Help! Please Take the Heroine Away [Quick Transmigration] - Chapter 25.1
Ye Qingyu propped herself up on the bed, slowly leaning forward until her soft lips brushed against the corridor.
Zhao Mingyuan had one arm wrapped around Xie Mingyao’s slender waist while his other hand gripped her bare arm, exposed beyond the sleeve of her dress. The faint scent of roses drifted into his nostrils, stirring a restless heat within him.
“What a stunning beauty. To think such a rare gem would fall into my hands,” Zhao Mingyuan muttered, his murky eyes brimming with greed. His fingers, already wandering freely over Xie Mingyao’s arm, grew bolder by the second.
Even though they were still in the corridor, barely out of the restaurant, he couldn’t restrain himself any longer.
Xie Mingyao weakly shook her head, lifting a feeble hand to push away the man’s groping fingers. “Don’t touch me. Get away.”
“Stop pretending, Xie Mingyao. Your parents already sold you to me. With your family in this state, if you follow me, not only can I delay your debts and give the Xie family some breathing room, but I can also keep you living in luxury.” Unfazed by her resistance, Zhao Mingyuan pressed her against the corridor wall, leering at her flushed, enticing cheeks before reaching out to caress her face.
“Let me go! I don’t want this. Get away from me!” Terrified, Xie Mingyao regained a sliver of sobriety and struggled with all her might.
But her strength was no match for the middle-aged man. Within moments, her hair was disheveled, and the strap of her dress had slipped off her shoulder.
On the verge of losing control, Xie Mingyao lifted her foot and delivered a sharp kick to Zhao Mingyuan’s most vulnerable spot.
“Ah!” A howl of pain tore from his throat as he crumpled to the ground, clutching the injured area and writhing in agony.
Panic flickered in Xie Mingyao’s eyes, but she quickly steeled herself and bolted toward the restaurant’s first floor. Behind her, Zhao Mingyuan forced himself up despite the pain.
“Stop right there, you bitch! Don’t let me catch you!” His face twisted in fury as he staggered after her.
At the restaurant entrance, Ye Qingyu strode inside, her expression icy as she gripped her phone. “Why wasn’t I informed the moment she came here?” she demanded coldly.
Her assistant’s flustered voice came through the line. “I’m sorry, President Ye. You were in a meeting, and I didn’t think anything would happen.”
Her words trailed off weakly. Initially, she had assumed nothing would go wrong until she learned that Xie Mingyao’s parents had invited Zhao Mingyuan, the owner of one of the debt-holding companies, to dine with them.
Zhao Mingyuan’s reputation in the industry was notorious, particularly for his insatiable lust. What good could come from Xie Mingyao’s parents arranging a private meal between their daughter and such a man?
Ye Qingyu ended the call, her frosty demeanor unyielding.
Finding no sign of Xie Mingyao on the first floor, she headed for the private rooms on the second floor, brushing off a waiter who tried to approach her. Just as she reached the staircase, a figure came stumbling down,a young woman clutching her disheveled clothes as she staggered forward.
Before she could get far, Zhao Mingyuan caught up and shoved her onto a nearby table. No longer in the mood for gentleness after suffering such a blow, he glared at Xie Mingyao with venomous fury. “You dare treat me like this, you little slut? I’ll make sure you regret it!”
Ye Qingyu’s gaze fell upon the young girl. The fitted green dress accentuated her perfect, graceful figure, especially her slender waistline. The girl’s arm rested on the table, her wrist gripped by a pot-bellied man whose face, bloated with fat, was twisted in anger.
A flash of fury crossed Ye Qingyu’s eyes as she took in the scene. Without hesitation, she strode toward them.
The first-floor restaurant had several occupied tables, but most patrons minded their own business, unwilling to intervene. The waitstaff hesitated, but before they could act, the strikingly beautiful woman had already approached.
Xie Mingyao recoiled as the man’s foul breath assaulted her face at close range. She turned her head away, struggling as she silently pleaded with her system: System, when is the female lead coming? I can’t take this anymore.
If she didn’t show up soon, Xie Mingyao was seriously considering just killing this man herself!
The system replied sarcastically: What’s the rush? She’s on her way.
Xie Mingyao understood perfectly why the system was in such a foul mood. Over the past few years abroad, the female lead and male lead had made zero progress instead, they’d become bitter business rivals, known throughout City A as sworn enemies.
Hehehe, Xie Mingyao thought inwardly. The female lead had already taken the bait. Might as well let the system vent a little.
But she kept these thoughts to herself, her face a mask of righteous anger as she protested, “Let me go! Help! If you don’t stop, I’ll call the police!”
Zhao Mingyuan sneered. “The police? Your parents already sold you to me. You’re mine now!”
“I don’t believe you! My parents would never do that. Stop lying!” Xie Mingyao shot back indignantly.
Zhao Mingyuan looked down at her with contempt, gripping her chin as he leaned in to kiss her. Suddenly, a slender, delicate hand reached out, pressing against his shoulder and yanking him backward.
The obese man stumbled several steps before regaining his balance. Enraged, he bellowed, “Who the hell?”
His words died in his throat as he turned and locked eyes with a pair of icy, fathomless orbs. The woman standing before him was breathtakingly beautiful, almost ethereal.
Tall and statuesque, she wore a sharply tailored black suit, her hair pulled back in a sleek, no-nonsense updo. On anyone else, the look might have seemed outdated, but her cold, elegant features exuded an air of restrained allure.
Gold-rimmed glasses perched on her nose, yet they did nothing to soften the piercing intensity of her gaze.
The epitome of a domineering queen.
For a split second, Zhao Mingyuan was awestruck until recognition dawned, and his admiration turned to sheer terror. His face drained of color, and his bluster vanished, replaced by fawning deference. “CEO Ye! What, what brings you here?”
Ye Qingyu, towering over him in her black heels, regarded him with silent disdain. Though she said nothing, Zhao Mingyuan felt a chill crawl down his spine.
In the upper echelons of City A’s society, no one was ignorant of Ye Qingyu’s name. In just a year and a half, she had risen as a tech mogul. Many had initially dismissed her as a pretty face coasting on her looks, and some had even sought to claim her for themselves.
But in the span of two short years, she had surpassed even the wealthiest elites of City A, ascending to become one of the most formidable figures in the entire country.
Her tech company had strong ties with the state, its roots deeply entrenched like an unshakable giant tree despite being a newly minted fortune.
Zhao Mingyuan couldn’t quite figure out why Ye Qingyu had stopped him until his gaze flickered over the radiant Xie Mingyao, and a sudden suspicion dawned on him.
Could it be that she was interested in this woman?
But that didn’t make sense, Director Ye was a woman herself.
Though their circle had no shortage of people who swung both ways, Director Ye was notoriously hard to please.
She cared neither for beauty nor wealth, like an untouchable flower atop a lofty peak. Every suitor sent her way regardless of charm had been turned down, earning her a reputation for being as unyielding as stone.
Could it be that, like some men, she preferred her own gender?
With that thought, Zhao Mingyuan quickly spoke up, forcing an ingratiating smile. “Director Ye, if you’ve taken a liking to this woman, rest assured, I haven’t laid a finger on her. She’s still untouched. She’s all yours.”
Yet the more he spoke, the colder Ye Qingyu’s expression grew. Zhao Mingyuan even caught a flash of murderous intent in Xie Mingyao’s eyes terrifying enough to send a chill down his spine.
