Zhuo Ti couldn’t stand her new neighbor. Every day, a different woman would kneel at the doorstep, weeping and pleading, while the owner of the house remained cold-blooded and indifferent. To Zhuo Ti, someone who lacked a shred of compassion for others was beneath contempt.
When she caught her neighbor seemingly following her for the umpteenth time, Zhuo Ti marched over in a fit of rage, ready to throw hands. But the moment she raised her arm, her palm was caught and pinned firmly in the other woman’s grip.
Despite being an eighth-degree Taekwondo black belt, Zhuo Ti found herself completely powerless.
Gongsun Wu leaned in, her breath grazing Zhuo Ti’s ear as she whispered with a playful smirk, “You spend all day watching me from your balcony… are you in love with me?”
Since she couldn’t win the physical fight, and faced with Gongsun Wu’s god-like beauty, Zhuo Ti refused to back down. She decided to beat her at her own game. “Yeah, I am,” she challenged with a defiant grin. “Think you’re brave enough to settle this somewhere else?”
“Where?” Gongsun Wu asked.
Zhuo Ti’s smile turned triumphant. “The bed.”
The next morning, Zhuo Ti woke up in a daze, wondering: Wait, who exactly ended up in whose bed last night?
Later on, through a bout of severe morning sickness, she finally got her answer.
But the problem was, she’s a damn Alpha!
