Luo Yan transmigrated into a novel.
At the start, her family is ruined and everyone dead. According to the plot, she’s supposed to head to the capital, meet the male lead, and die protecting him, as his pure, untouchable white moonlight.
Instead, Luo Yan decisively turns around, picking up a handsome, gentle-looking boy along the way, and hides away in a quiet mountain village.
Everything seems peaceful until her long-delayed system finally activates:
- The male lead’s fate has yet to unfold. Go online immediately.
- Your childhood sweetheart is the villain.
Luo Yan waves a hand dismissively. “Impossible.”
But when the boy tilts his head with a soft smile and calmly grinds a severed finger into the mud beneath his heel…
the system falls silent.
…
Forced by the plot to leave, Luo Yan writes a farewell letter, telling Zhu Yun to be good and wait for her. Then she seizes the right moment to “die” before the male lead.
As her consciousness fades, she vaguely sees him stumbling through the crowd, desperately trying to reach her…
When she opens her eyes again, two years have passed.
The system howls in panic:
“Host! The villain is about to kill the male lead!”
Luo Yan struggles out of her ice coffin.
“Don’t slander my Yun.”
…
A stormy night.
Stepping over piles of corpses, Luo Yan finds a young man standing tall atop a ruined temple.
She hesitantly calls out, “A-Yun.”
The youth doesn’t seem surprised, he only smiles faintly, lightning flashing across a face too beautiful, too unhinged.
“This substitute looks quite like her. Tell me, how would you like to die?”
Luo Yan stumbles back in terror.
“S-system… my childhood sweetheart really is the villain.”
