When they entered the examination room, the doctor greeted them with his usual gentle smile. Haruka and Mana stood side by side before the examination table, waiting for the doctor’s words with slightly nervous expressions. Today was their first detailed ultrasound since entering the stable period of pregnancy.

“Both of you are doing well. Shall we take a look at Haruka first?”

As Haruka lay down on the examination table, Mana naturally took her hand. They both gasped when the fetus appeared on the monitor screen.

“Ah, we can see it clearly. Look, this is the baby’s head… and here’s another baby.”

“Eh? Another one…?”

At Haruka’s surprised voice, Mana’s eyes widened too.

“Yes, Haruka, you’re carrying twin girls. Both are healthy.”

They looked at each other and chuckled softly. When Mana gently stroked Haruka’s hair, Haruka naturally leaned against Mana’s shoulder.

“No matter what happens from now on, we’ll be okay, right?”

“Yeah, they’re our treasures. Let’s all be happy together.”
