I Got A Girlfriend After Losing My Memory (Transmigration) - Chapter 1
Her mind was a mess, and throbbing pain made her extremely distressed.
In a daze, she saw the vehicle barreling toward her.
A pair of beautiful, amber-colored eyes showed no sign of panic, as if she had expected this outcome. A huge crash followed immediately.
The woman’s slender figure crumpled to the ground. Bright red blood flowed from her body, soaking her clothes and spreading across the pavement.

When Tang Fuzhi opened her eyes, the first thing she saw was a stretch of white ceiling. The faint, distinctive smell of hospital disinfectant hung in the air.
Her head felt swollen and blank. Instinctively, she reached up to touch her forehead.
“Hiss—”
It hurt so much.
Only then did she realize her head must be injured. Recalling the scene that had just flashed through her mind, and seeing the IV drip in the back of her pale hand, she thought:
So… was that scene what happened right before my car accident?
But who was she? And why did that car hit her?
Tang Fuzhi tried desperately to access her memories.
Her head only throbbed more violently, a sudden spike of pain, as if several fine needles were stuck inside her skull.
Even enduring the sharp pain, her search yielded nothing. Apart from the semi-dreamlike memory of the crash, she couldn’t recall anything—not who she was, nor where she came from.
Just then, a “pat-da” sound of the door opening came from the entrance.
Tang Fuzhi instinctively looked over. A woman in a white nurse’s uniform pushed a small cart and walked in.
The nurse had expected today to be the same as the last three months, seeing Tang Fuzhi lying in bed with her eyes closed. To her surprise, she walked in to see the frail figure in the blue and white striped hospital gown actually propped up against the headboard!
Due to the accident, her complexion was noticeably pale and bloodless.
Even though Tao Ran had taken meticulous care of her, the serious injury had ultimately caused her to become even thinner.
The hospital gown that had once fit her perfectly now seemed overly large, unable to conceal her collarbone, which practically jutted out. The sight was truly heartbreaking.
The nurse gasped in obvious astonishment.
“Miss Tang, you’re finally awake! If CEO Tao finds out you’re awake, she’ll be so happy!”
Saying this, she quickly put down the cart and activated the call system, eager to report Tang Fuzhi’s condition to the doctor.
This was a VIP private ward, and the call system here connected directly to the doctor’s office for the convenience of keeping them updated on the VIP patient’s status.
Tang Fuzhi quietly listened to the nurse report her situation to the doctor. At least now she knew her last name.
As for that “CEO Tao”, she sounded like a very influential person. Was she her friend?
Unfortunately, she still couldn’t recall this person, but somehow, the surname felt faintly familiar, and there was a strange urge to be closer to her.
It was better to ask than to overthink it.
The nurse had just finished her report. Given the feeling of familiarity she had toward the title “CEO Tao,” Tang Fuzhi decided to ask about the CEO first, instead of her own identity.
“Sister, who is the ‘CEO Tao’ you mentioned? Is she my friend?”
The softness of her tone couldn’t be concealed, despite her voice being a bit hoarse from disuse.
Tang Fuzhi realized her voice sounded odd. She gave a slight cough and swallowed, trying to clear her throat.
A girl who looked so gentle and sweet calling her ‘Sister’ made the nurse’s heart melt.
However, Tang Fuzhi’s words caused the smile on the nurse’s face to freeze slightly. She hadn’t expected Tang Fuzhi to wake up in this condition and hesitated.
“You… don’t remember anything?”
Oh no. Miss Tang finally woke up, and she has amnesia, too.
How sad CEO Tao would be if she found out.
Tang Fuzhi recalled the dream she’d just had.
It must be true, she thought.
After all, she genuinely couldn’t remember anything besides that dream.
“CEO Tao is a friend of yours, sort of. But you’re missing one word.”
Tang Fuzhi was confused. Either she was or she wasn’t—why the uncertainty?
The nurse’s smile became mischievous. “She is your girlfriend.”
Thinking of how Tao Ran had tirelessly taken care of Tang Fuzhi these past few months, the nurse couldn’t help but say a bit more, a sweet expression of shipping a couple spreading across her face.
“You have no idea! When CEO Tao found out you were in a car accident and admitted to the hospital, the look on her face was terrifying.”
The nurse continued, pouring Tang Fuzhi a glass of water, “You’ve been lying here for three months, and CEO Tao comes to see you every day. Her care for you has been absolutely meticulous…”
Tang Fuzhi listened silently, piecing together the image of a perfect girlfriend from the nurse’s account—one who was exceptionally gentle and attentive.
She took the water the nurse handed her, instinctively gripping the lower part of the cup, avoiding contact with the nurse’s hand.
She took a sip of the plain water, and the warmth soothed her dry throat.
Much better.
From the nurse’s words, she guessed her relationship with this CEO Tao must have been good, but unfortunately, she’d forgotten all of it.
I wonder what this ‘CEO Tao’ looks like. If she’s too ugly, I definitely can’t acknowledge her →_→
The nurse was still chattering away at the bedside when the door to the ward opened again. Tang Fuzhi looked up and saw a woman, though most of her body was obscured.
Upon seeing Tao Ran enter, with her perpetually cold and distant expression, the nurse automatically fell silent.
Having spent so much time here, the nurse had gotten a feel for Tao Ran’s personality. She knew that all of Tao Ran’s gentleness was reserved only for Tang Fuzhi, while toward everyone else, she maintained that same severe, unsmiling demeanor.
The nurse quietly left the ward, closing the door behind her and leaving the room to the two of them.
Only then did Tang Fuzhi get a full view of the woman in the doorway. Her black hair just skimmed her shoulders. Her brows were faintly furrowed, giving her an unapproachable look. Her beautiful, soulful ‘peach blossom’ eyes were slightly lowered, making her emotions hard to read, and her lips were gently pressed together, conveying a sense of seriousness.
Although she wasn’t sure who the woman in front of her was, Tang Fuzhi had to admit that her appearance was exactly her type.
The woman was wearing a white shirt underneath a light-grey suit jacket, and her long, straight legs were impossible to ignore, even covered by matching suit trousers. She looked utterly capable and professional, making it hard to connect her with the “gentle CEO Tao” the nurse had described.
Because of this, Tang Fuzhi felt a moment of uncertainty about the woman’s identity. Seeing that the woman wasn’t speaking, she took the initiative. “You are…”
The woman’s red lips curved into a slight smile. She walked over to Tang Fuzhi’s side, her voice incredibly soft.
“Tangtang, have you forgotten? I’m your girlfriend. My name is Tao Ran.”
Then, Tao Ran leaned down and placed a gentle kiss on Tang Fuzhi’s forehead.
The soft kiss carried a faint scent of clean cedar, which seemed to emanate from Tao Ran. Tang Fuzhi lowered her eyes, recalling her earlier, instinctive avoidance when the nurse offered her the water cup.
Yet, facing this woman’s kiss, she felt no resistance whatsoever.
Judging by her body’s instinctive reaction, the suspicion in Tang Fuzhi’s heart gradually began to fade.
