SOS! I’ve transmigrated as the “vicious stepsister” of a legendary protagonist in a “no-romance” power novel. What do I do?
Ni Song’an finds herself physically transported into the world of her favorite novel a gritty, “lone wolf” story centered on a powerful female lead. Unfortunately, she’s taken on the role of the protagonist’s cruel stepsister.
After weighing her options, Ni Song’an decides to keep her head down, avoid the drama, and focus on her studies. But when faced with the younger version of the protagonist, she finds it impossible to remain distant.
The original novel used every superlative to describe the protagonist’s purity, kindness, and bravery. Now, seeing her in the flesh, Ni Song’an is utterly captivated. The girl’s soft blonde hair and crystal-blue eyes hit every one of her aesthetic preferences. Every time those clear blue eyes gaze at her, Ni Song’an’s heart softens. One act of kindness leads to another, and their relationship grows increasingly intimate.
Ni Song’an tries to comfort herself: Maybe if I stay on the protagonist’s good side, I can avoid my tragic ending.
But why is the protagonist getting so clingy?
After being stolen a kiss by the now-adult protagonist, a dazed Ni Song’an wonders: Did I accidentally trigger some hidden romantic subplot?
To clear her head, Ni Song’an leaves the protagonist’s side and goes on a long solo vacation, hoping to soothe her fluttering heart. However, she runs into the protagonist again—this time, the girl is crouching in front of Ni Song’an’s rental house, scratching at the door with her fingers.
When the girl turns around and sees Ni Song’an standing there in shock, her eyes well up. She pouts and lunges forward, burying her face in the crook of Ni Song’an’s neck.
“How could you leave without saying goodbye, Sister?”
“You’ve been gone so long… why won’t you come back?”
“If you just coax me a little, I won’t be sad anymore.”
