- Having Played the Villain for Ten Years, I Came Back
- Chapter 13 - The Unexpected Guest
The night was thick and heavy, without a single flicker of starlight. Wen Linyu sat in meditation within his room, quietly waiting for certain people to come knocking at his door.
His arrays had long been set. He wasn’t sure how many would come tonight, but after a long wait, he finally sensed movement downstairs.
The noise was somewhat peculiar. He clearly heard people starting to climb the stairs, but before they reached his door, the sound abruptly vanished as if they had stopped mid-way and beat a hasty retreat.
Wen Linyu’s brow knit slightly. His intuition told him something was wrong.
Sure enough, shortly after the noise downstairs ceased, he sensed that someone had entered his room.
He was stunned. He had placed multiple layers of arrays around this room, yet this intruder had bypassed them with effortless ease. Wen Linyu immediately went on high alert; this person was no ordinary human.
Teacher had always said: if something is a threat, eliminate it first.
Linyu narrowed his eyes. As the figure drew closer, he knew he had to act. Since the arrays had failed, he would put his sword to the test.
In the darkness, Wen Linyu unleashed a strike he was confident would inflict a heavy blow.
The sword light sliced through the gloom, revealing a tall silhouette. Linyu saw clearly that his blade had found its mark, but before he could even register a sense of relief, his wrist was suddenly caught.
In a flash, his spiritual energy vanished into thin air.
Wen Linyu’s eyes filled with horror. How is this possible?
A soft chuckle rang out in the room, the tone trailing upward with amusement.
Linyu didn’t have time to dwell on the mockery. He immediately threw a palm strike, trying to put distance between them, but the intruder parried every move with perfect precision.
It was as if the opponent knew every technique he possessed.
As they clashed, that laughter grew even more pronounced. It was as if the intruder found playing with him to be a source of great entertainment.
Wen Linyu gritted his teeth and cursed under his breath, Psychopath!
In the next moment, both of his hands were seized and pinned behind his back. He was yanked forward by a powerful force, his back colliding with a hard, solid chest.
Linyu let out a muffled groan. The grip on his hands loosened slightly, and he tried to take the chance to break free, but the hands merely shifted from his wrists to seize his chin.
“If you want to kill me, you’re still a long way off,” Gu Chi laughed, his voice whispering right against Linyu’s ear.
Wen Linyu felt as if he had been struck by lightning. That voice. He forced himself to stay calm and asked in a low voice, “Who are you?” Is it Teacher? It was clearly the same voice, yet it felt different so different that he didn’t dare believe it.
Besides, why would Teacher ever come here?
Locked firmly in his arms, Gu Chi only had to look down to see the soft crown of Linyu’s head and his lips, which looked dark red in the moonlight.
As Gu Chi stared at him, he felt a fire surging in his chest. He told himself it was rage. The thought of Wen Linyu suddenly telling him he was leaving and then vanishing into thin air made his blood boil.
And he’d spent yesterday rescuing people again! Smiling with that same lack of defense!
Disobedient little disciple, hmph!
Gu Chi felt he truly needed to give him a lesson. He would start with a new lecture right now. “Who am I? You lived as me for ten years. Did you really think you could take my cultivation for free?”
Gu Chi?!
Wen Linyu froze. It was actually the real Gu Chi?
He fell into a long silence, and Gu Chi failed to notice the light in those eyes fading into a dull gray. When Linyu finally spoke again, his voice was deathly cold: “What do you want?”
What do I want? Gu Chi flexed his fingers. In the room devoid of starlight or lamps, neither of their visions was obscured.
Gu Chi’s gaze raked over Wen Linyu’s body. He wanted to see him up close one more time. He wanted to figure out exactly what was happening to himself.
Linyu had always been sensitive to the gaze of others. He felt that stare clearly as it lingered on his shoulders, his waist, and his chest. A chill spread through his limbs. For the first time, he truly wanted to kill a man.
Gu Chi leaned back against the headboard, staring at him without blinking, his expression almost eager.
He naturally saw the murderous intent and hatred in Linyu’s eyes, but he found it pleasing. A disciple of Gu Chi should be exactly like this.
Wen Linyu lowered his eyes. He had been released. His hands, previously pinned behind him, clenched into tight fists before slowly relaxing. Ultimately, he began to undress.
He couldn’t kill this man now; resistance was futile. It was better to act obedient and harmless until he found an opportunity to deliver a fatal strike!
In the pitch-black night, as Gu Chi watched Wen Linyu shed his clothes, his body went rigid once again. Not only that, but his throat felt parched.
He suddenly realized what was happening to him: carnal desire.
It was a very novel experience.
Gu Chi appreciated the view with his eyes, but it wasn’t enough. He looked at Wen Linyu, who was standing there like a statue, and said, “Come here.”
Wen Linyu’s teeth were clamped shut. He didn’t move. Gu Chi didn’t repeat the command; he simply didn’t move his gaze away from the boy’s body.
Disgusting.
Wen Linyu closed his eyes. Finally, he walked to the bed and sat down beside Gu Chi.
Now that they were closer, Gu Chi’s throat moved. He was thirsty. He instinctively reached out, tentatively stroking the back that was as white as jade.
Feeling the body beneath his palm shudder, Gu Chi felt an inexplicable surge of excitement. He no longer held back, pulling Wen Linyu firmly into his embrace.
It was as if he had discovered some wondrous new toy. He sniffed at the crook of Linyu’s neck, squeezed his shoulders, and forcefully pried open Linyu’s clenched fists to play with each individual finger.
Wen Linyu endured it, waiting for the worst.
But in the end, the man only held him tightly. He heard a satisfied sigh escape the intruder, and then. nothing else happened.
Linyu waited for a long time, but Gu Chi made no further move. At most, the hand around his waist would shift to his back, stroking him over and over again.
He was like a child holding a favorite toy, unable to let go.
Wen Linyu felt a strange sense of bewilderment, but since the demon didn’t go all the way, it was ultimately better for him. Of course, his hatred and murderous intent toward this man did not diminish in the slightest.
The night grew deeper. Surrounded by Gu Chi’s embrace, Wen Linyu lay there until morning.
In the other world, the butler who had watched Gu Chi depart stood in place for a long time before letting out a sigh.
He was really gone. So fast, so urgent.
Who is he going to see? the butler wondered. Looking back over the years, he couldn’t remember Gu Chi ever being close to anyone. Even with his subordinates, the Demon Lord had always been cold and distant.
And that expression…
The butler’s burly frame gave a sudden shiver. Could it be… could it be that the Great Demon Lord has secretly found a Dao Companion?
This.
The butler’s expression turned very strange. Honestly, the more he thought about it, the more likely it seemed!
No entity stronger than Gu Chi had appeared lately, so his excitement wasn’t due to a potential fight. If that were the case—forgive his bluntness their Demon Lord usually spent his time either cultivating or fighting. When it came to matters of love and romance, he was completely clueless.
The butler slapped his thigh. He hadn’t even thought to suggest such things to his master; he had failed in his duties!
I wonder if he even knows how to handle those. intimate affairs, the butler thought worriedly.
