Golden Temptation – A Yuri Story - Chapter 99 (FINAL CHAPTER)
A month later, a grand wedding was held at the Century Hotel. The newlyweds—beaming with joy—moved from table to table, offering toasts and thanks. Watching them, Gao Zhe couldn’t help smacking her lips in disbelief.
“Who would’ve thought? That brat Yan Junye beat us all to it.”
Jing Xuan munched on the table snacks unceremoniously, following Gao Zhe’s gaze toward the happy couple.
“Yiling is a great girl. Didn’t you see how overjoyed Grandpa was? His smile almost folded all his wrinkles.”
No sooner had Jing Xuan spoken than he got thumped on the head with a cane.
“Ow!” she cried out. Speak of the devil—Old Master Yan had arrived.
“You rascal Jing! Talking behind this old man’s back, are you?”
Jing Xuan quickly got up and helped the old man sit down.
“How would I dare? You’re strong as ever. That smack really hurt!”
“By the way, where are those two wives of yours?” the old man asked.
“Grandpa, Qing’s company just went public—she’s been busy but will be here soon. Fei’er finally got her visa, and she’s on her way from campus now. I came to pave the way, haha!”
Funny how people show up the moment you mention them—Lan Qing and Qiao Fei arrived right then, each taking one of the old man’s arms.
“Grandpa, were you bullying Jing again?”
“Look at you two ganging up on me! I wouldn’t dare lay a finger—your husband’s already outnumbered!”
Laughter erupted around the table.
Liu Xinyu pulled Qiao Fei down beside her.
“I still can’t believe it—the great Miss Shen turned over a new leaf!”
Qiao Fei gave her a playful slap.
“Honestly, Yiling’s not bad at all. We just never got the chance to know her.”
“Who would’ve thought the ever-haughty Princess Shen would be tamed by Junye?”
“And you’re any different? Didn’t you get tamed by Double Lucky?”
“Fei’er! Whose side are you on?” Liu Xinyu pouted in mock anger.
Qiao Fei wrapped her arms around Jing Xuan’s, smiling sweetly.
“Obviously, I’m on Jing Xuan’s side!”
“Lan Qing! She’s bullying me!”
Lan Qing mischievously took Jing Xuan’s other arm.
“Xinyu, did you forget? We’re all one family now!”
“Ugh! Look at them—teaming up against me!” Liu Xinyu gave up and clung to Gao Zhe’s arm instead, feigning grievance.
“Darling, don’t forget—the two women bullying you are technically my bosses!”
Everyone burst into laughter again.
At that moment, Yan Junye and Shen Yiling came over.
“What’s everyone laughing about?”
Jing Xuan raised her glass on behalf of the group.
“Junye, Yiling—congratulations! Wishing you a lifetime of happiness together!”
“Thanks, Ahjing. So… when’s your big day?”
“Ah, I’m dying to know too! But these two grand duchesses won’t give their blessing!”
Qiao Fei jumped in,
“That’s because your proposal was way too sloppy. Of course we said no! Right, Lan Qing?”
“But you already said yes!”
“That one didn’t count! You still owe us a proper romantic proposal!”
Jing Xuan put on a helpless expression.
“Alright, alright. What can I say? I just can’t live without you two!”
Laughter echoed again.
“Yiling,” Qiao Fei and Liu Xinyu raised their glasses,
“Congratulations! Even though we’ve had our differences…”
“It’s all in the past,” Shen Yiling interrupted gently.
Qiao Fei smiled.
“Yes, it’s all behind us. We wish you and Junye a joyful marriage!”
“Thank you.” Yiling turned to Jing Xuan, raising her glass.
“Do you remember when you overturned my case, you said you owed me a favor?”
“Of course.”
“I’m here to collect it.”
“How would you like me to repay you?”
Yiling smiled faintly.
“I want you to love Qiao Fei and Lan Qing with all your heart. That’s my request.”
“You have my word, Miss Shen. Even without your asking, I’d have done so. But let’s say this favor still stands—should you ever need help, Jing Xuan will come through, no questions asked.”
“Then it’s a deal.”
Yiling downed her drink and went off with Junye to toast the rest of the guests.
Old Master Yan was tired, and Yan Siwei escorted him to rest. During the bouquet toss, to everyone’s surprise, it was Officer Shi Jiawen who caught it. After all they’d been through, no one saw her as an outsider anymore. They all offered her heartfelt blessings.

Jing Xuan strolled hand-in-hand with her two precious girls through Century Plaza, bursting into goofy laughter now and then. Her joy was contagious—Lan Qing and Qiao Fei giggled, teasing her,
“What are you smiling about like a fool?”
Jing Xuan didn’t answer. She simply lifted their delicate hands to her lips and kissed them gently.
As they reached an open lawn, Lan Qing suddenly let go of Jing Xuan’s hand and stepped in front of them, blocking their path.
“Qing, what’s wrong?”
Lan Qing gave a soft, sweet smile.
“Fei’er, I have something to say to Xuan. Will you be our witness?”
Though still a bit puzzled, Qiao Fei nodded.
Lan Qing took a step closer.
“Xuan, your Valentine’s Day proposal truly moved me, but I rejected it. I know that hurt you deeply. But the truth is, my feelings for you have never changed. I love you—more than anything.”
“I’ve suffered, felt despair, found joy, and most of all, found happiness because I love you. But what I want isn’t just that.”
Lan Qing paused, locking eyes with Jing Xuan. She spoke solemnly:
“Xuan, I love you.”
With that, she took out a ring she had kept hidden all along and knelt down on one knee.
Behind her, the lights from the buildings lit up to form one glowing phrase:
Marry Me.
A proposal?!
Qiao Fei gasped, covering her mouth in shock. By now, a crowd had gathered at the plaza, watching the scene unfold. Many couples were visibly moved. A girl proposing wasn’t something you saw every day, so all eyes were on the “groom,” waiting for her response.
Lan Qing tilted her head playfully.
“Well? Will you marry me or not?”
Jing Xuan laughed, trying to hide the tears welling in her eyes. Every moment of their journey together replayed in her mind—Lan Qing’s love and patience, her unwavering presence. Her heart surged with emotion.
Jing Xuan, you absolute idiot.
Without hesitation, she pulled Lan Qing up, took the ring from her, and gently slid it onto her left hand.
“With such a beautiful bride—how could I not? Qing, thank you!”
Qiao Fei stood quietly off to the side, watching them embrace and kiss. She felt no jealousy, no regret—only heartfelt contentment and a warm, peaceful smile.

Happiness is like a glass orb—when it falls, the shards scatter everywhere. Everyone gets a chance to gather a few pieces, but no one can pick them all up.
Still, with enough effort, you’ll collect some.
A divided heart might not seem whole, but sometimes, it fills in all the cracks perfectly—becoming something indivisible, something unbreakable.
The beautiful part is, they had finally learned what it meant to walk through life together, hand in hand, heart to heart.
