Being Qin Qiao’s assistant was not an easy job. Han Fufu had heard from company staff that Qin Qiao had always been very wary of the personal assistant position and frequently rotated people in the role.

“Sister Fu, I really think CEO Qin is so good to you.” The new intern in the secretary’s office was young and dared to say anything, but she was very nice and loved chatting with Fu Fu whenever she could.

Recently, Qin Qiao had been extremely busy, coupled with Han Fufu and Fu Yan secretly obstructing her, it was clear that her life wouldn’t be easy for a while.

“Is that so?” Han Fufu, with nothing to do, tidied up the documents on the desk.

The intern’s mouth dropped open. “You…”

“Just kidding. How could I have the money or the confidence to get a gland transplant?” Han Fufu smiled faintly.

The intern looked at Han Fufu’s unfathomable eyes and, for a moment, felt that this person’s eyes were full of stories and… calculations.

“True.”

“Get back to work.”

“Okay.” The intern was startled as Han Fufu turned her head to deal with other things. She felt a shiver. If this person continued to stay by CEO Qin’s side, it felt like something bad might happen.

However, such private matters were not for an intern to worry about.

Han Fufu retracted her edge and walked to her desk.

She hadn’t been sitting for long before the phone on her desk rang.

“Come downstairs.” Qin Qiao said those two words crisply and hung up.

If it were her old personality, she wouldn’t have made the call herself; she would have asked her secretary to do it. The fact that she called Fu Fu personally meant she was already taking Fu Fu seriously.

Han Fufu immediately grabbed her personal belongings and went downstairs to find Qin Qiao.

Qin Qiao, standing in front of the commercial car and smoking a cigarette, had her long hair blowing in the wind. When she looked down at the ground, her expression, softened by physical and mental relaxation, made her look very gentle.

Han Fufu was once captivated by this look of Qin Qiao. Now, she might still feel a flutter, but she would never entertain any improper thoughts again.

“Fufu, get in the car.” Qin Qiao saw her approach, said in a cool voice, extinguished the cigarette, and tossed it into her portable ashtray.

Han Fufu could sense that Qin Qiao was somewhat tired and not in a very good mood, seemingly troubled by something.

Once in the car, Han Fufu learned that Qin Qiao was taking her to a movie premiere. Qin Qiao had invested in the film, which starred big names.

“Stick close to me later. Just act like my lover. Don’t worry about anything else,” Qin Qiao closed her eyes. “I’m going to rest for a bit. Wake me up when we arrive.”

Han Fufu’s voice was gentle. “Okay.”

Watching Qin Qiao’s breathing become light, Han Fufu’s face also grew cold. She had the patience to act affectionate in front of Qin Qiao, but not much more.

The car drove smoothly for over an hour. Han Fufu didn’t sleep at all because Fu Yan was messaging her.

Fu Yan was getting ready to make her move. The preliminary work was almost done, and now she needed Han Fufu to provide internal information frequently.

After chatting for a long time, Han Fufu noticed Fu Yan started talking about daily life.

For example, she was going to eat, going to a meeting, or doing some work.

When they entered, the attendees for the premiere were mostly seated.

Under the spotlight, Qin Qiao walked in with her assistant.

After they sat down, a beautiful Omega dressed in a haute couture gown walked up to Qin Qiao, greeted her, and then enthusiastically sat in the empty seat on Qin Qiao’s other side.

“CEO Qin, are you going to the evening banquet? Can I be your companion?” The Omega’s lips were vibrant, and her entire demeanor was alluring. No Alpha could possibly remain unmoved.

But Qin Qiao was unfazed, her expression harsh as she said to her, “Is the seat next to me somewhere you can sit?”

“This…” The Omega looked embarrassed and slowly stood up, but she didn’t want to leave, attempting to act spoiled to soften Qin Qiao. “CEO Qin, you clearly said you liked my acting. I…”

“You know in your heart who you modeled your acting after,” Qin Qiao paused. “You’ve become a huge star just by learning two-tenths of her skill. Do you truly think you’ve succeeded? The Omega’s face became very unpleasant. She had nothing to say and could only walk away with a stiff expression.

After Qin Qiao drove the person away, no other beautiful Omega dared to come up and flatter her.

As she opened the lounge door, Han Fufu looked toward the end of the corridor. Wasn’t that Fu Yan?

Han Fufu first checked that there was no one from Qin Qiao’s side around before walking towards Fu Yan.

“Why did you come?” Han Fufu’s tone suggested reproach for being reckless.

Fu Yan grinned. “I happened to be nearby. When I heard Qin Qiao was coming, I knew you would be here too.”

“Oh, is there something you need?” Han Fufu folded her arms.

Fu Yan awkwardly poked her cheek. “Well… I haven’t seen you in a while, so I dropped by to see you.”

“We shouldn’t meet unless necessary. Aren’t you afraid of being seen by Qin Qiao?” Han Fufu asked.

Fu Yan placed her hand on Han Fufu’s back. “If we’re seen, I’ll just say I was harassing you. It’s fine, I’ll take the blame.”

“Instead of finding time to look for me, you should be working more,” Han Fufu wanted to leave because she didn’t know when Qin Qiao would come looking for her.

