- Chapter 28.1 - The Springtime in Her Eyes, Remembering Last Night's Teary Gaze
Xie Mingyao quickly realized what Ye Qingyu meant by “another way.” She stared in shock at the usually aloof and restrained Ye Qingyu, who, right before her eyes, began unhurriedly undoing and removing her clothes.
Under the bright moonlight, her fair, delicate fingers shimmered with a faint jade-like glow. As each button was undone, the overwhelming wave of intimacy nearly suffocated Xie Mingyao.
Xie Mingyao desperately tried to avert her gaze, struggling fiercely. “Y-you Ye Qingyu, how dare you touch me! Don’t think just because you’ve become powerful now, you can bully me like this I—”
The crisp sound of bells echoed continuously in the room as a slender, porcelain-like figure writhed.
Ye Qingyu’s eyes darkened, her gaze unwavering. Once all the clothes had silently pooled on the floor, she picked up the open box from the nightstand and emptied its contents onto the bed.
Xie Mingyao’s eyes widened in both shock and embarrassment at the sight of the scandalous items scattered across the bed. Her clear, almond-shaped eyes regarded Ye Qingyu as if she were some kind of beast.
Never in her wildest dreams would she have imagined that someone as untouchable as the “flower on the high peak” would possess such indecent things. It was truly—
Never judge a book by its cover? A wolf in sheep’s clothing?
Xie Mingyao choked back her words, utterly unable to find an appropriate description.
Ye Qingyu’s expression softened as her tall frame slowly leaned down, her shadow enveloping Xie Mingyao once more before she pressed her lips against those soft, trembling ones.
Xie Mingyao’s pupils constricted sharply. Her hands, bound above her head, instinctively clenched into fists. It took her a long moment to process.
She had actually been kissed!
Her throat bobbed as she angrily tried to bite Ye Qingyu’s tongue. But Ye Qingyu, who had been watching her closely, swiftly dodged and instead retaliated with a punishing nip at the corner of her lips.
“Biting me?” Ye Qingyu withdrew slightly, lifting her gaze. Her dark eyes studied Xie Mingyao calmly.
Strands of soft black hair brushed against Xie Mingyao’s cheeks. Suppressing the fluttering in her chest, she glared at the breathtakingly beautiful face mere inches away and gritted out, “Shameless.”
“And this is shameless?” Ye Qingyu chuckled lightly, observing Xie Mingyao’s flushed cheeks from the kiss. Delicate fingers pinched her face, causing the soft flesh to dimple slightly and her plump lips to part.
Ye Qingyu kissed her again. This time, Xie Mingyao couldn’t resist, and by the end, her eyes were red-rimmed, glistening with unshed tears, looking utterly pitiful.
Unwilling to appear so disheveled, Xie Mingyao bit down hard on her swollen, kiss-bruised lower lip. Yet her rapid breathing made her chest rise and fall dramatically, exuding an irresistible allure.
“So inexperienced. Was that your first kiss?” Ye Qingyu’s eyes crinkled with faint amusement as she gently kissed Xie Mingyao’s blushing eyelids and the vivid teardrop mole beneath her eye, murmuring softly.
Though she had long known Xie Mingyao had never been with anyone during her time abroad, experiencing it firsthand still filled Ye Qingyu with indescribable delight.
Xie Mingyao, however, felt that Ye Qingyu was mocking her. She refused to be laughed at by her romantic rival and glared at her, sneering, “You think I’m like you? I had a great time abroad not only did I kiss Yanfeng many times, but I also kissed plenty of other guys.”
The smile on Ye Qingyu’s face froze for a moment. She stopped kissing, lifted her head to look at the other girl, her gaze dark and intense, her expression terrifying.
Xie Mingyao felt a chill run down her spine under that stare, her eyes darting away nervously. Still, she mustered her courage and snapped, “What are you staring at? Trying to get back at me like this? You’re still too green!”
Despite being the most naive one here, she didn’t hesitate to say such things without a hint of guilt. If Ye Qingyu hadn’t already known the truth, she might have really gotten angry. But even though it wasn’t true, hearing Xie Mingyao deliberately provoke her still upset her.
She really wanted to teach this young miss a lesson, to make sure she never said such hurtful words again. But if she actually did it, she couldn’t bear to.
This person was as precious as a treasure, someone she only wanted to cradle in her palms, even if it meant her hands bled from the thorns, even if it left her battered and bruised.
Ye Qingyu slowly sifted through the items spilled from the box and asked leisurely, “Which one do you like?”
Xie Mingyao, who had glanced sideways, was horrified.
She didn’t want any of them or so she claimed!!
The system had already been thrown into the “black room” and couldn’t interfere. No matter how much it fretted, it was useless. It could only pray silently that its host wouldn’t be bullied too badly. After all, the host had always been diligently following the plotline, faithfully playing her role without any intention of rebelling. So, the system still cared about her.
Xie Mingyao had no idea her system was worrying about her. Eyes shut, her face flushed red with frustration, she spat out, “Shameless.”
No matter what, the innocent young miss only had a handful of insults at her disposal. Ye Qingyu almost found it laughable.
People said the young miss was domineering and loved to bully others, but even her insults were so polite, and she even paid those she bullied. Where was the malice in that?
But Ye Qingyu had no intention of letting her easily captured young miss off the hook. If she didn’t give her an unforgettable experience, how could she make sure the young miss would remember her forever?
“Not choosing? Then that means you like them all. We’ll go through them one by one.” Ye Qingyu’s pale fingertips trailed over each item before finally picking one.
Xie Mingyao’s eyes flew open in disbelief as she stared at Ye Qingyu.
How could someone be so shameless, twisting her words like this?!
“Don’t like this one? Then how about this?” Seeing Xie Mingyao glare at her, Ye Qingyu suppressed a smile and expressionlessly picked up another.
Xie Mingyao, furious, snapped, “Get lost!”
But in the end, the stubborn Xie Mingyao, who refused to choose, ended up trying every single item Ye Qingyu had brought.
The usually aloof Ye Qingyu turned out to be surprisingly wicked in this regard, constantly whispering in her ear, asking which one she liked more.
The next day.
A pair of gold-rimmed glasses rested on the nightstand. Sunlight seeped through the gaps in the curtains, casting a glow over the young girl sleeping restlessly in bed. She was held tightly in the arms of the young woman beside her, her exposed shoulders bearing bite marks, and even the corner of her lips was slightly split.
A knock at the door roused the young girl sleeping restlessly on the large bed. Xie Mingyao woke up in a daze, her bewildered eyes staring blankly at the ceiling before shifting absentmindedly to Ye Qingyu, who was still asleep with an arm around her.
“Miss Xie, are you awake? It’s time for breakfast.” The servant at the door, receiving no response after a long pause, spoke softly.
Xie Mingyao finally replied, “I’m awake. Tell Zhou Ruohan to eat first. I’ll be down in a bit.”
No sooner had she spoken than Ye Qingyu beside her opened her eyes dark, deep, and indifferent, clearly having been awake all along, only pretending to sleep.
At the sight of her, Xie Mingyao was instantly reminded of everything that had happened the night before. Her fair face flushed with alternating shades of embarrassment and anger, her expression one of unbearable shame.
“Good morning, Ah Yao,” Ye Qingyu murmured in a low, husky voice, leaning in to press a kiss to the corner of her lips.
Xie Mingyao immediately jerked away, glaring fiercely at her, her own voice equally hoarse. “You pervert, get lost!”
