yet, her heart felt strangely hot, as if it were soaking in a warm current—both warm and soft.
Shen Lishu is truly wonderful.
The first thing An Rongrong did after getting home was stand at the door to message Shen Lishu. Then, she opened the door, turned on the lights, kicked off her high heels, and unhooked her bra. Only after finishing that “one-breath” routine did she comfortably brew her sober-up tea and take a shower.
Before going to bed, An Rongrong sent a message to Director Mao:
“Director Mao, today the Goddess saved me from a tight spot, I sat in the Goddess’s car, I was sent home by the Goddess’s driver, and I even exchanged contact info with the Goddess!”
Director Mao might have been reading a script and wasn’t asleep yet; about a minute later, he sent An Rongrong a “middle-aged person” meme.

An Rongrong: “…”
An Rongrong silently protested. She and the Goddess were “Legendary Love,” okay!
After all, in their new drama Indulgence, they were a couple—the “doing it” kind.
