Essentially, this is a story about an original male lead who fights, struggles, and eventually triumphs over a “villain redemption” script to reclaim his spot as the protagonist.

Hua Lang had a soft spot for a specific villain in a web novel a character who was as beautiful as he was tragic, only to be unceremoniously killed off due to the author’s lazy ending.

After unexpectedly transmigrating into the book, Hua Lang rolled up her sleeves, determined to save her favorite little villain. She spent her days slapping down any monster or demon that dared stand in her way… until one of those slaps accidentally landed right on the face of the original story’s male lead.

Even though she’d offended the protagonist, Hua Lang wasn’t worried. After antagonizing him to her heart’s content, she happily faked her death and skipped away to a new life with a fresh identity provided by her System.

Only to run into the male lead again. Her disguise failed, she offended him once more, and a panicked Hua Lang faked her death a second time.

The Third Time: She ran into him again. Death faked. The Fourth Time: Faked her death again. The Nth Time: After constant trial and error, Hua Lang finally succeeded in raising the villain into a righteous Grandmaster of the Immortal Path. But wait, why did the original male lead, who was supposed to become the world’s top practitioner of the “Emotionless Dao,” end up becoming the Demon Venerable?

As he slowly closed in on her, Hua Lang could only laugh nervously: Well, I think I’ve officially overdone it.

Xie Hanjing once believed that he and his Master shared a mutual love, and that their marriage was the natural destiny of their bond.

That was until Hua Lang, dressed in her wedding crimson, looked him in the eye and whispered tenderly, “Don’t be afraid.”

Then, she plunged a sword straight through his chest.

He survived, wanting nothing more than to ask her what those words meant, only to be toyed with and cast into the abyss once again. A heart full of devotion had invited nothing but a fatal betrayal. He should have hated her, but before he even had the chance to let that hatred take root, he received news of her death.

One-liner: If you gave this angst-ridden script to anyone else, they’d go insane too!
