There are thousands upon thousands of male supporting characters in the world. They are malicious, ruthless, or foolish; they are “experience packs” for the protagonist to level up, stepping stones for careers, and catalysts for romance.
But there is always one person who sticks in the protagonist’s heart like a bone-deep thorn.
