Shen Huaixu, during a work assignment, was accidentally struck on the head by collapsing equipment. From that moment on, her life began to change quietly and imperceptibly.
At first, it was her water cup mysteriously moving from place to place. Then, waking up to find new kiss marks on her girlfriend’s body. Shen Huaixu clearly remembered that the night before, she had not kissed her girlfriend’s neck at all.
Most bewildering of all were the photos that appeared in her phone’s album. Intimate pictures she had taken, yet had no memory of.
Shen Huaixu began to suspect she had developed a split personality, especially after discovering an unsent provocative text message in her phone—
“XX month XX day, photo with my wife.”
Attached was a picture of her girlfriend’s fair skin marked with bites, and her own face beside it.
Shen Huaixu’s expression turned grim. She recognized the time and place the photo had been taken. It was a night she had no memory of, yet her girlfriend had been cherished thoroughly, inside and out.
Gu Yinghuai’s girlfriend had been acting strange lately. Sometimes, waking in the middle of the night, Gu Yinghuai would find Shen Huaixu—who was supposed to have fallen asleep earlier—propping her head up, staring at her.
When Gu Yinghuai woke, Shen Huaixu would gently caress her cheek and ask softly if she had had a nightmare, never mentioning why she had been watching her in the dark.
Even more unsettling, the usually tender lover in bed suddenly became rough and unyielding. No matter how Gu Yinghuai pleaded or showed weakness, Shen Huaixu would not relent. Each time Gu Yinghuai woke, her body was sore and weak.
Gu Yinghuai began to suspect Shen Huaixu.

Things at home had become strange lately.
The cup left in the living room at night mysteriously appeared on the bedside table the next morning; Beer vanished from the refrigerator; Unfamiliar text messages appeared on her phone; And— Kiss marks on her girlfriend’s body that did not belong to her.
Even though the surveillance cameras showed no one else, Shen Huaixu felt as though there was another person in the house. An invisible third presence.
