Exiled with a Useless Skill 'Gacha', but It Turns Out to Be a Legendary Pull That Only Summons Gods - All I Get Are Beautiful Goddess! - Chapter 12
With our new divine weapon in hand, our morale had reached its peak.
Just then, Guildmaster Gordon himself presented us with a special B-rank request, an assault on the newly discovered, unexplored dungeon known as the “Sage’s Labyrinth.”
The dangers were high precisely because it was uncharted, but so were the rewards and prestige. We decided to take on the challenge.
“Be careful, Kai. You never know what might happen in an unexplored dungeon. A true adventurer’s job is to make it back alive.”
With Gordon’s encouragement at our backs, we headed for the dungeon entrance. Built within ancient ruins, the entrance exuded a solemn atmosphere.
“Fascinating. This architectural style dates back to the Third Magical Civilization. Inside, we’re likely to encounter not just physical traps but also mechanisms that test our knowledge.”
Minerva analyzed the ancient script carved into the dungeon door as she spoke. True to her words, the dungeon was filled with intricate traps and puzzle-like mechanisms.
Pressure-sensitive traps embedded in the floor.
Doors that wouldn’t open unless levers were pulled in a specific sequence.
Without Minerva’s wisdom, we would have been stuck early on.
“Master, the next corridor poison arrows will fire from both walls. Sprint through the center!”
“Freya, prepare antidotes!”
“Yes, Kai!”
Minerva’s analysis, my commands, Brynhilde’s brute force, and Freya’s support, our party smoothly navigated the sage’s devious traps.
It was when we reached the dungeon’s fifth floor that we heard it, the sounds of clashing weapons and the roars of monsters.
Rushing ahead, we found another adventurer party surrounded by a horde of minotaurs, cornered and desperate.
“Dammit, we’re trapped!”
“We’re out of potions!”
The party’s leader was a familiar face, a veteran adventurer who had once mocked us, calling our exceptional results on an herb-gathering quest “beginner’s luck.”
When they recognized me, their expressions twisted with awkwardness.
(What should I do?)
For a moment, hesitation flickered in my chest. But abandoning them was never an option.
“Brynhilde!”
“Understood!”
At my short command, Brynhilde became a silver whirlwind, charging into the minotaur horde. The new divine weapon (a replica of Gungnir) sliced through the monstrous bodies like paper.
In moments, the monsters surrounding the party were wiped out.
“We owe you. You’re, uh…”
“Kai. You alright?”
I offered them a hand. Freya rushed over, casting healing magic on the wounded adventurers.
The leader stepped forward and bowed deeply.
“I’m sorry! We underestimated you. We’ll repay this debt, no matter what.”
“Don’t worry about it. We’re all adventurers, right?”
Their gratitude left me a little embarrassed. But helping others? It wasn’t a bad feeling.
After parting ways with them, we pressed deeper into the dungeon.
From the dungeon’s structure and trap placements, Minerva had reached a conclusion.
“No doubt about it. This was a facility where ancient sages studied mana circulation systems. And to protect their research, the deepest part must be guarded by something powerful.”
As if to confirm her words, an overwhelming surge of mana seeped from the massive door at the dungeon’s heart.
At last, the final battle with the dungeon’s boss.
I swallowed hard, then pushed open the door alongside my comrades.
