Ying Nuo has lost his memory.
Upon waking up, he suddenly realized he was an international student in the United Kingdom. Not only had his memories vanished, but he also had to manage a mountain of endless deadlines, classes, and unpaid medical bills left behind by his past self. Most confusing of all, he now had a mysterious boyfriend who appeared out of nowhere.
Ying Nuo wondered, “A boy-what?”
This self-proclaimed boyfriend, Duan Zhuyan, was cold and aloof with sharp, deep features that suggested mixed heritage. However, his face was practically a billboard for irritability. He was aggressive, intimidating, and wore several earrings that gave him the appearance of a British delinquent.
Ying Nuo questioned if this could be real. How did he ever end up dating someone like that? Furthermore, based on their chat history, it seemed as though they had already broken up.
One day, while Ying Nuo was studying in the library, a colorful adult-themed pop-up advertisement suddenly appeared on his laptop. The layout was dated and vibrant, featuring headline text that bounced festively across the screen.
Ying Nuo thought the person featured in the advertisement looked remarkably familiar. He began glancing back and forth between the screen and his ex-husband, who had followed him to the library and was currently pretending to read nearby.
Before Ying Nuo could even confirm his suspicions, his ex sent him a direct message:
Duan Zhuyan: “Why are you looking at me? I know I look handsome today. Is it because I am wearing glasses? You really like this style, do you not? Is that why you let that nerd touch your arm the day before yesterday? Your taste has gone downhill since we broke up!
Additionally, you will not even accept the money I transferred. Just to be clear, I am only worried you will starve yourself while studying. I am telling you to buy some nutrients; it is not because I am worried about your stomach or anything!
Why are you not replying? Fine, if you like glasses, I will wear them from now on. If you will not take the money, then I will cook for you. Alternatively, you can come to my place because the passcode is still your birthday.
Answer me. Do not play hard to get with me; it will not work. Baby, I know you still love me. Were you thinking about me just now when you looked at me? I miss you too. I am more important than that law code in your hand, right?”
Ying Nuo looked at this massive wall of nonsense and did not know where to start. Choosing brevity, he simply sent a photo back.
Ying Nuo: “I just wanted to confirm if your image rights have been violated.”
The other side went completely silent.
Ying Nuo looked up and saw Duan Zhuyan in the corner, clutching his phone with his head buried low. His ears were burning, and his entire body was practically steaming from embarrassment. He had been emotionally triggered yet again.
