Distance Formula - Chapter 12
Chapter 12
Bai Biqing did not stay any longer. She left a message for Su Yanshi, and upon receiving no reply, she returned to the hotel.
Su Shang was already awake and specially came over to her room. She lay on Bai Biqing’s bed, covering her face. “Why didn’t you stop me? I’m so silly every time I get drunk.”
Bai Biqing was playing on her phone on the sofa, not even raising her head. “You’re the same whether you’re drunk or not.”
“You…!” Su Shang casually grabbed a pillow and threw it at her. “Be a decent person.”
Bai Biqing, accustomed to it, dodged the pillow. She glanced at the time and asked, “Have you slept enough? Go eat in a little while.”
“No,” Su Shang resented. “Can you have some consideration for a hungover Omega’s body? I am very weak, okay!”
“Heh.”
Hearing her cold snort, Su Shang’s headache instantly disappeared. She sat up directly on the bed, propped her chin on her hands, and asked, “Did Su Yanshi dump you?”
Bai Biqing gave her a cold look. “Giving you a chance.”
“Alright, alright, I’ll rephrase. Did you two have a falling out?”
“No.”
Su Shang’s expression instantly changed. She complained bitterly, “Then why are you being so sarcastic!”
Bai Biqing: “Because you’re too noisy.”
Su Shang: “…”
Fine, I’m just a tool.
Bai Biqing didn’t give her a chance to speak and directly sent her a screenshot of a webpage. “The restaurant is booked. Go eat by yourself. I suddenly feel like painting. Don’t look for me unless you’re dying. My phone will be on silent soon. Here’s a room card; just come straight in.”
Su Shang had been looking at her discontentedly, but when she saw the name of a famous, expensive restaurant in Shenhai City, she instantly brightened up. “My Biqing is still the best! I’m going now. I won’t disturb you.”
She was about to get up and leave, but remembered something and turned back. She mysteriously opened her phone. “There’s a nice hot spring in Shenhai City. Do you two want to go together?”
“Does this place allow Alpha and Beta together?”
“Of course not, but you could book a couple’s room! You’ll have to see each other unclothed sooner or later anyway.”
Bai Biqing: “…”
She put down her phone and, without any emotion, grabbed Su Shang’s collar, tossing her out neatly. “Scram.”
She immediately closed the door, took a deep breath, and started preparing her tools. Her idea was simple: she wanted to paint a portrait of Su Yanshi, Su Yanshi as seen through the lens.
She quite liked what she was wearing today.
Bai Biqing was highly focused when painting, almost blocking out all external signals. She could sit in the room all afternoon. By the time she put down her brush, it was already dark outside.
She stretched her sore body, looking at her work with satisfaction. She painted the Alpha as seen in the lens, just as Jiang Yin hadn’t been able to capture Bai Yunyan.
She wasn’t filling that regret, because Su Yanshi was different from Bai Yunyan.
The little Alpha’s eyes weren’t cold at all when looking at her; they were even somewhat intimate, as if she had been fooled by her, slowly placing her trust in her. That’s why the eyes in the painting were warm.
The sunset falling on Su Yanshi would definitely be beautiful.
Bai Biqing wondered if she could invite her to watch the sunrise together one day. She gently took the painting down, rolled it up, wrapped it, and put it away for safekeeping. She didn’t intend to tell Su Yanshi about it.
Only after cleaning up everything did she have time to check her phone. There were messages from Su Shang, friends, and… Su Yanshi.
Su Yanshi: Teacher Bai, I’m done with work. Have you eaten?
The message was from half an hour ago.
Bai Biqing pursed her lips and typed a reply: Not yet. You?
Su Yanshi replied quickly: Me neither. I’m a bit tired and don’t feel like moving.
Bai Biqing let out a soft “Hmm,” and chuckled. She thought for a moment and sent: The night view of Shenhai City is nice. Want to stroll around? If you cover up well, you should be unrecognizable.
This time, Su Yanshi didn’t reply immediately. Bai Biqing waited patiently. A minute later, she saw a message pop up on the screen: Sounds good.
