I Just Want to be a Throwaway Character - Chapter 43
Chapter 43: The Drunken Rascal
The little deer suddenly moved. She saw the beautiful person from her memories and immediately pounced on her without hesitation. “Mm, a hug,” her soft, spoiled voice made Jiang Zhi Li’s heart tremble, her gaze growing intense.
Ji Wan slowly climbed onto the beautiful woman’s lap, wrapping her arms around her neck and refusing to let go. With the sudden height change, Jiang Zhi Li’s graceful body was on full display. As their soft, smooth skin pressed against each other, Jiang Zhi Li’s body went stiff, her composure shattered. This familiar scene… She wrapped her arms around the drunken Ji Wan’s waist, afraid she would fall into the water.
Ji Wan restlessly shifted in her arms. Jiang Zhi Li’s face was flushed, and a hint of helplessness entered her expression. “This little rascal.” She pinned Ji Wan’s hands behind her back. “Stop moving. Be good.”
But a drunken Ji Wan wouldn’t listen. She couldn’t touch the beautiful person she was looking at, and she grew anxious. Fueled by alcohol, she moved her face forward. The momentum was too great, and Ji Wan’s small, white teeth bumped against Jiang Zhi Li’s delicate lips, leaving a deep bite mark.
“Hiss! Ji Wan, are you a dog?” Jiang Zhi Li was caught off guard and a small rascal had succeeded. She helplessly held Ji Wan’s chin with one hand, looking at her. Ji Wan seemed to realize she had done something wrong and went still, her hazy, drunken eyes fixed on Jiang Zhi Li’s lips, looking like a total pervert.
“Do you want to kiss me?” Jiang Zhi Li asked softly, rubbing Ji Wan’s chin, her voice seductive and enticing.
Ji Wan didn’t respond. The alcohol had made her light-headed. She saw many beautiful mirages, but she couldn’t catch them. “Mm, a hug,” Ji Wan whimpered, feeling wronged that she couldn’t move or touch the beauty in her mirage.
Jiang Zhi Li was amused, watching Ji Wan squirm on her lap. But her amusement quickly faded. The friction of their skin against each other was making it hard for her to maintain control. “Stop moving!” Jiang Zhi Li said, feigning a strict tone.
But Ji Wan’s eyes welled up with tears, and silent, pitiful tears began to fall. Jiang Zhi Li had a headache. Why is she so spoiled when she’s drunk?
“Alright, don’t cry, I’ll hug you.” Jiang Zhi Li pulled Ji Wan into her arms, resting her chin on Ji Wan’s shoulder. Her voice was gentle as she soothed the crying girl. “It’s okay, I’m here.”
But Ji Wan wasn’t satisfied. She restlessly shifted on Jiang Zhi Li’s shoulder, finally settling in a way that made Jiang Zhi Li go completely rigid. A flush of heat rose to her cheeks. Ji Wan had pressed her lips against Jiang Zhi Li’s collarbone and was licking it like a puppy. Her voice was still whiny and tearful, as if Jiang Zhi Li was doing something terrible to her.
“Ji Wan!” Jiang Zhi Li said, her voice filled with a mixture of anger and embarrassment.
Jiang Zhi Li grabbed Ji Wan’s chin and pulled her out of her embrace. “Do you know what you’re doing?” Without the beautiful woman’s arms around her, Ji Wan’s mouth drooped, and more tears threatened to fall. But Jiang Zhi Li looked at her with a blank expression, showing no sympathy. Ji Wan looked confused at the woman who had just been so gentle. Now, she was looking at her coldly with an expression she couldn’t understand. Ji Wan seemed oblivious to her increasingly dangerous situation. She still struggled to bury herself back into Jiang Zhi Li’s embrace.
Jiang Zhi Li decided to dunk Ji Wan in the water to sober her up. But seeing Ji Wan immediately struggle and start to sink, she finally went over, pulled her out, and held her in her arms. Their skin was now completely pressed together. Ji Wan, dripping wet, wrapped her arms around Jiang Zhi Li’s neck, her body weak. Her mind was still a blur.
“Are you sober now?” Jiang Zhi Li’s voice was soft in Ji Wan’s ear.
The only reply she got was Ji Wan’s confused, hazy eyes. Jiang Zhi Li sighed. She had to take this drunk girl back soon. She was afraid that if they stayed any longer, she wouldn’t be the only one who lost control.
But the drunk girl clearly didn’t want to make things easy for her. Seeing Ji Wan’s face coming closer again, Jiang Zhi Li slightly turned her head. Ji Wan’s warm lips landed on her cheek. “Ji Wan, stop moving, mmm…” Jiang Zhi Li tried to tell Ji Wan to calm down, but the next second, Ji Wan’s hands pressed against her face, forcing her to accept Ji Wan’s “gnawing.”
Yes, it wasn’t a kiss; it was a rough, disorderly gnawing. Her soft lips were kneaded without mercy. Jiang Zhi Li’s eyes grew completely dark.
“You’re the one who provoked me,” Jiang Zhi Li said, pinching Ji Wan’s chin and looking at her innocent, round eyes. The next second, Jiang Zhi Li taught the drunk girl what a real kiss was.