Fu Yan quickly grabbed Han Fufu’s hand. “If you ask me, why don’t you…”

“Let go.” Han Fufu directly cut off Fu Yan’s sentence. “Don’t think improper thoughts. We only have a collaborative relationship.”

“Why can’t I think more? I’m not her.” Fu Yan said.

Han Fufu was silent for a moment, then looked up at Fu Yan. “If you help me accomplish everything, I’ll consider trying things out with you. But, I will be an Alpha in the future.”

“You’re going to get a gland transplant again?” Fu Yan’s gaze shifted to the scar on the back of Han Fufu’s neck.

This act of looking at the back of her neck carried a hint of ambiguity. Han Fufu quickly covered her neck and looked up. “Yes, I’m just getting my original gland back.”

“Are you crazy? Do you know that the place where your gland is stored is constantly being monitored by Qin Qiao?” Fu Yan shook her head. “If you want to keep your identity a secret, you can’t get that gland. Do you want Qin Qiao to know you’re not dead?”

“Of course I want her to know, but not now.” Han Fufu pointed to her neck. “So the transplant won’t be now either.”

“You’ve promised me anyway. As long as I help you achieve your goal, you will agree to one request of mine.” Fu Yan smiled. “Our Miss Han wouldn’t go back on her word, right?”

“You.” Han Fufu instantly raised her hand to cover Fu Yan’s mouth. “Don’t call me that in public.”

Fu Yan nodded. “Alright, my mistake.”

“You should go. Your presence here will attract Qin Qiao’s attention,” Han Fufu urged.

Fu Yan indeed had no reason to stay, so she had no choice but to leave.

Han Fufu sighed in relief and casually headed toward the restroom.

As she was about to exit the restroom, she bumped into someone head-on.

“Ouch!” The woman shrieked in a sharp voice.

Han Fufu looked up. Oh, it was the Omega who had just tried to approach Qin Qiao.

The Omega, bumped, immediately stood up from the floor and tried to slap Han Fufu, but her wrist was caught by Han Fufu.

The Omega, already in a bad mood, glared furiously when she saw that the person holding her wrist was Han Fufu. “What are you, that you dare to treat me like this? Don’t you watch where you’re going?”

“Excuse me, Miss, what did I do?” Han Fufu smiled sweetly, completely unfazed.

The Omega glared at Han Fufu. “It’s all your fault! If it weren’t for you, CEO Qin and I would have already been together!”

“Oh, is that so?” Han Fufu shrugged. “Then what do you like about her?”

Before the Omega could answer, Han Fufu interrupted. “You like her face, her money? Besides those, she has nothing else but cold-heartedness and cruelty.”

“Nonsense! What’s wrong with me liking CEO Qin? You’re just jealous of me!” The Omega had a terrible temper. As she spoke, she tried to shove Han Fufu.

Han Fufu pushed the Omega back. The Omega first stabilized herself, then glanced behind Han Fufu, and quickly fell backward onto the ground.

“Sister, why did you push me?” The Omega rubbed her eyes, curled her legs, and lay on the floor looking vulnerable.

Han Fufu heard footsteps behind her. She didn’t need to look to know it was Qin Qiao, otherwise, the Omega wouldn’t have suddenly thrown herself to the ground submissively.

Who still uses such a low-level tactic?

Han Fufu found it amusing.

“CEO Qin, I don’t know what I did to offend your assistant. She treated me like this…” The Omega pressed her knuckles to her lower eyelids, forcing out a few tears.

Fu Fu turned her head. She wondered if Qin Qiao would believe this small celebrity.

Han Fufu feigned innocence as she looked at Qin Qiao. “Qiao Qiao, I…”

“You pushed her?” Qin Qiao asked, folding her arms.

A flicker of triumph crossed the Omega’s face.

“I did not,” Han Fufu said.

Qin Qiao walked closer to Fu Fu. “You did not? Why are you being so polite to this kind of person? You are mine. What if you did push a minor celebrity?”

Han Fufu was stunned, but quickly regained her composure. Indeed, Qin Qiao was exactly this kind of person. When Qin Qiao cared about someone, even if they were a stand-in, she would be immensely tolerant. If she didn’t care about someone, no matter how much that person threw themselves at her, they wouldn’t have a good outcome.

“Fufu, you can treat her however you like. She’s just a minor actress. You don’t need to feel burdened,” Qin Qiao turned away. “I’m leaving first. Handle this and come back to me. I can’t stand you being too far away from me.”

“Yes,” Han Fufu replied.

After Qin Qiao left, Han Fufu faced the small celebrity and raised her chin. “Alright, get up.”

“You… you’re not going to hit me a couple of times to vent your anger?” The Omega’s face was not looking good. She was more afraid that Fu Fu would later whisper in Qin Qiao’s ear and take revenge on her.

Han Fufu knew what the small celebrity was thinking. She smiled. “Of course, I won’t make things difficult for you, nor will I take out my anger on you.”

“Then what do you want?” The Omega saw the expression on the assistant’s face change, becoming eerily similar to the Han Fufu of the past.

“Help me with a favor, and I won’t make things difficult for you,” Han Fufu smiled faintly.