The small fish in the water played with each other, rubbing their smooth scales together. The temperature of the water rose, and the oxygen began to decrease. The small fish couldn’t handle the heat. She tried to escape, but the heat only intensified. Ji Wan’s tears fell again, and her hazy eyes showed fear. She tried to break free, but every time she did and took a breath, she was pulled back again. Over and over, a hellish descent.
Ji Wan completely received her “extracurricular” lesson from Jiang Zhi Li on what a kiss was. When Jiang Zhi Li finally carried the hiccuping, crying girl back to the hotel room, Ji Wan’s lips were slightly swollen, and her eyes were filled with tears. She was weak in Jiang Zhi Li’s arms, her expression confused, lost, and afraid. Her eyes were red, either from the steam of the hot springs or from crying. She looked so pitiful.
The alcohol hadn’t worn off yet. Even though Ji Wan had been thoroughly bullied by Jiang Zhi Li, she still clung to her. Jiang Zhi Li lovingly stroked her flushed cheeks. Looking at Ji Wan’s wronged and adorable expression, her desire for her surged again. But Jiang Zhi Li held back. It wasn’t time yet. The little white rabbit had to be completely trapped by the big bad wolf before she could be savored.
…
The Morning After: A Hilarious Misunderstanding
The next morning, Ji Wan woke up with a headache, her eyes groggy. Where am I? But seeing Jiang Zhi Li’s face so close, sound asleep, Ji Wan instantly sobered up. When did I start sleeping with Jiang Zhi Li? And under the same blanket? Seeing Jiang Zhi Li’s beautiful face next to her, Ji Wan’s cheeks turned a shameful red. She also noticed Jiang Zhi Li’s lips seemed a little swollen.
Ji Wan didn’t want to disturb Jiang Zhi Li and tried to get out of bed quietly. But before she could move, a hand grabbed her wrist. The next second, Ji Wan found herself in a soft, fragrant embrace. “Where are you going?” Jiang Zhi Li’s husky, lazy voice asked.
Ji Wan’s face, buried in Jiang Zhi Li’s arms, turned red to the tips of her ears. Ah! Why is her voice so sexy? Ji Wan shyly tried to pull away, but the hand on her waist tightened. Is Jiang Zhi Li still half-asleep? Why is she hugging me with that weird, embarrassing voice?
“Uh… Director Jiang, I’m… I’m getting up,” Ji Wan said politely.
But Jiang Zhi Li didn’t let go. She lowered her head, meeting Ji Wan’s avoiding gaze. “What’s wrong? Did you forget what happened last night? Still trying to play dumb?”
Huh? Ji Wan was confused. Her memory stopped at drinking Jiang Zhi Li’s sake. Did I… get drunk and beat up Jiang Zhi Li?! Ji Wan looked at the swollen marks on Jiang Zhi Li’s lips with a guilty conscience. Damn it. Jiang Zhi Li is never going to forgive me. She’d probably hold a grudge and take revenge on her when she returned to the Ji family. Ji Wan’s mind went into overdrive, imagining the horrible ways Jiang Zhi Li would torment her. Will she make me pay her back with my body?!
“I’m… I’m so sorry, Director Jiang. I… I was wrong,” Ji Wan said, chickening out at the thought of her one thousand ways to die.
“Hmm? What were you wrong about?” Jiang Zhi Li’s eyes held a mischievous calculation.
“I… I shouldn’t have drunk your sake,” Ji Wan said nervously.
Jiang Zhi Li didn’t say anything, just kept staring at Ji Wan’s panicked eyes.
“I also shouldn’t have… after I drank…” Ji Wan stammered. She couldn’t bring herself to say that she had hit Jiang Zhi Li in her face. It was like tearing a wound open, especially for someone like Jiang Zhi Li, who seemed so concerned with her image.
“After you drank, what?” Jiang Zhi Li didn’t let Ji Wan off the hook, a faint smile on her lips.
“After I drank, I hit you and made your lips swollen!” Ji Wan said, gritting her teeth and hardening her heart.
The atmosphere suddenly went quiet. Ji Wan felt a bone-chilling coldness emanating from Jiang Zhi Li. “Ji Wan, how long are you going to keep pretending?” Jiang Zhi Li’s voice was like an ice blade. Ji Wan shivered.
“Pretending… to be what?” Ji Wan was baffled. Did I do something even worse?!
But Jiang Zhi Li just got up and left the bed without answering. “Uh, Director… Director Jiang, I’m sorry. I usually black out and forget what happens when I drink. If I did something bad, I’ll atone for it,” Ji Wan said, getting up quickly. But her sincere apology didn’t soften Jiang Zhi Li’s expression. She just got ready and left the room without a single look at Ji Wan.
What did I do to deserve this?! Ji Wan thought, looking at Jiang Zhi Li’s stony face. Will she take terrible revenge on me? She grew more and more scared.
Ji Wan walked into the bathroom, her mood utterly defeated. She frantically ran her hand through her already messy hair. But when she saw her reflection, she was shocked. Her eyes were red, and her lips were swollen. She looked like she had been badly bullied. No wonder my mouth feels so sore. It’s swollen!
Damn it! I’m never drinking again! I’m allergic to alcohol! Ji Wan didn’t once consider that her swollen lips were Jiang Zhi Li’s fault. She looks so proper. There’s no way she would have hit me back after I hit her.
When Ji Wan finally appeared in front of everyone, she felt their eyes on her again, even stranger and more excited than before. Their gaze was subtle but constant.
